well they were reworked do you think it would stll work for 4.0
Spectronom 19 mart. la 13:31
update it morron
alankraskow 16 febr. la 19:11
Guys this mod and all the rest of his mods DO NOT REQUIRE AND UPDATE anytime soon, because for these mods to stop working, the core game mechanics would need to be reworked. These mods are so simple, you don't need to worry about the mod's version not matching your game's version.

@f0urtyfive, Is this working for multiplayer? I used it for a long time and it worked prior. I was reading bellow that it causes dysyncs in multiplayer

Oh, and I forgot to mention that a lot of game state gets cleared and regenerated at the start of some of the ticks (like the yearly tick).

Now the problem comes when your grubby meat sticks get involved, pawing all over the UI, and the game is going slow enough that in the frame in between the game state being reset, and finishing being regenerated, you've clicked on something that doesn't exist yet, and since frame smoothing was so kind enough to render a new frame and try to process your click or interaction with that thing that doesn't exist yet then the game crashes.

Without frame smoothing this is completely fixed because your input isn't handled (and no new frames are rendered) in the interim period where the tick has reset the game state, and finished rebuilding it.

Fun fact: While frame smoothing makes the UI appear more responsive, it makes the tick literally more slow, in some cases significantly.
f0urtyfive  [autor] 16 iun. 2024 la 3:07
@Raven the CTD you're experiencing is a flaw in the design of the frame smoothing within the core game, you can prevent it by using the smooth console command to disable frame smoothing, but this will also cause the game to freeze entirely during any slow tick (monthly, yearly, etc).

The game runs in a very basic loop where it handles input, processes a tick, and then renders a frame (which simultaneously updates any of the gui elements or recalculates every piece of math visible on screen). This probably worked great initially, but obviously if you're doing a late game yearly tick it's going to take a bit, so at some point they added "frame smoothing". All frame smoothing is some added calls into the monthly/yearly/daily tick to something like RenderFrameIfWeAreLate() which just stops what the tick processing was doing and renders a new frame without attempting to do any of the recalculation math (but it DOES handle mouse/cursor/joystick input, if I recall correctly).

just wanted to say your mod cut my 2400+ month times in half. only issue i have is i get random CTD's to desktop every couple hours. It seems to be from either too many events occuring and not clicking them within the allowed time or queing up starbase modules/upgrades while the game is not paused.

Disables achievements
DodoMans 3 febr. 2024 la 16:04
mod does not seem to work properly in multiplayer, and causes various issues including some events saying the option was picked by another player, while not having coop enabled
fLaMaster 31 ian. 2024 la 5:32
I have only one question for author or someone who familiar with stellaris moding. There used "is_ai = no". If turn on for ai too, it's are break something or what?
fLaMaster 31 ian. 2024 la 5:27
Jeezz, stop asking about update! Mod itself does not have a lot code and as far i see, does not used some variable what can be edited or removed by any patch without messing with game basics like stellarstellaris.{1-3} and set_update_modifiers_batch.

So, in another word, it may be work forewer.
Battlespark 22 ian. 2024 la 19:55
update: It does have some effect on the game. It cuts the wait time on my current playthrough from 20 seconds to 11 or so. I do not know if there are any side effects yet.
Battlespark 22 ian. 2024 la 19:44
IM going to give this a shot. Im getting 10-20 second delays at the start of each month. IDK what this is or isnt compatible with but im willing to try anything to get this insanity to chill lol. I will update soon.
The Emperor Of Mankind Warhammer 19 nov. 2023 la 14:30
does it work in 3.10.0?
Barb' 16 oct. 2023 la 12:09
Still works in 3.9 and made my late game significantly smoother

Re: load order, doesn't matter." :smallfire:
Alank2 27 febr. 2023 la 2:19
I use this mod in multiplayer for a long time now, and me and my friends never noticed any desynch issues with it. Just wanted to mention it. No multiplayer desynchs (or at least not more then usual 'once in a long while' that I had even with 0 mods), and a definite increase in FPS.
| Ryuu | 25 febr. 2023 la 4:42
Does this mod have to be first or last in Load Order for maximum effect?
Ironman20075 7 febr. 2023 la 7:05
Just to give a second confirmation: It totally improves the fps, i play with around 300 mods and my game starts to struggle around 2250 normally, i can't play faster then slowest at that point and still got lag, now with the mod i can play even fastest again
Mikara 6 febr. 2023 la 9:43
Ok thanks i remember we had a few desyncs but we been testing a bunch of mods some we cleared out which may have been the case
Daniellm 3 febr. 2023 la 18:33
i used to use the mod before 3.6

(gotta give it another shot i suppose?)

but the mod does not cause desynchs, i can confirm that. as my group used it a long long time without ever having issues with it
f0urtyfive  [autor] 26 ian. 2023 la 15:27
I haven't done any testing in multiplayer, I don't have any idea what it'd do.
Mikara 26 ian. 2023 la 10:22
Hi question, does this effect multiplayer with desyncs or crashes?
f0urtyfive  [autor] 21 ian. 2023 la 18:20
Re: load order, doesn't matter.

I've tested in late game 3.6 and do still see significant performance increase.
Jorgin™ 20 ian. 2023 la 6:53
where should i put this in the load order?
f0urtyfive  [autor] 30 dec. 2022 la 23:10
FYI: I'm not confident that the mod is a net performance gain beyond 3.6, I need to ping one of the game devs after they come back from holiday.

It will likely be a mid game performance improvement and then late game it may or may not be; I've been seeing conflicting data, where with the mod it shows a lot of CPU time spent in Army and Fleet modifier updates, however without the mod it shows a similar amount of CPU time spent in Mutex locks, which could be the same issues in different threads or not.

Either way, test it within your own game if you want to know for sure.
Fyren85 30 dec. 2022 la 20:55
Just discoverd your Mods. Thank you so much, they saved my modded game with GIGA, ACOT, Ultimate Technologies, Real Space. Now it keeps running, without your mods it was unplayable after midgame. 2-3 times a month it stopped for 1-2 minutes and every 2 days were lagging.
arieviloj 3 oct. 2022 la 5:23
its ok to run w starnet/startech? tnx!
DarknessxRisenx 26 sept. 2022 la 20:19
This is the best mod that i have found on the workshop yet. I play with 110 mods and can usually only run a 400-500 star system until the end with the crisis even with a powerful computer. I'm at 2350 in a 800 system game with maxed bars for enemies and im still hitting a nice 50-60 fps at double speed even with 5 full fleets and over 30 worlds. I used to start crawling at around 20-30 fps at this point and would be finishing games at 5-10. IDK what you did or how you found out that this would improve the game but this mod is seriously underated.
s150889 23 sept. 2022 la 7:47
Hi, Can I use it with new version 3.5.2?
thdudens 2 sept. 2022 la 15:00
Hey there, just wanted to give you a HUGE thanks! Before I subscribed you mod, my (heaviliy modded) game was allmost unplayable in late-game, even though I have a fairly powerfull Laptop. was about to say "fuck that save",but thanks to your mod, I am now full in again! Playing with the latest Version of the game, and so far I have not noticed anye "unpredictably weird side effects". - Take those 5 stars, you deserve them :)
f0urtyfive  [autor] 15 iul. 2022 la 0:13
No, it works down to the version that set_update_modifiers_batch got added, which I believe was 3.0.1
Frangiclave 14 iul. 2022 la 20:15
Would it work regardless of the game's version? I sure hope I could run it in 2.xs.
