So hi all; I've updated this mod to Stellaris 3.6. You can find it here;

https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2907769573&searchtext=

If EdFromEarth wishes me to take it down, please say so. All credits to the original author of course!

@Vortek Gamer,
yeah this mod doesn't work anymore because 3.4 changed how names are stored in the game's database. @ontoclasm has a fixed version of Just Name Lists and is looking at updating this one.
Vortek Gamer 3 Eki 2022 @ 12:44
seam like im the only one using this because no comment about it but seem like this mod dose not work anymore.
NCTribit 13 Haz 2022 @ 12:19
Mod still work?
NCTribit 13 Haz 2022 @ 9:01
Мод все еще работает?
Hull City Fan 14 May 2022 @ 20:31
Can confirm, this is an issue with Real Space, where Sol Sector systems are being named as NAME_(star name). personally this is not an issue with this mod. For myself, all other star names are ok, including star names from this mod.
Hull City Fan 14 May 2022 @ 19:39
I've removed this mod to find that NAME_(star name) is still happening. idk whether it is because of this mod or not now, maybe the mod has overwritten some files that stick around regardless of whether the mod is active or not, or maybe it's a different mod entirely. It would require a full reinstall of the base game to which I currently cannot do to check.
Hull City Fan 13 May 2022 @ 21:56
@H.E. Pennypacker getting the same thing, although hyperlanes are not missing for me, thats probably another mod's fault as you said.
Sindowne 13 May 2022 @ 13:27
@H.E. Pennypacker @Boisegangpc Either one of y'all old-schoolers wanna let me know if this gets updated? I'm going to try and work on learning modding for Stellaris simply to bring mods like this up to date, but honestly I've not got any idea if it'd end up even working.
H.E. Pennypacker 12 May 2022 @ 22:03
@Boisegangpc just replied to you in the name list page. Yeah, real shame. For this one, the star names are coming up as "NAME_(star name)" in the galaxy and my hyperlanes are missing, although not sure if the latter is part of an issue with other mods.

Meanwhile, I think name lists is crashing my game. All my crash logs are ending with name list format errors.
Boisegangpc 12 May 2022 @ 21:09
Glad it's not just me who noticed the amount of broken names. :(
Boisegangpc 12 May 2022 @ 21:09
RIP
H.E. Pennypacker 12 May 2022 @ 20:19
Welp, it's finally broken.
AlphaLoures 13 Ara 2021 @ 1:02
I don't think this need an update...it works
Rogueone 9 Haz 2021 @ 10:02
Please update so that this can work with larger galaxies
Rastro 19 Nis 2021 @ 14:16
this adds 4500 star names. If you need more you're crazy. Or your computer is. I'm just hoping the scripting didn't break anything
All hail the Cartlord 18 Nis 2021 @ 14:27
Why would it NEED updated?
B-loeber 15 Nis 2021 @ 17:04
will this be updated? would love to have more names in nemesis :)
Sterling Archer 14 Oca 2021 @ 1:31
@author, add me as an author and I will make sure this is kept up to date.
TyTea42 15 Ağu 2020 @ 14:04
does this work with 2.7?
Willelmus 28 Tem 2020 @ 5:14
Any chance of adding all those "Ross 342", "Wolf 641" and "HD 4673" star names as well?
Sterling Archer 15 May 2020 @ 6:50
Ed could you please update this to the new file format so the launcher stops crying about it being out of date?
All hail the Cartlord 29 Eki 2019 @ 23:46
As far as I am aware, there is no way this mod could be rendered incompatible without a full rework of how Stellaris handles modding in general.
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 29 Eki 2019 @ 12:28
As far as I know, it should be. Sorry to say I don't have much time to keep up with Stellaris mod updates these days.
piggymadbro 22 Eki 2019 @ 12:03
@EdFromEarth is this mod still valid for 2.4?
Reika 11 Tem 2019 @ 19:48
Well, I am more wondering if I can use it in 2.1.
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 11 Tem 2019 @ 15:45
It shouldn't be, but we can't be certain of how star naming mechanics may change in future versions of the game.
Reika 11 Tem 2019 @ 14:46
Is this mod actually sensitive to the game version?
Little Knot Riding Hood 4 May 2019 @ 23:44
Curious if you happen to have old versions of the mod laying around somewhere? Can't fucking stand anything past 2.0 and obviously am having troubles due to the updates to the mod in place in a version without features present within the mod.
paulo 4 Nis 2019 @ 8:31
We already in the build 2.2.6. When you will update this mod for it?
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 6 Ara 2018 @ 8:10
@Blaze5 I'm glad you've enjoyed it!
Sylvie | Abyss 6 Ara 2018 @ 7:43
great mod, I've been using it for over a year in most of my modpacks.
Baron Khazadson 9 Ağu 2018 @ 14:52
Ah, shoot, forgot that. I just wish PDX would finally update it so that you can identify nameless systems.

