yeah most of the codexes i ganked from enraged koala, hence why it was absent here. i do have the glad giraffe assets and my code's ported over to github, so i'll work on adding the pre-lore-overhaul giraffe codexes too when i'm not busy.

i do plan on making a version of the mod with the original unedited codexes from the koala build, but it's gonna be a while before i get to it. haven't really touched starbound modding in a while.
i'm only doing codexes. unfortunately i'm not savvy enough in SB modding to add racial questlines, and that shit would take even longer to add because of planning and level design alongside actual implementation.
if anyone wants to do it, they're free to. i'd honestly love a total conversion a la FU that makes the feel of the game closer to what was planned during the Koala era. ;;
Some core people, who used to originally work on starbound, left (forgot if they left chucklefish completely or just starbound dev team). Game used to stale in early access state for a long time to make community riot. So - they decided to rush 1.0 "as is" and cut lot of things, that wasnt finished, in order to fix them post-release (mechas, for example. Also novakid villages. Also really long list of stuff, that didnt come back yet). Obviosly such butchering wont work well with lore, especially since it was built around unimplemented content (if I remember correctly, each race should had their own unique tutorial and story). So - they shared what (I suppouse) used to be human's race story to everyone and push it into release.
I used to own starbound for a really long time. I swear, that protectorate bs, we got in 1.0 was added to unstable in like 2-3 patches (around month, mybe even less) before full release.
