Man I had this mod for a year and never said it but thanks so much for that,some missions/mod interactions give so much dumb moments like 35 chryssalids on the map lmao,this mod is a godsend to just "run to the statue,put C4,bye bye",thanks again for this

I downloaded this mod half a decade ago because there was a mission of "Bomb this relay and then kill everyone." I bombed the relay and then everyone died and it counted as a failure. Just feels more grizzled that it's a Pyrrhic Victory instead.

This mod is great! I'm playing Covert Infiltration, had to do this mission but was down to 3 "available" guys and not great w/ weapons/armor. I put them all in civilian disguises, snuck through the map, and popped off the commander while the evac ropes were dropping.

Most badass surgical strike in a couple hundred hours of play.

oh sweet, this fixes an issue I have where unconscious and evacuated Field commanders are not considered "Dead" by the game.

Hey thanks for the amazing mod! I was just wondering if there is a way to prevent a "Flawless" rating from half completing a mission? I'm using this with the mod that gives a bonus for completing a flawless mission and it just feels weird being rewarded for half-arsing the mission haha

is there a way to keep the lose soundtrack? I don't wanna hear the "we did it" track when my squad gets wiped but managed to get the job done first. I want my victory to feel BAD

I’d say no, but in virtue of the fact that most (if not all, not sure) mission types in LWOTC are new ones, while this simply modifies vanilla mission types.

However, most LWOTC mission types require you to EVAC to complete instead of routing the enemy, and those that do require you rout it are the ones where routing it is the whole point of the mission, so Phyrric Victories wouldn’t be needed anyway.

With this mod, you can complete almost all missions flawlessly. Just one Reaper for stealth without fighting at all.
We need a mod that, when fulfilling the main goal of the mission, will mark it as well done and that's it — nothing else is needed. ;)

Would it be possible for this mod to also manually add "Optional: " or "(Optional) to the displayed objective names when it's applicable, or would that require it modify extra stuff that would affect compatibility?

Hey Reality :) Just wondered if it was possible to keep the bodies if I was forced to EVAC? Due to neutralize all enemy targets being bugged on recover item OP missions. Killing tons of enemies to not get any corpse drops still stings a bit lol.

If the mods themselves don't mention it, easiest way to check it would be to try making those missions through cheat commands (I forget the precise commands atm) and see what happens when you meet the conditions the mod should trigger at.

This has been a huge help for such an annoying BUG! Recover items OP missions, Bradford at the end says reinforcements inbound, eliminate all enemies but the stupid reinforcements never come. So I could never complete the kill all enemies! Is this mod able to also keep the bodies if your forced to EVAC from a bugged mission?

Is there a way to remove the condition of winning by extracting on the field general mission? Because they tell you after he is killed that they shouldn't be allowed to recover his body.

Going off of what Gguy and Rikimaru said, a cool idea would be the addition of an "Extract the Field General's corpse" optional win requirement to that mission. The Extract Corpses mod could be used in conjunction with the mission as a self-imposed challenge if you want the authentic corpse-snatching experience, in the meantime.

Forgot to install this mod for my latest install and was really mad to discover that the 11 civilians I evacuated in a haven mission gone bad didn't count for anything.

Thanks for this great mod! I encountered something that wasn't intentional probably. So I finished the main mission objective and afterwards my team was outnumbered af, and I decided to evac instead of killing them all. I managed to evac 2 soldiers, 1 ended up dead and the other 3 were bleeding out, left on the battlefield :(
And then "mission complete" pop-up showed up, saying that 1 soldier ended up dead and 4 wounded (1 actually managed to evac unscathed) and all 5 suddenly were on skyranger heading up home. Well, I mean... hello again? You should die or be in prison now tho...
I should add that it was a mission from "[WotC] More Mission Types" mod, where you have to fight enemies to provide distraction

@RealityMachina A must have mod. some mission failures really didn't make much sense in vanilla WOTC. That said, i personally think that the Field General mission shouldn't be included since Bradford states that the aliens can't be allowed to recover the general's body.

I never understood the "Neutralize all enemies" requirement

XCOM is now a stealth guerilla organisation, not an established military force there to secure a perimeter

I always took it as Bradford holding on to his early XCOM days and still trying to satisfy the long gone council.

@Lebowski - It's fully compatible with Sensible Mission penalties. I looked through the files and the template mods for each are different. I have been using both mods together now for a long time without having to change either.

I've read all the comments I can find regarding the compatability of this mod and [WOTC] Sensible Mission Penalties,

but I'm still unsure as to the use of that mod when using this one. I can disable any of the five Mission types in XComSensibleMissions.ini to make compatibility trivial but I was wondering if any of those mission types, other than the Guerilla Ops one would be of any use?

Thank you for your mod, I have been using it for a long time now :)
I am very interested in a "advent reinforcement countdown" type of mod attached to this one. The idea is: you are detected and you have 5 or 6 turns to complete the mission before advent reinforcements start dropping in every 3 turns. If you win before reinforcemts appear, then it's a clean vanilla type win, if reinforcements arrive you can still go for a vanilla win or opt for a pyrrhic victory, or lose. A bit of risk management with higher stakes than just a simple timer.
Maluco Marinero's Reinforcement missions did something like this. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to make it compatible with WOTC or make a mod that uses his ideas.
Any WOTC mods that do something like this?

Wow! Thank you so much for making this. I was stuck on a bugged mission before, I had already killed all enemies and completed the objective but the damn game was bugged so I had no way to progress. Console commands were not able to save me since I did not know the ID of the mission to use with the ForceCompleteObjective command. Again, thanks!

Would it be possible to make it so when I evac from a "neutralize field commander" mission while using the Extract Corpses mod, the mission is considered a true success rather than a partial victory if one of my soldiers picks up and carries the dead general with him?

this sounds awesome. it felt wrong for me when my mission was to kill a single enemy its sound strategy for a group like xcom to not sit and fight an entire garrison when you are supposed to be the underdogs

I have Flawless and using the WotC-SDK pack I ran a search. I'm no modder but the search for OnSuccessFn and WasMissionSuccessfulFn did not return any matches. I hope this means that the Flawless mod is compatible.

I don't have Overflow Ability Points and wouldn't use it personally, so can not run a search on that.

Had a supply raid bug up and requiring an extraction. This helped greatly. 11/11 kills and yet still asking for more. Heh.
Worked quite well. Still have to experiment more with it.
