doubt itd ever get looked at but i'd love to mess with this in 4.0 if it needs an update.

Wow, that Origin looks like it would be quite crazy with the new Void hive civic in 3.9 :steamhappy:
Z-X 25 aug 2023 om 17:23
"survey all" command, or, how to "own" the entire galaxy, in less than 2 years!
(pls laugh)

does this need an update or is it ok for 3.7?
force728 23 feb 2023 om 21:55
@Cosmo: Alright, thanks.
Cosmo  [auteur] 23 feb 2023 om 4:45
It's not really my code, it's AlphaAsh's from Starclaimers Origin from Alphamod 3.0:

@Cosmo: Hey there, do you mind if I could use some of your Miasma event code for a Halo Flood mechanic I'm working on? I'll be sure to credit you for it.

A very cool concept! thanks

never survey a system next to isolationist fallen empire
worst mistake of my life
MAMPF(GER) 11 sep 2022 om 2:46
mines are now free very nice thank you.
However, see problems in the spread of empire size.
Could the modifier be increased so that the vast empire isn't an upkeep problem?
Cosmo  [auteur] 29 jul 2022 om 1:40
Confirmed ok for 3.4
NOS482 19 jul 2022 om 17:28
Compatible with 3.4?
NaCl 4 mei 2022 om 14:17
Is this remotely balanced?
It looks really fun! but it also looks like it could be incredibly powerful
Cosmo  [auteur] 14 apr 2022 om 12:08
I haven't touched this in a long while. The code is there and with permission anyone can do just that, however i probably will not be doing it.
papa nurgle's pizza 14 apr 2022 om 8:25
Is it possible to roll this into a civic? I'd love to use it with the Gigastructures Frame World origin
MAMPF(GER) 7 dec 2021 om 17:55
growth is slowed down by miasma -50%.
It would be nice to have a car terraform procress of all planets in the area
jgroves13 23 nov 2021 om 5:50
is this updated for 3.2?
flyons_gary 18 okt 2021 om 10:04
Its quite enjoyable to see your empire growing organically over time like this. Especially in a time lapse since it spreads based on the surveys
Markuis 12 okt 2021 om 12:26
I see. Now I fear the auto-explore feature.
Cosmo  [auteur] 12 okt 2021 om 9:35
It will and you can't minus just stopping short of fully surveying a system.
Markuis 12 okt 2021 om 7:01
If i survey a system next to an isolationist FE, will the origin autobuild the starbase? Is there any way to stop it on certain systems?
Cheesemongle 12 okt 2021 om 2:12
still having a lot of fun with this origin, have had no issues with it
jgroves13 21 sep 2021 om 18:56
cool
Cosmo  [auteur] 21 sep 2021 om 13:17
I'll see if i can have a look.
jgroves13 21 sep 2021 om 7:21
hoping to see this updated soon
game crashes when i try to use it
EvilChef 30 jun 2021 om 12:44
@Pqundcake yeah i wish it was possible to designate systems to be ignored. I have the same issue in my game.
PQUNDCAKE 28 jun 2021 om 19:17
Just a heads up, the auto-building includes resources you have to research for, so you can potentially get all strategic resources in the first 10 years of the game (huge economy boost).

Also to those that use this mod, be on the ball looking for the xenophobe fallen empire and make sure you don't explore the systems adjacent to them, the miasma effect WILL auto build in those systems. I've been constantly dealing with them humiliating me, but at least with how this origin works the negative effects from being humiliated by them don't effect you much, only generating 2 influence monthly, humiliated modifier drops it down to 1.
papa nurgle's pizza 26 jun 2021 om 17:28
This sounds like it could be really cool for emphasizing the "Shadow in the Warp" aspect of the Tyranids from WH40k, I'm definitely giving this a try

Thanks for the mod!!!
Freedom-In-Moonlight 26 jun 2021 om 12:42
Steam is a giant derp and downloaded an empty file and I had to unsub and resub a few times before Steam fixed itself.
Mods do not work if Steam borks the folder and gives you and empty file lmao.
Good mod though I enjoy it usually run AlphaMod but can't right now because some of my favorites aren't currently patched to Alpha
tolaburke 25 jun 2021 om 12:58
For everyone who remembers the Monster Minds.
Chara 25 jun 2021 om 11:02
something which would make this so much better, would be adding a system effect (you could recolour one of the vanilla ones) and having that take effect on enemy ships or something
Cosmo  [auteur] 24 jun 2021 om 7:58
There shouldn't be any crossover, even modified IDs from AlphaMod to not have it conflict. Try rechecking/fiddling with the mod load list.
Freedom-In-Moonlight 24 jun 2021 om 3:20
Doesn't seem to load in if other origin mods are installed
falhxer 23 jun 2021 om 13:58
very cool origin
crusader2113 22 jun 2021 om 14:07
could we get a version of this as a civic?
AlphaAsh 20 jun 2021 om 10:16
Manually build the outpost. Any system with a colony in it isn't auto-infected, A primitive's world is still a colony.
Grendain 20 jun 2021 om 2:40
I advice you. The mod dont work with Primitive systems. Survey the primitive systems but dont become infected
AlphaAsh 19 jun 2021 om 14:32
Good stuff here. Cheers Cosmo.
Grendain 19 jun 2021 om 12:57
