I've previously considered documenting how I create playermodels. Unfortunately, I removed Autodesk Max and have no plans to re-install it. Although, everything I learned came from this Facepunch forum thread created by CaptainBigButt—QC Files [web.archive.org]; and since this information is already out there, I feel it's unnecessary to essentially re-cite everything.
However, I've actually started jumping back into the player-model rigging shenanigans once more with a newer method—using Blender. :0 Pretty ecstatic over how efficient it is! It fixes a lot of the problems I've encountered from rigging player-models, including that dreaded nerd-neck posture all my player-models have lmao
I won't make any promises, but I might come back and redo the rigs for Cup and Mug for Garry's Mod soon. If I do, I'll resize the model slightly larger.
Another reason why I keep them so small are for the reasons with a Mario/Luigi playermodel up on the workshop. When upscaled to be player height, everything essentially becomes fatter. It looks horrible in my opinion. Cuphead & Mugman would be no exception with their large head, glove and shoe proportions
However, I have very little involvement with the model itself, so take it with a grain of salt. All I've done was port them over to Garry's Mod. I just haven't heard Pipann speak about making anymore Cuphead content.
@Oliver & @Emerstta - Yes. These are playermodels. You can find them in the playermodel context menu as you would with any other playermodel :]
