could be due to this mod or a wrong implementation of the role you're trying to add. you'll have to link the role though that's causing the problem

Very good tool, one suggestion is to adjust the info display position and display time, preferably so that the text can always stay in a certain position on the screen

oh I've never coded in lua before sorry, it was more of a suggestion if someone that has the experience could implement as a potential solution, maybe something else would work better but that's what I thought first.

hey! I really like this mod, I think I may have a suggestion for the Defective role problem. Would it be possible to add like, a 1 second delay as the roles get distributed so it wouldn't show the Detective getting demoted back to Innocent? It could be a convar so people can add that delay or remove it depending on their needs.

when preparing starts it shows role none in the chat, is there a way to disable this so the role things only shows up when preparing is over?

Hey thanks for the info! thats a weird very specific bug. I don't know how the defective works internally. Does it happen with anything lower than 100? It sounds like more of a bug from the defective Role tbh (the addon might call a roleswitch to detective and afterwards a roleswitch to innocent instead of one roleswitch).

Hey, I really enjoy this mod and use it a bit.

However, there is one bug with it where if defective is turned on and ttt2_defective_demote_detective_pct in defective is set to 100 (causing detectives to get demoted), detectives get demoted to innocents, but get role info for both detective and innocent, confirming they got demoted and there is a defective.

May this be open-sourced so mod developers can merge their roles into the system?

Should work everything now, i moved the role detection to clientside. We tested it with Lycanthrope and Sidekick

The ones that don't work are as follows: Revenant, Lycanthrope, Sleeper, Shinigami. Oh, and the Sidekick works.... kind of. After being shot by the Sidekick-Deagle, you get information about your new role, buuuuut it shows the description of the Jackal and not the one of the Sidekick...

Ok, nevermind, i tested a little bit with the roles, which can change during the round. Roles like Thrall, Yandere, Ravenous or Killerclown work.

You can always use !r or !role to show your current role description, also it does show your role when you switch not only on round start. You might have to restart your server to fetch the newer updates of this addon? @Hannes

Love the addon, because if we have new players, we don't always have to explain everything or tab out of the game to read, what this role does. However, would it be possible for a new descriptino to pop up midround, should you happen to change your role. Because some descriptions don't even come into play, because the role description if only at the beginning of the round. (Examples: Thrall, Ravenous, Sidekick, Lycanthrope, Ajin, Killerclown, Sleeper, etc. etc.)

Should be working now. it will show their team default role as in team innocents -> innocent etc.

I noticed that there is an exploit with this add-on that allows roles that don't know what their role is (e.g. Shinigami or Revenant) to be accurately told what their role is at the start of the round. Would it be possible for you to make it not reveal what their role is?
