Ill keep that in mind. Thanks so much!
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 7 uur geleden
Typically I go around just dismantling all the appliances in houses until I get to a high enough level. Goes a lot faster if you've read the metalworking/welding book too of course.
yawyeetthe3rd 7 uur geleden
Thank you very much! In the meantime, what would be a good way to grind metalworking? (By the way I love the mod and I'm glad to see stuff like this is still being made and worked on!)
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 7 uur geleden
You can start salvaging small gas tanks and tires at metalworking/welding level 2 and seats at tailoring level 2
yawyeetthe3rd 7 uur geleden
Good to know! What is the lowest requirement part to scrap?
hehehemann  [auteur] 7 uur geleden
@yaw - totally depends on the car part your scrapping. The mod aims to be progressive, start small and work your way up for scrapping and repairing.
yawyeetthe3rd 8 uur geleden
Does anyone know what the prerequisets are for scrapping car parts? like is it a certain metalworking level or something else?
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 15 jun om 10:59
Actually you're kinda right. You just made me realize I've been forgetting to update the list of tires in the fix-a-flat script.
Commander Brisk 15 jun om 10:51
nevermind i was looking at a modded vehicle like a doofus
Commander Brisk 15 jun om 10:49
latest update B42. fix a flat doesnt work anymore?
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 13 jun om 22:49
42.9 added a lot of bugs apparently lol
MV75 13 jun om 21:34
I just saw in the bug reports section for the game in the forums that it's not just your mod, it's a base game bug apparently. Arsenal figured it out too and the devs say they are looking at it.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 13 jun om 10:51
@MV75 huh that's strange. Glad you figured it out though. I'll test it out.
MV75 13 jun om 2:05
Ok, I figured it out. I was standing at the back of my step van with the door open, didn't matter if I left my welding mask in the van or torches or had everything on me, it just failed, nothing happened, nothing consumed. I then went away from the back of my open van, it worked.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 13 jun om 0:08
@ched salvia not caused by the mod. Seems to be a new bug in 42.9
yeah in the latest build, i get the error message + no XP after uninstalling and installing car parts
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 12 jun om 14:20
@MV75 I'll take a look at it soon

No, nothing happened at all. All items stayed. The action played is all. Leave it with me though, I'll find another rim and try again soon as I did do a uninstall/reinstall of the entire game and that usually fixes bugs for me.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 11 jun om 20:55
Like It doesn't even remove the item or anything?
MV75 11 jun om 20:44
b42.9, can't dismantle tyre rims, it does it but nothing happens.
Lobster Dog 11 jun om 7:18
@SP4RTAN Thank you for the replies. I got the mod working again on my server but in terms of the salvage option is still does not show up. I am on a hosted MP server. I only added the Vehicle Repair Overhaul MODID when I added the mod originally. Do I need to add both mod ids and the workshop id twice into the .lua?
Nikalus31 10 jun om 21:20
Hello! Not sure if this is gonna work for everyone that runs a server with this mod, but all i did was restart my build 41 server and it worked. I think it was because it was still running with the old version and had not yet restarted or given time itself to update so yeah! Hope it works but best of luck if it doesn't.
Monarch1st 10 jun om 20:02
LMAO, we played on the server 41 builds right now, everything worked.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 10 jun om 18:12
@Lobster Dog Give it a minute and unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod.

I just reverted back to the last version which was working fine. I'm guessing Steam is taking a while to update it or, if you're using a hosting service for your server, its an issue with that.
Lobster Dog 10 jun om 18:07
Cannot start my Build 41 server
iDestin 10 jun om 17:57
@Sp4rtan it is still sadly having an issue with the item state of mod.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 10 jun om 17:41
I reverted back to update 46
ChiefZigZag 10 jun om 17:26
My 41 server isn't launching anymore, what changed?
Malakhaj 9 jun om 11:50
Ok, when i upload the mod manualy via FTP I have an error when trying to jojn that states that version of fixaflat.txt is different from the server ( i have unsubscribed and subscribed and uploaded the mod directly from my workshop folder) would be greatfull for any ideas
Malakhaj 9 jun om 10:02
The only change after removing the spaces is the log shows now: WARN : Mod , 1749487945376> 17,801,364,730> ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "VehicleRepairOverhaul" not found
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 9 jun om 9:42
Hmm. Are you sure you've loaded the correct version? Looking at the warning message it looks you're trying to load the B42 version. The B41 version is VehicleRepairOverhaul (no spaces)
Malakhaj 9 jun om 9:33
Okay, we still don't have any options on the server related to the mod (neither the salvage option nor the repair with parts option). It's driving me nuts, especially since it used to work. The client downloads the mod normally when joining the server. There's no mention of the mod in the servertest_SandboxVars.lua file. Below is the list of mods — maybe someone sees something that's obviously conflicting?
In server-console.txt :
WARN : Mod , 1749485912168> 17,799,331,521> ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "Vehicle Repair Overhaul" not found.
I can see ithe mod in the files.

