i assume if you fiddle with the NumInForcedDeck for the replacers (ie disable them as random promotions or in GTS) it would allow you to do so or you could just use the Use My Class mod (and no this mod shouldn't be disabling the vanilla classes as their NumInForcedDeck is always set to 1 and their NumInDeck is set to 4)

Does anyone know of a mod that adds the 4 base classes back or at least allows you to get their GTS upgrades?

this appears to conflict with Project EXVENT: Playable ADVENT soldiers. I dare not try to run the game with both of those mods active at once. I am sorry.

Is anyone else having an issue where you can't train psi ops in the psi lab and can't rank any up with console commands?

i changed the numbers to -1 and 0 cuz I want Biotics to only be GTS trainable. I'll tell you if it works.

@HotelCharliHill This is really handy if you have modded classes like Jedi, or Spartan IIs or something that are really powerful and may be silly if you get a bunch of them through random promotions. But it can also be handy if you think there should be less of a certain vanilla class as well. The example used in the description mentions specialists, if you think the other classes are more important than specialists then using this mod you can change the specialist class to only be trainable at GTS so you don't get tons of them from random promotion.

Hi, I'm a smart fellow but not the smartest.... What exactly is the aim of this mod? "make selected classes only trainable through the GTS and not obtainable through mission rewards or promotions"

So to tailor my campaign I can make it so certain classes can't be "rewarded" after a mission or randomly through a promotion FORCING a soldier down a road or into a skill I didn't want for them? Interesting, but what are some examples of classes I WOULDN'T want soldiers to go down? Or what are some classes I'd want my soldiers to train as through the GTS without waiting for it to be randomly rewarded?

So I have the Psionic Class mod..
and I want to only be able to train it in the GTS like your Officer class I set the NumInDeck=0
in the Psionic Class mod and it still promotes rookies to PSi ...??

Though it just occurred to me I'm not even sure why I'm using that other mod, it doesn't seem like something I would use, I must have gotten it mixed up with "[WOTC] XCOM Psi Overhaul"... So not as urgent an incompatibility personally, but still worth noting.

This seems to be incompatible with "[WOTC] Psionic Class Overhaul", I don't know how badly (I haven't actually tried to run the two together, just getting a "1 conflict" notification in the Alternative Mod Launcher between these two mods), but I didn't see it mentioned here so I figured I should mention it.

Nope it's not compatible with RPGO. It's listed as a dependency of a dependency for [RPG Overhaul - K's Officer Class Specialization] but it renables the base classes back so you've got a pretty high chance to roll into a noncustomizable class.

Is this compatible with RPGO? I've enabled any rookie upgrading to a faction class, but I don't want any auto upgrades into these, so would this mod allow that? while running RPGO?

here a question for you ... if your using the LW2 Class & perk mod that override the vanilla version and with this mod the reable them ... is there a way to disable them again as to no having both Vanilla and Lw2 class in the seletion??

I honestly wished this worked, but it doesn't, at least for me. Valkyrie, Samurai and Firebug show up all regardless of my .ini edits.

@Fun Pak You need to insert them yourself. But make sure you do the same for Akimbo in its own file - it has its own thing and it won't work until you do that.

I can't find the two modded classes I'm using (Samurai and Akimbo) in the XComClassData.ini file. Am I just looking in the wrong place or do the mods just not work together?

Cool mod. Is there a way to make a class available ONLY in the field (such as the Black Market or Soldier reward and rescue missions) and untrainable in the GTS or random promotions or would I use the NumInForcedDeck=0; NumInDeck=0 for this?

Yeah, figured it's something that's hard (impossible?) to achieve with just ini edits and some people are interested. I was planning to include this in a bigger mod of mine, but UnrealScript is so unintuitive for me at times (even with some experience from Unity3D) that I'm almost about to give up, especially with the amount of work I need to do to modify existing templates or code.

@mildly Nuclear you can just by editing the ini files. In the mod under the "ueful cases" right above gives you the combo to let classes that you have to promote into be selectable from the GTS.

Oh this is cool, I was hoping I could make some classes in my game GTS only like Valkyrie and Samurai, thanks for this.
