Crashing when controlling camrea

works ok for me except i can't use it as a camera for the turret controller. it will zoom, but the arm won't move. it works with the vnailla camera and the zoom+ cameras

Causes a CTD after the SE update, any ideas on how to fix it?

Hoping that when this gets fixed, there will also be compatibility with Real Solar Systems

@ZEN_2255 I was running into similar issues. I saw an older comment by xxxZohanxxx, suspecting there was a bug with the power calculation. I tried adding more power to the ship I was having problems with, and it stopped kicking me out. I suspect its a bug too, because my hydrogen thruster ship with 4 charged small grid batteries somehow is worse than my ship that is a 1 small grid battery with atmospheric thrusters strapped to it.

I don't quite understand why the camera throws me out every two seconds. What could be the reason for this?

Crashes immedietially after entering the camera view, i can send logs to you privately if u wish to investigate the issue.

For a while this stopped working completely in MP but recently it started working again. Last I tried it was still working for me so I don't know what you guys are talking about

The camera causes the remote control block to stop working properly. After using it and pressing 'F' to regain remote control of the grid, it's not possible to regain control of the grid through that remote control block.

In MP causes people to lose control of their character.

Doing some test and for some reason the camera will stop working if I add more then 4 battery to a grid in creative and survival.

Doesn't work in MP with friend through steam connection. The camera automatically turns off.

Hі. The camera broke after the update. If I turn on the camera control, the overview is instantly disabled. Although in Creative, some cameras (that were created before the update) still work. But before, all cameras worked both in creativity and in survival. It seems to me that there is some bug with the power calculation, because before the camera turns off, I manage to see that there is 0 seconds of power left.

Just tested it in creative, yes it works now. must of been a fluke.

@Wolfrages The camera at least seems to be working for me in SP. I'd have to do MP testing for the Tracer. Are you running SP, MP, or dedicated?

Mod Broken with 1.202.068 Tracer doesn't seem to work. Camera won't come up.

Well... uh... it sortof worked, but really not? I got a screen with "pitch/yaw", and then SE crashed.

For dev awerness. Automatron update not like long strings in scripts.
I your mod script GUID generate key longer than 260 char game will fail to save world

New update has been submitted to fix the broken reference.

@christer.toll It looks like the latest SE update broke something. I'll have to take a look.

Am I missing something really obvious? How does this work? For me, it just works like any other camera... Plopped it onto my small grid, activated the camera, and got a nice view. No ability to move the camera, no ability to zoom, nothing.

in MP useless so far kicks out of camera everytime... too bad cause this would be excelent for weapons with extended range.

when ever I go into this camera, I cannot control the vehicle and I cant press F to leave without leaving the entire remote control block or cockpit

i can make an orbital spy satellite with this!

I have a lot of mods so I'm not sure if this will even help you but I've noticed with WIP camera paning and thermal camera mods install this mod causes a ctd every time I try to view the recon camera.

Does not work on servers, kicks you out of the camera view after a few seconds and freezes the camera and player, requiring disconnect from the server to fix. Love this mod in singleplayer, would be great to use in servers in the future if it's fixed.

I don’t know what you mean, I have no crashes, kicks, or anything and I use it pretty frequently, worst thing that happened is that it causes all my turrets to do a random short burst and it gets grinded by the build and repair, but that’s literally it.

Broken; don't use. Like others have said the camera just kicks you out and forces you to respawn or to reconnect.

Ok so I was able to get the mod to work almost flawlessly, except for some reason the camera doesn't have a faction, so any time I enter my own camera it tells me I am tracing myself

Is anyone else having an issue in multiplayer where for a split second if zooming in on an area occupied by players then will be streaming and see through the camera for a split second. Have reproduced with only this mod and also extending server sync distance to 20km

oh yeah very helpfull Hexxed...... if you can build a highmodded ship wiht just one smal reaktor that need like 1-3 GW than your welcome to tell us your building system otherwise bye

READ IF YOU GET KICKED FROM THE CAMERA: for whatever reason the camera doesn't mesh well with grids that generate too much or too little power and kicks you out a few frames after entering it, for me I found that a large grid small reactor fits its requirements the best.

I am also unable to remain in 'view' mode. Seems to give a short view from the rear of the ship then drops out

Would it not be possible to make the collision detection ignore glass blocks so we can put some protection around the camera?

Have I messed something up with the setup or is this glorious mod not functional on MP atm? it keeps kicking me out of the camera when i try to use it :p