SP4RTAN  [auteur] 8 jun om 14:15
@Lobster Dog even if you don't have high enough skills the "Salvage Vehicle" option should still appear but should be red. Are you on a server or singleplayer?
Lobster Dog 8 jun om 13:44
Thank you Spartan. Once I have the appropriate skills with the salvage vehicle option show up? Right now I have wash vehicle only when I right click. All of the repair portions of the mod are amazing. Thank you for making it.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 8 jun om 13:34
@Lobster Dog If you're on B41 you only need VehicleRepairOverhaul
Lobster Dog 8 jun om 13:08
When implementing this mod do I need to put in the mod twice into the .ini? I implemented the repair portion and that works but I was confused as to whether I needed to put the workshop ID in twice.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 7 jun om 18:39
I just started up a server on B41 and everything seems to be working fine. Like I've said before nothing in the B41 version has been changed except for the lists of vehicle parts
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 7 jun om 17:08
I'll go back to B41 and double check this
Malakhaj 7 jun om 15:58
Hi, we're trying hard to get this mod running on version 41. We've used it before, but this time we can't get it to work properly. We don't see any options from the mod in the game (neither repair nor salvage). As mentioned in the pinned discussion, the relevant entry doesn't appear in servertest_SandboxVars.lua. The server is hosted on Nitrado. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what else we could try?
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 5 jun om 20:25
@wildwyat8933 Technically you never should have been able to uninstall them. Especially the trunks. I'll look into this.
wildwyat8933 5 jun om 18:40
As of the latest update, and the one before it,

I am unable to uninstall vehicle trunks and glove boxes.

The option to salvage them is still in the crafting menu, but there is no way to take them off of parts.

UPDATE 46...

Added Repair and Salvage options to KI5's '73 Ford Falcon
Added Repair and Salvage options to KI5's '90 Ford F350 Ambulance (were missing in B42 due to part name changes)
Added Repair and Salvage options to KI5's '04 Volkswagen Touran
Added Repair and Salvage options to KI5's Small Universal Tire (Standard Vehicle), Small Universal Tire (Heavy-Duty Vehicle) and Steel Tire (Standard Vehicle)

Salvaging wooden vehicle parts now requires carpentry level 2

Fixed non-table null error when repairing a lightbar (B42)
Fixed typo in heater repair tooltip (B42)
Fixed tire salvaging drop chances being affected by tailoring skill instead of welding (B42)
Removed an outdated file that would cause an error during part salvaging if Vehicle Salvage Overhaul was loaded before Vehicle Repair Overhaul (B42)
hehehemann  [auteur] 5 jun om 15:24
@Xing - B41 had some parts from "The Workshop" mod included as possible repair options. If you dont use that mod just ignore it.
Xing 4 jun om 23:50
Why is there “metalParts” in the repair material list, and what is it?
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 4 jun om 1:31
@Alktimel Hmm, nothing in the B41 version has been changed except for the list of vehicle parts. Make sure the salvage function is enabled in the sandbox settings. I'll check this soon to make sure everything is working properly.
Alktimel 4 jun om 1:00
B41, btw
Alktimel 4 jun om 0:59
I have the same problem as TheGoddessOfWar. There is no option to salvage a car or trailer. It doesn't work any more.
SP4RTAN  [auteur] 3 jun om 13:54
@Admiral Penguin not sure I'll have to check
Admiral Penguin 3 jun om 4:20
Hello, does it works with the mod French cars?
