All the planet pops wear the same clothes when I enable the mod.
ChaosOmega98 15.3.2021 klo 9.49

removed the best looking face and kept the worst
brucethemoose 16.11.2020 klo 0.13
There's a missing bracket at line 199 in asari_portraits.txt

Thanks for all the SE mods. Cheers!

*clears throat* So, uh, Quarians when?
WarZone NYHC 26.8.2020 klo 12.28
Why does this mod remove like half of the Asari faces? The only face that looks attractive imo in the "Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari" is not included in this mode which is weird
Crazy Old Texan 13.6.2020 klo 16.22
Dude you do excellent work. I've never seen such quality work on the Stellaris work shop and I've been playing since 1.8
Margok 4.6.2020 klo 5.48
@McNaughton, you are doing gods work with these awesome mods!
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 2.6.2020 klo 11.50
@MendoraXII I think I know what is wrong, will fix it asap. Playing LEGO with my son now... ;)
Mendora XII 2.6.2020 klo 11.45
it work with Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari just fine though...
Mendora XII 2.6.2020 klo 11.45
i can't seem to use it with Asari or Asari Variety, when i try variant 2-6 become weird human face and body D :
Princess Stabbity 31.5.2020 klo 10.56
Any mod that adds anything to the "common" folder changes checksum. There are no exceptions that I'm aware of.

So while this mod, by itself, would be achievement-compatible, none of its parent mods are.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 30.5.2020 klo 9.32
@BOM, hmm, I wonder if the creation of a new species requires that the checksum be changed...
Vim Diesel 30.5.2020 klo 9.24
I tried both of the latter two, but they disable achievements / change the checksum as well.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 30.5.2020 klo 9.15
@BOM, it all depends upon what mod you use with my mod. If you use Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari , it changes so much in the game it cannot be achievement possible, but I believe that these two do not disable achievements Asari Variety , or Asari .
Vim Diesel 30.5.2020 klo 9.02
Hey, I can't seem to get this to work with achievements enabled. What exactly do I have to do / subscribe to to be able to earn achievements with this enabled?
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 29.5.2020 klo 5.50
@Seanow, Hi, sorry, your post got buried in that hectic discussion! Thanks, yes, that would be good. I have just done a major revision myself, simplifying the code (e.g., eliminated 1000 lines of redundancy from my clothing mods), added new clothes, and changed determination for some. I am always curious to see how others do things too! Thanks!
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 29.5.2020 klo 5.30
@GX17X, if done correctly, mods can be very diverse. Luckily both of those Asari mods were done differently enough in their file organization that I could create two mods in one here. I would never drop a very popular mod, but I also want to ensure that as many things can be covered in one item as possible. Luckily here I can.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 29.5.2020 klo 5.28
@rayden_solo, I am slowly compiling a bunch of Asari clothes, from either existing mods (touched up a bit) or from images I have found online that are lacking. They COULD use my clothes, but, IMO, it ruins the feel of the species.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 29.5.2020 klo 5.27
@Entity, it was red because the mod it was attached to is not achievement viable. I just neglected to change the icon on the bar because I plum forgot to. Now that the mod is now viable for other mods, that are also achievement friendly, then I will change it back to a green circle, as this mod is.
Entity 29.5.2020 klo 5.14
@Nith , Look here at the description pictures for the different mods. On the left side is a symbol of an iron fist with a green circle. There is a different one with a red circle which denies.

@McNaughton y You have different symbols for the Asari mod one red and green circle. In preview red in description green. This is misleading and rises question, equally it misses a written mentioning in description.
rayden_solo 28.5.2020 klo 23.04
can the asari also use the same clothing variations as humans and humanoids or only their own clothes?
Crazy Old Texan 28.5.2020 klo 19.32
As with your other SE mods this is quality work. Thanks.
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 16.12
@ThracianKnight I love you too, no hard feelings.
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 16.11
@McNaughton I only feared that I had to drop this mod, sorry if my comment more harden than necessary, but the Asari are my favorite sci-fi race and playing them outside of MEC (like with the other packs) always felt really empty, which is why I wished for this mod to continue to work in tandem with MEC - Asari instead of going off its own course.

I know modding is hard and hardly rewarding, so let me tell you that I appreciate it very much, and this is in fact the 2nd mod I ever endorsed on this site, the first being MEC - Asari.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 14.43
@GX17X, @ThracianKnight, regardless, my patch now works for all three of those mods (as far as I know), with both visions able to be represented. Now, I will, eventually, get to more variations, as well as possibly a basic clothing set, but, wanted to get a bare-bones mod out there as it was one sought after.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 13.54
Please let me know if my latest update causes any problems, it shouldn't, as the portrait file is latent until activated by a created species as far as I know! ;)
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 13.42
@ThracianKnight, no problem, I am planning to update in the future, and want to make sure that they are as accurate as possible, which was why I made sure to exclude the models that are not canon from your mod. Let me know if it works and does not give any problems...
Slippin'Shimmy 28.5.2020 klo 13.39
My point wasnt that it was only working for one particular mod, I can do some modding myself and can use those models to update my mod without a "hotfix". My point was I noticed some models were updated that dont really fit with the theme or art style of the Asari.

Regardless, thank for the mod.
Slippin'Shimmy 28.5.2020 klo 13.35
@McNaughton I dont like fandom mentality. Anything can be critiqued.

