As stated previously, there is no voice cloning work done here. This is not generative AI, this is manipulative AI, and some hand crafted work. These are the same sounds from Half-Life 1, just heavily modified. So the moral implications are the same as any other voice splicing and alteration mods or machinimas.

Listen to all these Saberspark wannabes complain about AI. I honestly don't care if you're using AI for this mod. In fact, restoring old game audio is one of VERY few things that AI should be used for. And just telling from the outdated video, it sounds really good, so it's not like the AI did a bad job enhancing the audio. Besides, we may never get the original studio quality audio.

could you please lipsync the "wisely done, mr. freeman" line? Citizen5's Endgame Enhanced mod adds a new cutscene where gman says this line in the ending, but i noticed that this mod didn't have lipsync data for that line

@Halsi Mike Shapiros voice hasn't been cloned with this project because of the moral implications. This was done just using AI powered cleanup filters. No generation or dubbing.

This process was no different than editing the audio normally, except this just does a lot of the work restoring parts of the sound that are otherwise lost for good.

besides that its AI reconstructed I feel like this really helps play into the uncanny factor of gman with very unnatural pronunciations or sounds makes it feel even more that its something trying to mimic a human voice, very awesome!

It's pretty simple, I experimented with it a little myself. Turns out there is a trial available for the program, granted export is unavailable. However you can get past it by recording your Windows audio loopback in Audacity.

This is real good, i did not think that the guy had a good GMan impression but considering that the guy did 99% of the voice work and it was all (except for GMan) really good he has damn well earned his place as a really respectable and great voice actor.
