I'd love a VTA version of these cars. They're essentially the same cars I operate at VTA but a newer version.

Hello! I love this asset, looks amazing in my city. One question, is there any way you or I could switch this to be a monorail asset? I realize that Train Stations Converter is a thing but I don't believe that can switch to monorail, and MOM does not work for me (I have to check mod incompatibilities and such to figure out why). If not then it's not a problem, thank you!

I love these assets, it's just a shame that the game doesn't allow for bidirectional trams (and yet it it allows bidirectional for cargo trains and passenger trains)

May I ask, why is this uploaded as a train asset when it clearly is meant to be a tram asset? I don't have an issue with converting it, I was just curious on why it is what it is?


Is it because it's too long to be a "tram" by the game's standards?

@Meesmoth have you figured this out yet? This is originally a train asset; you'll just need to convert it to tram using the train converter mod

I want this asset to be used as a Train (https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=801201453) , but I could not convert it properly because I can't find any guides available.

I'm not sure how asset creators create these kind of tram-train assets so that's why I am asking for some advice how.

@msyhd, These look great. I think you can change the shader on the tram to a train using a similar script to here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbFvYGO-AFE

Haven't tested it myself though on my trams.

you could still release it as a tram, so we can choose if we want a version with lights or not... many of us dont want to bother with using train converter, but we would still love to use your amazing tram! because it looks so good!

Time4justice Unfortunately, I can't release it as a tram without sacrificing the lighting issue similar to the metro that I have. You may have to enable the mod in-game and load a savegame in order for the xml file to appear.

@LuisAC_8071 As I said in the comment below this one, metros and trams don't have light and illumination map. You can see that here on the screenshot at night , the front car (Metro) doesn't have any light while the other cars (I set them as Trains) is perfectly lit. So yeah I'd rather post them as a train but with a guide included in the description.

@mauritsivs If I made it as an actual tram, the headlight and the windows won't light up at night as it doesn't seem to have support for headlight and illumination map. So from now on, I guess I'll just post my metros and trams as a train but with a guide on how to convert them. Hope this helps. Cheers!

I'm from the Seattle area, I can confirm that this is a one-of-kind Kinkisharyo LRV was specifically built for Sound Transit in their default wave livery. Sound Transit is moving over to Siemens S70s rolling stock starting in 2019 on their light rail routes.

@msyhd Ah I understand. I thought there was a "generic" factory color version but after doing a little research I don't think one exists. Which is fine. I love the vehicle.

landandskygirl Glad you like it. As far as I know, this is the main livery on the train. Perhaps you meant a version with single color / line color?
