Figured it out. Thanks for a nice handy asset

I'm new to plane stand. Does the pedestrian path have to connect all the to way to the road, or just to part of the plane stand? I use your mini terminals and they work fine. If I figure this one out it will be more useful

it is possible to make a plane stand for airport DLC?
vasimr22  [auteur] 22 dec 2020 om 0:14
@Dommer That's a known issue with moveit. It sometimes breaks airplane networks
Ezalor 21 dec 2020 om 23:13
so, if i move this Plane Stand with moveIt, there's no planes spawn?
vasimr22  [auteur] 14 okt 2020 om 15:53
@Failer The airport roads (taxiway and runway) need to form a loop in order for planes to spawn. If you open up the vanilla airport in the asset editor, you will see how this is done.

In terms of the road / pedestrian path, they just need to be placed "close" to the asset. I believe they are set to not create trash, so a pedestrian path should be sufficient. I would define "close" as approaching within the width of the planestand road to the square part. Underground pedestrian connections will not work with it.
Failer 14 okt 2020 om 14:00
vasimr22, i can't figure out how to make these work. I got a custom airport, custom runway and taxiways. It works, when I place cargo terminal, cargo planes spawn and land on it.
But when I place your passanger stand, both 320 and 350 versions, i can't make passanger planes to spawn. When I ploo vanilla airport, they do spawn. Do somethig is wrong with me placing the plane stand.

How should i connect the road/pedestrian path? Should it end in the "square" that makes the asset? Od should it end where the Underground pedestrian connection is? Or should it end right up against the taxiway included in the asset?

@TurtleShroom As far as the CS simulation is concerned, the planestand is the the object that lets guests interact with the planes (i.e. it is effectively the "airport"). You need to connect the planestand to a road or pedestrian path, and then to a closed loop of airport roads (taxiways and runways). There are various guides online that show you how to do so.
TurtleShroom 1 sep 2020 om 11:30
How do you make the airport process guests and make them spawn when they land? Does the Plane Stand do that for you?

Thanks for the help @vasimr22
vasimr22  [auteur] 24 jul 2020 om 14:43
@Rake That's incorrect. All you need is a airplane path going through your city (the purple line). If you connect it directly to the airport or runway, the plane AI will not be able to smoothly animate between states (so the aircraft might dive for the runway at a 45 degree angle for example).
The stands don't count as an airport, you also need a taxiway and a runway, setup in such a way that you form a complete path from the runway and back to it. To make multiple runways appear functional, you can connect different planestands to different runways. Alternatively, most airports with parallel runways will always have one taking off and one landing. So you can have a taxiway exit one runway, go to the planestand, and enter the other runway.
Rake 24 jul 2020 om 9:13
wow, complicated, what i meant was that when drawing the airplane path (the purple one), they have this outer field, right? (this is probably what you meant by the wide corridor?) what i always thought was that you would have to line up the airport (in this case one of your stands already counts as singular functional airport), inside the outer field of the airplane path, but i guess that's wrong, my last question is; If i had multiple runways, how could i make sure they are functional? or at least appear functional?
vasimr22  [auteur] 23 jul 2020 om 9:44
@Rake (had to split the response into 2 posts) If the question is airport roads, you can draw as many as you want up until the segment limit of 65K as I recall. For multiple plane stands, that probably won't work, since the AI chooses the stands that result in the shortest pathing distance, so if multiple stands are next to each other, only the closest will be used.
vasimr22  [auteur] 23 jul 2020 om 9:44
@Rake You can place an airport in the corner of the map, but you should make sure that no airplane paths (the game object, not the airport roads) are near the airport (otherwise planes will teleport around). I am not sure if you are asking about airport roads or airplane paths. For paths, you should probably keep those to as few as possible, since planes don't follow them exactly - they basically follow the path as a wide corridor, then approach the runway at the point of closest approach. With that said, you will also be better off aligning the airplane paths in such a way that planes have enough room to descend to the runway, as well as are able to transition to the runway smoothly (no sharp turns).
Rake 23 jul 2020 om 5:23
Hi, i have a couple question; Is it possible to make an airport in the corner of the map? And how many Airplane Paths can i draw? Can they be right next to each other so they all line up with the terminals i want connected?

