well, I've uploaded this mod on paradoxplaza and nexusmods, so you can get it there and install it manually. It should be compatible forever, so after you've got it you won't need to touch it again. Links at the bottom of the description.
Sounds like a new-launcher issue... Do other mods work for you?
I'll see if I figure out anything. Mod should be compatible with any game version, as it's just a simple image edit.
but yeah, I'll eventually update it to get rid of the warning, but I'm not playing Stellaris right now so idk when

there are UI mods, but these images are, as far as I know, rendered at their full resolution, so to increase their size they'd all need to be replaced with higher-res versions, along with normal UI modding I suppose
Stellaris will never be the same again
