ty i can install this now
Thanks for reply...:)
does this mod fix the quest marker ?
Thank you all for fixing the quest marker thing, I suddenly lost interest in starbound and didn't quite feel up to doing it myself. This ultimately was a thing I made in one sitting and I kind of regret posting it now.
I'll try to update the description to include the third mod soonish. Sorry for disappearing so suddenly. Life caught up to me
now if only the mod author hadn't suddenly dropped off the face of the Earth...
My mod now overrides the specific Biome Fix functions that are responsible for the quest markers and should in turn fix any issues that Biome Fix may have had with displaying quest markers as long as the trio of mods is installed.
Also, there was a minor issue with Biome Fix missing a specific function (View:planetNumbers()) which I fixed by modifying MPI's code so that it calls a backup of said function if it can't find the original.
Other than that, I couldn't find any other compatibility issues.
ps, I had some issues with 3rd orbit medium/large moons orbiting gas giants not being selectable for MPI. Instead the magnifying glass with the negative sign in it shows up, and if I left click the moon, it will take me to the larger view of the entire solar system
Oh thanks for letting me know! I'll check that out when it's not almost 1am
I don’t get why only those two biomes would be listed though. The choice feels random to me. Especially as someone working on a planet mod with biomes that weren’t listed here, it was a pain to find planets with the biome to see if it was generated correctly. I guess it’s up to the player/server to decide whether to include this mod or not.
@Anter583
Ty for letting me know! I’ll see if i can make them compatible still afterwards. (
And that’s pretty much what I did too in terms of adding in the quest markers)
In terms of implementing it, I left instructions as to how I made it in a text file inside the mod's pak file, but the basics of it are that I searched the word "questmarker" inside 1.4's file, pasted all functions that included that word inside MPI's file (overwrote the existing ones) and then fiddled with View:renderStars() and View:drawSystemPlanet() untill I gave them back full MPI functionality (not sure how i did that, past self barely knew how to program).
Also, the reason why you can't see quests in vanilla is because CF derped and didn't update NPC quests to properly report their location, only peacekeeper bounties show up properly.
only 2 biggest biomes are listed i think