How is possible to know which plane stand is for which plane ?
- Airbus (A220, A300/310/319, A320/321...)
- Boeing (B727, B737, B747, B767, B777, B787...)
- Bombardier (CS300, Q300, Q400, CRJ900 ERJ170/175/195...)
- Douglass (DC8, DC10...)
- Ilyushin (IL62M)
- McDonnal Douglass (MD11F, MD80, MD83)
- Tupolev (TU144)

If there is some advices in your description (of your both plane stand), is going to be helpful.
Sorry for this dummy question too and thank you in advance for your reply.

@mjm92150 Great! I'm glad they still work. Thanks for testing them!

Ok, thank you. I saw when I played. Sorry to as stupid question.
Both are working very nicely with SH.
Thank you so much for those !

@mjm92150 There is no real difference between one for an A380 vs an A350. The only difference between this one and the other on my workshop is the length. It would look odd if a 737 stopped 30 meters from the terminal for example while an A350 stopped 2 meters away from it.

FYI : IS WORKING WITH SUNSET HARBOR - TESTED 12 APRIL 2020

Hello,
Is it possible for making for A380 ?

guys there is a cargo
pane stand on the workshop just search
hockadicadie 27 feb 2019 om 18:24
I put the pedestrian path right next to the gate and it does not work, any ideas?
MATT2772852 25 okt 2018 om 2:25
Can we get a cargo version of this please?
Helter Skelter 15 okt 2017 om 7:51
I unsuscribed from anarchy building and it fixed it!
vasimr22  [auteur] 14 okt 2017 om 15:13
I'm not sure what is going on there, but you can use the place anywhere mod to fix it temporarily.
Helter Skelter 14 okt 2017 om 2:02
ok I found the problem. It says "Shoreline required" and it makes me place it only on a shoreline! It's so weird cause the A320 is fine...any ideas?
vasimr22  [auteur] 11 okt 2017 om 15:36
I have never had that problem, so I have no idea what is going on. Try placing it near a road or a taxiway.
Helter Skelter 11 okt 2017 om 14:56
I can't even place it....even with the anarchy on. it's constantly red
vasimr22  [auteur] 11 okt 2017 om 13:38
Try rotating it using the Move-It tool. It is probably locked to a taxiway.
Helter Skelter 10 okt 2017 om 10:38
I can't rotate it with the right click or place it anymore, but I still can place the A320 stand. I didn't change anything or installed any new mods, so weird....
Helter Skelter 6 okt 2017 om 4:55
Thanks a lot!I'll play around with this stand. I have a road in front of the gate so I should be fine.
vasimr22  [auteur] 5 okt 2017 om 19:06
Thanks!
It does not need a roadside, but does require a taxiway connection. Additionally, it requires some way for passengers to get to the planestand (i.e. a road, or a pedestrian path). That may seem to contradict not needing a roadside, however, it can be placed much further away from and at an odd angle to a road than what would normally be allowed.
I also have an A320 stand on my workshop, but I won't release more since the only difference between the two is the length of the stand. The A320 one allows for an A320 to park and another A320 to drive behind it without the wing hitting the tail. Samething for this one, but with an A350.

As far as I know, there is no way to have only certain planes spawn at a planestand - I have been thinking about making a mod to allow this functionality, but it would be a lot of work / may not be possible.
Helter Skelter 5 okt 2017 om 10:52
Vasimir I love all your mods! I'm thinking of using this plane stand and since I have a lot of gates, before placing it I have a few questions for you, since you seem the most expert here in terms of airports.
You are saying it doesn't need to placed roadside, so it means that wherever I place it, as long as the end it's connected to taxiway it will work? Cause I see a road turning green at some point when I try to place it.
Are you planning to release more stands? Is there a way to have only certain planes stop and at certain stands? It would great to limit the smaller gates to small planes but I don't think is possible.
