this is definitely a great companion mod for starting a new game with. i only heard of combat overhaul due to it being a requirement for a sandbox mod that i still consider the best sandbox mod inspite the insane difficulty. quite a novelty though.

Hey SentientSupper someone in the Starbound discord server modified your combat overhaul mod to only change humanoid NPC behavior while keeping the monster behavior vanilla, and he wanted to release it, but decided against since they don't have your permission. Would it be ok if they released their branch of your overhaul mod provided they give credit? Or would you rather they hand it over to you to release? I hope to hear from you soon.
