Ok! Thank you for responding ! Have a great day !
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 9. juni kl. 14:20
it does not have any negative affects on combat.
Eric Cartman 9. juni kl. 11:10
Does this affect the ship combat at all?
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2024 kl. 0:00
@ 【稻妻】雷电将军 I have updated the launched fighter positioning within the fleet formation.
古德里安 12. aug. 2024 kl. 23:39
You do not seem to have modified the height of distribution of carrier-based aircraft, which are always under the fleet when the fleet fights
Tommy 16. juli 2024 kl. 12:57
Ok thank you very much. Sorry for such a noob question.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2024 kl. 12:56
below is underneath the ship mods and nsc3 in launcher - Paradox launcher loads top to bottom
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2024 kl. 12:49
so that any mod that changes ship formations is overwritten when the mods are loading. A good example in NSC3. It has its own fleet formation changes so we put the fleet formation mod below it to overwrite its built in fleet formation changes. Some shipsets also may have built in fleet changes, those are not compatible.
Tommy 16. juli 2024 kl. 12:44
@Rage000 Sorry to ask the stupid question but I haven't seen it in this discussion. When you say the mod needs to be below ship sets, can you explain that please. New to this modding thing.
TrueRebel 12. juli 2024 kl. 22:00
Dope! Reminds me of the final battle in Mass Effect 3
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2024 kl. 9:33
@GSA I have added info in the discussion page for this mod - take a look see if its what you are looking for.
GSA 15. juni 2024 kl. 13:28
Is there a mod on Steam somewhere that allows you to select all fleets at once with one click, like F2 in StarCraft? Or allows you to combine multiple fleets into one automatically, without selecting each one via shift.. On Nanomachines in the middle/end of the game there are already 20-30 or more fleets, and they are generated by 8-16 ships, it is very difficult to manage such a number of fleets at the same time, selecting them each time via shift.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2023 kl. 11:13
I am taking a look at the attack moon. You are correct that Gigastructures is set up to have the fleet spread out more when grouped with the moon. I did not see any issues with combat despite the ships being spread out more.

I also saw that if the attack moon is destroyed or if the attack moon is taken out of the fleet, the fleet stays spread out.

To restore the fleet formation you have to reform the fleet into a new one.

This means that Gigastructures is partially compatible with the Fleet Formation Mod v2 when creating a fleet with ships and an attack moon. A compatibility patch may fix it.

I am Not sure what can be done about it other than indicating that Its personal preference as to whether a more spread out fleet around the Attack Moon from the mod Gigastructures is an issue. If it is a problem then I would say not to use this mod with Gigastructures.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2023 kl. 9:25
ok thank you for the feedback. Yes its very important that the mod is listed after all shipsets and mods that contain fleet position adjustments. It is important the mod must be on the bottom.
ROMANIANOPOLS 16. apr. 2023 kl. 2:00
i think it's not your mod's problem. for wide compatible, now is enough good. it should better notice this kind of situation 'maybe' happen. i use your mod bottom of my playlist
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2023 kl. 0:55
I don't know which mods you're using but I will take a look tomorrow morning. Where do you have fleet formation mod in relation to the Gigastructures mod? before it or after it?
ROMANIANOPOLS 15. apr. 2023 kl. 23:26
i have same situation that my fleet has very wide formation than normal when attack moon had been added in the fleet. plz compare 5th and 9th image. 5th has more wide gaps.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 15. apr. 2023 kl. 22:04
5th preview image
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 15. apr. 2023 kl. 22:03
reason for? the attack moon is in formation correctly far as I can see. I have images of it in the previews. What are you seeing?
ROMANIANOPOLS 15. apr. 2023 kl. 19:45
@Rage000 in gigastructure, there is a 'set_formation_scale = 5' code in attack moon's spawning scripted effect. i guess this is the reason
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2022 kl. 20:06
Let me know what you see. I suspect the shipset or some other mod in your collection.
Thor 29. dec. 2022 kl. 17:57
@Rage000 Thank you! I'll test it out today.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2022 kl. 10:38
@SickLee I created an attack moon and combined it in a fleet with Kurogane ships and the fleet formation is correct. I put a couple of images on the previews
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2022 kl. 9:16
This implies that the shipset has something that is causing the ships to spread out wide when an Attack Moon is added. This is not the first time, in the Discussion tab I mention a specific shipset that overrides all fleet formations for all empires in the game.
Thor 23. dec. 2022 kl. 19:32
@Rage000 This can be complicated since I'm using the Elve shipset, and the patch, from
https://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=915432220
https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2810489542
But if there's a mod that makes vanilla shipset (+NSC) works with Giga's Moon, I'm more than happy to use it.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 23. dec. 2022 kl. 19:03
there are some mods that will override formation mods. Which shipset are you using ?
Thor 23. dec. 2022 kl. 18:42
Author sir, I'd like to ask for some advice.
I'm using both NSC and Gigastructural engineering. Whenever I add an Attack Moon to a fleet, the formation became very wide (spanning across the entire system). So far none of formation mod I tested helped (I haven't tried this one).
Do you perhaps know a way for me to fix this in the code?
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 18:03
BTW the NSC2 patch for Ships in Scaling Hard is for 3.5 and is not compatible with current version of Stellaris. NSC2 Had major changes for 3.6.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 17:57
Then I dont think this is the Fleet Formation mod, something else is happening. Also You need to have the Fleet formation mod Last on your mod load order. After ESC Next
Admiral Catface 18. dec. 2022 kl. 17:50
realized that I only need one fleet formation mod so I disabled the original, tested with it and still the same results. Corvettes with swarm tactic circling a station with 90% of ships out of range, destroyers with picket tactic sitting back out of range not moving
Admiral Catface 18. dec. 2022 kl. 17:47
Yeah I'll try it, I've only tested with one shipset which was the Alkari Shipset. Though I engaged vanilla ships which were behaving the same way. ive tried with and without nsc2 my modlist is large so I'll condense it to all relevant mods