I'm also not asking you to do anything you were not going to do. I appreciate your hard work.
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 13.33
@ThracianKnight, for your mods, I just put in the Asari portraits, left out the human-esque ones for your mod. I do not have the dark blue variants yet (Asari model 9).
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 13.32
@GX17X, @ThracianKnight, done, should work with all three mods listed and not conflict! Just put this mod after the mod you choose to use and it should work fine!

Now go and play nicely together! :P
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 28.5.2020 klo 13.20
@GX17X, @ThracianKnight Wow, this got hectic quick! I can easily do both in this mod, just creating an extra portraits file for @ThracianKnight's mod, so both would work with this patch. I am planning to redo a few of the models (most IMO are pretty true). I have looked through @ThracianKnight's models, and will incorporate a few other ideas into it. First, I am going to do a blanket update of the portraits file so it will be a quick and dirty fix.
Slippin'Shimmy 28.5.2020 klo 13.00
@GX17X dude can you simp any harder? This isnt about you or your opinion.

We requested an Asari revamp from McNaughton. He did what could without knowing the universe. I appreciate his work and do not take it for granted. But like others have voiced, this was not what we expected, there was hope for a similar mod as the amazing Humaoid and Human mod.

If McNaughton will do more on these models, we just ask for more models to be included from other mods and not just modify human looking models to look like asari.

I know how much time and effort it takes to mod, and I am thankful to McNaughton for the mod. If he makes it better, great, if he doesnt, he did more than most already.
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 12.43
This mod is perfect as a sub-mod, and separating it from MEC will only lead to fewer people using it.
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 12.42
There is absolutely nothing wrong with MEC - Asari which does an amazing job in their portrayal of the Asari on every level, including events, ship-sets, and more.

If you really want to portray Asari differently, there is nothing wrong with that, but doing so independently from MEC - Asari framework is not really smart if you hope for many people to actually play with your mod.

Not only a sub-mod of MEC - Asari like this one is more efficient, but it is also bound to be more popular and appreciated by the Stellaris community.
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 12.42
@ThracianKnight Asari are basically attractive Human women colored differently, which is something that the Asari themselves have Canonically always been surprised about since the first contact.

Besides the lack of hair replaced with the Asari headpiece, they look Canonically like blue Human women, even down to their reproductive organs.

The other differences between a Human woman and an Asari are INTERNAL, which isn't something that could be portrayed in a mod of this type.
Slippin'Shimmy 28.5.2020 klo 12.15
@McNaughton did you see the mod I compiled together?

sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2025877745

Models in that mod portray Asari models more authentically wheras Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari are clearly just human faces used in that and the elves mod.

I personally dont think "Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari" is a mod that portrays the Asari outfits and features well. It has human models and human anime inspired cloths.

If youre going to do more models to make them look more Asari, it would be appreciated to add some of those models I had compiled.

I was hoping for a mod that was similar to your previous ones, and not one tailored for "Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari" mod. I know you have a lot on your plate and modding is usually a thankless job.

If youre going to do Asari, please do it so the community can use it, not just one particular mod, which itself is a compilation of other mods and outfits.
Seanow 28.5.2020 klo 11.28
hey, i reorganized and fixed some missing and unused but otherwise working files in your "SE Humanoid" and "SE Human" mods. Just wanted to let u know because i think it could help you stay organized in ur future mods. if u wanna take a look at it just lemme know
Lemon Soul 28.5.2020 klo 8.09
@💖⎛⎝Silver Knight⎠⎞💂⚔

the Asari in that pack are very far from the perfection that is MEC - Asari mod
quantity doesn't always equal quality
マーク Mark 27.5.2020 klo 19.18
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKS!!!!!!

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS.

NOW JUST MAKE THE UNCENSORED VERSION.

@【E•L•E•M•E•N•T】 working on a little project to help a group with their mod, plus simultaneously working on visible cyborgs, as well as another Humanoid group (will not do all DLC Humanoids in one go, 4 at a time). I have 4 base models worked out. I personally found that many DLC humanoids matched more to mammalian than humanoid. I am borrowing from a few universes for inspiration, plus a basis for the original DLC characters (e.g., HP1 will have horns, HP6 will be spacey with tubes, HP9 will be some aquatic-esque, etc...), but more 'humanoid' in appearance (think Species, Star Trek, Star Wars as they took humanoids).
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 27.5.2020 klo 15.29
@Wamen Respector, Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari does a thorough job on outfits for Asari, as you can see in my previews. They fit my models perfectly! I don't know if I will modify or add, as they would look strange in my universe's outfits...
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 27.5.2020 klo 15.27
@Princess Stabbity, thanks for keeping me in the loop. Glad to hear you all are done updating your mods and are able to focus on making new things and revising. Looking forward to what comes next. I dig deep into mods a fair bit, I like the code I have found from your Asari mod and the Elves of Stellaris, helped knock off 1000 lines in my clothing sets.
【E•L•E•M•E•N•T】 27.5.2020 klo 15.12
These look great. What pack do you plan on doing next
MnCnNn  [tekijä] 27.5.2020 klo 14.53
@ThracianKnight. I plan to make "M" and "Ma" more Asari, and don't have "R" activated personally.
Lemon Soul 27.5.2020 klo 7.09
Omg yes!

Green Asari too wow!
NorwegianGopher 27.5.2020 klo 6.57
Would it be possible to make the human outfits you have made available?
