i am new to this kind of thing so i am sure i must be making some errors along the way, but each time i drop the new sounds file onto the old one and replace the existing ones, it won't actually replace a thing and so i can't use the sound mod, do you have any tips ?

that is exactly what he said in mod description btw, "The process takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the speed of your hard-drive or if you own a solid state drive."

to help anyone still here, the game will freeze after running the rebuild command. it took my HDD around 10 minutes like it says in the desc, everything after that was fine and quick

Find the same main folder which contains the same folders that are in the zip file and just place the modded folders to main folder location and replace. Then run the commands and let them run completely to the point when the game stops being frozen.

I change all the special infected voices, run the console comands, and most all works, only the jump attack of the hunter it doen not change, I check thie files and in fact, those was reemplaced too but that jump attack did not change, is there an other folder where I need to change files?

When I try running snd_updateaudiocache, the game just closes out every time before it can finish and the sounds end up very glitched. Is there a solution for when this happens?
