They don't work with custom colours unlike other mods

nope! it just adds new colours - i've used it with mods that add drumsticks to avians and have had no trouble there

Will this overwrite the drumsticks from the better avians mod?

suggestion: a version with pink talons, like doves and some other birds
you don't have to do it if you dont feel like it, of course, but it might be neat
