Anyone run into any bugs? Nexus has all kinds of scary reviews for this, saying it interferes with the actual game. Stops quests from working and other things.

You have to use Custom Family Home mod to move your family in. You'll be able to decide where your family sleeps, does their chores, and hangs out throughout the day.

Hoth did an amazing job on this castle. It is gorgeous and my favorite, now. Just moved the fam in. It is enormous but there is plenty of room to move around so it doesn't really take long to get from one end to the other. Rest in peace, Hoth. Thank you for the effort you put into this. You can see the love in all the details.

nice aesthetics though I would have used 2 of those big rooms for immersive farms for self sustaining castle.

that is what i herd in the nexus comments recently. i think someone should take over the project and make a memorial in the castle or something, a place to pay respects. and obviously fix some things. But i think keeping the castle updated would be nice. its along shot because its an old game.

you should add a place like in dragonsreach where you have your own personal dragon in there that you (doesnt need this but i would like this) can customise :steamhappy:

by the videos it seems to be farely well optimised. and clean. nice build good location.
and it was also creative to see vanilla things in a bigger size. it looks like a great plave for a quest mod.

Guys, there won't be any more updates. Please read a few pages back for the post by the creators husband. She passed away sadly, so it will remain as it is. Still a wonderful piece of art.

Also, try to break up the rooms, the large open spaces are cool but try devoting rooms to enchanting, alchemy, etc...not just an armory with those stations within. This way you can have a room to hang your magic stuff, weapon stuff, plant crap etc...also a dungeon and any sort of quest that allows the castle to show up as owned by the dragonborn so it shows up as a housing option to move your family into. Great work again though.

Change the throne in the throne room to something more nordic in design, the colds nice but you have elven shields and swords hanging, its a castle in skyrim! cmon mang! btw amazing work man

@Lisagregory Unfortunetly It wont let you bring your Spouse and children into castle grey because theres no script or dialogue that you can have your spouse to castle grey...

some one said that they deleted this mod because it made the rest of skyrim look plain. i must say i agree. i had to hear that the lady (and i stress lady) that created this mod died. in my humble opinion you could not create something as elegant as this without an incredible ability of perception. no matter how good of a scripter you are you must have the abilitiy to invision what you are scripting. i know this is way late but i just fired up skyrim again and ran across this file and all i can say is OMG. This is the person who should have done the art work for skyrim

Absolutely beautiful mod - I removed it because it seemed just too grand compared to the rest of Skyrim, but when I was running around it the castle, it was breathtaking!
