why does it feels like my character is using high heels?

So, I don't know if this is a common problem or anything. But I have an issue where it plays the footstep sounds... way too fast, to the point where it sounds like a buzzing, when I get properly moving. If I had to guess, it's a conflict with TacMove- is there a way to fix this other than ditching TacMove?

There hasn’t been a Gmod update since March. You must have needed to restart your game or accidentally found a conflict.

the latest gmod update seems to have fixed it

The sounds that are only playing for me are the jumping and landing sounds. The rest is just silent even if I do snd_restart

this doesnt seem to work on the server i play on, but other sound replacers ive used have worked. any idea why?

it's good but there's no separate footsteps for crouching and slow walk. kinda ruins the immersion. i wish crouching footsteps were really subtle and silent because stealth

Uhh every time i walk on a custom floor (i think) it just repeats the footstep sound over and over again really fast every time i walk forward. help?

tacmove causes it to play hundreds of sounds per second for me

found the conflicts, jmod and global npc hearing.

i think i have a mod conflict somewhere but i can't figure out what's causing it. don't have any mods that explicitly change footstep sounds.

idk what to do i'm still hearing vanilla footsteps overlaid with these it's driving me crazy i've even tried making completely silent footsteps and having them overwrite the vanilla footsteps sound in my addons folder, no luck.

tbh i think its caused by fumble footsteps lite, or just fumble footsteps, I will see though.

i have the same problem as the dude below me, im just walking and it plays like 200 footsteps at once every millisecond, and theres no lua errors.

Whenever I run it plays a jarbled mess like its playing a footstep noise every millisecond

I am also having the problem of there being no foot step sounds in the game despite enabling this mod.

this mod fucks with this sound so that i can no longer hear it. Sound( "Flesh.ImpactHard" ). i have every other mod uninstalled, verified cache, reinstalled, everything. idk what is going on but the mod was working fine for a long while since i had it, and i dont see any update either so im really confused

and the fact it's not* overpoweringly loud is a plus.

I wonder if EFT Armour's gear sounds combine well with this... trying to figure out a better combo then the goldsrc sound pack I had, I found it too unrealistic for my taste.

This might be more my speed, or PF footstep pack of some kind.

Nice work here though, I am curious in it's simplicity and the fact it's overpoweringly loud.

I like it a lot but I have a problem, when a nextbot kills me it doesn't make that typical sound of a punch when one dies, please fix it, it wouldn't make much sense for it to be part of the addon-

Try disabling that one. The one I officially linked isn't advertised as being "fixed."

Interesting glitch. Sounds like you have an incompatibility, an interesting one at that. Which of your addons adds "!!!!!sh_bm_main.lua"?

This will override footstep replacements for players. They will still change NPC footsteps, generally speaking.

is THIS compatible with footstep replacement mods?

i doubt you'll fix or care but at low speeds (using fine speed) there is a disconect between model and sounds (sprinting sounds while moving slower then walking)

- Fumble Footsteps Lite is not a footstep replacement mod. It adds additional sound effects to footsteps which are designed to complement actual footstep replacers, hence the "Lite."
- I am in fact a 12 foot tall man-bull hybrid with hooves instead of feet.

teh description says its compatible with fumble footsteps lite, does this mean it is compatible with other mods that change footstep sounds? also the default footsteps in this mod are very beefy. does this mean you are canonically a hunky 8-foot beefer of a man? just curious. thanks!
