the game processes what hair a character has as a small text string, the in game ones being named stuff like "fem5" or "male12" or whatever, it saves that piece of text to your character and then every time you launch, it looks for a hair sprite that's named that. so for this youd need to be able to change players chosen hair to the name of this mod's sprites, which are unfortunately all uniquely named.

So it takes the player save and alters it. You launch it and can change the characters appearance or give pixels etc. I changed the hair by simply clicking the next number up and it worked when i relaunched starbound, even with the 'alt nova kid head/hair' replacement. So I think this could work too?

i don't know how starcheat works, how does changing your hair type work in it

I get a brand glitch thats not transparent...it has blue'ike background. Anyone else have this...or is this because of 'Novakid Brands Expanded' ?

If my character has no hair or bald option, it's no perfect.

No. Everybody will have to have the mod installed to see you with the hair.

You'll only turn bald if you uninstall the mod...

maybe make wig version? For people who want these fancy hairs, but afraid of turning bold if something will go wrong

Yeah, they are all static. I'm not entirely sure if it's possible/feasable to make animated hairstyles. As it is the only current dynamic hair mod i know of that exists is actually two clothing items for one hair style

so i take it these are just plain old static hair styles?
i'm shocked no one has thought to make animated hairs for the novakids.