nsc2
..
real space
real space system scale
ships in scaling hard
nsc2 ships in scaling hard compatibility
.. (many mods including shipsets)
Fleet formation
Fleet formation for solar system scale
esc next for 6x system scale
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 17:20
Try this, I created it for you
Fleet Formation Mod 3+ for Real Space - Ships in Scaling Hard
https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2903716345
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 15:53
I made a new version of the mod that specifically supports Real Space - Ships in Scaling Hard. Its made to support the three Real Space mods listed below. Let me know if you want to try it. I have not made it public yet.

4 Mods (in this order):
Real Space 3.8
Real Space - System Scale
Real Space - Ships in Scaling hard
Fleet Formation Mod v3+ (For Solar System Scale Changes)
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 14:59
Ok Im testing two fleets one of all battleships and one with all vanilla size classes and all the ships are fighting - so you must have an incompatible mod for Ships in Scaling hard. Which Mods are you using.

4 Mods in my testing (in this order):
Real Space 3.8
Real Space - System Scale
Real Space - Ships in Scaling hard
Fleet Formation Mod v3+ (For Solar System Scale Changes)

Many mods are not compatible with "Real Space - Ships in Scaling Hard" including - NSC2 S7 which is Not compatible with Ships in scaling hard.

So if you can provide a list of mods you're using and the order in which you have them I can take a look
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 14:26
I need to know which mods to look at to see if I can make one for it. So you are not using the downscaled ships mod? Just Ships in Scaling?
Admiral Catface 18. dec. 2022 kl. 14:24
Yeah I tried, it doesn't help it much. Since ships in scaling hard reduces the range of weapons and engagement range, it only does a little. I think the fleet spacing would have to be adjusted. I'll find if anthing just the ships in the center of the fleet will be engaged while the flanks will just circle around but not get in range. tbh i only want scaling hard the speed ajdustment, logically the engagment range/weapon range of ships should be huge in space but i dont know how to mod.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 14:16
try this one first
Fleet Formation Mod v3+ (Downscaled Ships & Solar System Scale)
https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2789951717
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2022 kl. 14:13
There are four versions of this mod, bottom of the description page. Did you try the two versions that are scaled for biggers systems and downscaled? Let me know.
Admiral Catface 18. dec. 2022 kl. 12:56
any chance to get compatibility with real space ships in scaling hard? It changes weapon ranges so fleets will just fly around barely shooting at each other cause they're out of range until you get some long range weapons.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2022 kl. 13:15
It is saying "that the Fleet Formation mod must be placed below NSC2 S7 "AND" towards the end of the load order.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2022 kl. 13:11
Both. If you do not use NSC2 S7 then you would still need to put it at the bottom because mods other than NSC2 S7 also change fleet formations. In one case, listed in the discussion tab, the ship set actually changes the fleet formations.
stratecal 17. dec. 2022 kl. 13:02
@Rage007 clear something up for me in the mod load order you say:

2. If you use NSC2 Season 7 then this mod must be placed below NSC2 Season 7 and towards the end of the mod load order.

but then in 4 you say:

4. This Mod Must always be located after ANY mod that changes fleet formations. A few examples are: "NSC2 Season 7", "BSW 3:Balanced Space Warfare", etc.

so which is it? before or after NSC2 season 7?
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2022 kl. 9:15
After testing your mods list - its working for me. If you run into any more issues or figure out please let me know.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2022 kl. 0:38
do you use discord ? if you do we can do it through that. PM me if you do.
taxel 10. aug. 2022 kl. 15:55
Thanks for responding, I'm not using "Star Wars: Kuat Ancient Empire", and it is practically at the bottom of the playlist, how would I send a .json of my playset?
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2022 kl. 9:16
If you are still having an issue it would be helpful to get a .json file of the mods you're using.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2022 kl. 9:08
Make sure you enabled the mod in the launcher. Make sure it downloaded from Steam correctly.

If it is still an issue then you have another mod affecting ships positioning in fleet formations. Did you try putting it on the bottom of the load order?

If you are using the mod "Star Wars: Kuat Ancient Empire" that overrides all fleet formation type mods.
taxel 10. aug. 2022 kl. 0:35
Weird, because my ships are in the ”vanilla” formation.
Rage000  [ophavsmand] 9. aug. 2022 kl. 10:25
yes, it is save game compatible. This mod only affects the position of the ships in a fleet formation. So adding or subtracting just affects ships positioning in a fleet. Usually takes a couple in game days for the ships to re-organize.
taxel 9. aug. 2022 kl. 8:13
Wait, is the mod save-game compatible?