Cheers!
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 8 Ağu 2018 @ 22:59
@Baron Khazadson I don't see why it WOULDN'T be save compatible. It will only have an impact on new games, however, as star names are assigned during galaxy creation.
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 4 Tem 2018 @ 18:59
@Majorshepard No worries at all. Enjoy the mod!
Majorshepard 4 Tem 2018 @ 18:01
Yeah I think it might be Real space or something. I'll still get rid of Expanded System Names Redux tho, it edits the same file as this does. I prefer this to ESNR as this uses official designations for stars. Sorry for troubling ya :p
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 4 Tem 2018 @ 7:45
"systems that have no names and are completely devoid of any planets, stars or black holes"

I can't see how this mod could cause that. This contains a single file of names to supplement the base list for random assignment during galaxy generation.
All hail the Cartlord 3 Tem 2018 @ 20:29
It's for-sure a conflict.
Majorshepard 3 Tem 2018 @ 19:38
I may also have a compatability problem with Expanded System Names Redux so I might remove that if that could be causing that issue.
Majorshepard 3 Tem 2018 @ 17:00
I'm not sure if it is this mod or not but I am having a case of systems that have no names and are completely devoid of any planets, stars or black holes. If I go into the sytem with teh camera it is completely blank and I can't even see the sky/space box. I also dunno if this mod adds nebula names but I have seen a name with an error "Curtainfall_Nebula).

If this isn't the cause of it sorry for wasting your time and good luck with the future of this mod :D
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 26 Nis 2018 @ 18:09
It should still work with 1.9 although the game launcher may claim otherwise.
All hail the Cartlord 26 Nis 2018 @ 15:37
(Note that this may be listed compatible somewhere, but I'm asking this question on every mod I have because screw 2.0)
Is this mod compatible with V1.9? Or is there a seperate version, possibly?
Lord Sam Sinister 13 Şub 2018 @ 19:23
That fixed it, thanks!
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 13 Şub 2018 @ 3:36
Furaigon, that's a weird one... I've rolled back a change that may be responsible. Let me know if the problem persists!
Lord Sam Sinister 12 Şub 2018 @ 21:45
Hey, as of the most recent update, this mod is making my autosaves take 10+ seconds. I made sure to deactivate all other mods when verifying this. I have no idea how this mod could have caused it, but the issue's gone after deactivating it.
GOWONZU 11 Oca 2018 @ 23:58
Nevermind, i uninstalled the mod and got the same problem. no clue whats the cause but it aint the mod, my bad.
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 11 Oca 2018 @ 13:42
GOWONZU, I haven't seen that one before and wasn't able to reproduce it right now running the game with only "Just Star Names" enabled. Are you running any other mods?
GOWONZU 11 Oca 2018 @ 13:32
Im not sure why, but all my star names are bugged, they all begin with "NAME_"
Gaia 4 Ara 2017 @ 13:35
That's actually pretty cool. That'd make the names feel a lot more multicultural than mine. Nice dude. :)
EdFromEarth  [yaratıcı] 4 Ara 2017 @ 13:34
About 1800 of them are just Bayer designations like Epsilon Ceti and Lambda Tauri. The other 2700 are a combination of real star names that were not included in Stellaris' stock list, including a number of real star names from other languages such as Latin, Chinese, and Japanese, and finally a smattering of fictional names I created by slapping syllables together with Excel.
