I no longer have the original files to hose a direct download, but you can get one using a third party site like steamworkshop download.

@Fierro
Are you using other mods that alter religions? There's probably a conflict somewhere.
Fierro 7. apr. 2023 kl. 9.15
Default religions icons do not show. Only custom ones
Tomatekh  [skaper] 9. feb. 2023 kl. 14.09
@thecreeperkiller23
The mod includes Norse religion.
thecreeperkiller23 8. feb. 2023 kl. 8.19
No Norse Mythlogy?
Chrissant 9. apr. 2022 kl. 6.02
Does this mod function with VP?
shaggyhairj 29. jan. 2022 kl. 12.08

@Tory
Fantastic! I'm glad it all worked out and congrats on releasing the mod!
Tory 20. juli 2021 kl. 11.32

Thanks!

@Tory
It's no problem, use them however you like!
Tory 24. feb. 2021 kl. 19.26
@Tomatekh Would you be ok with these icons being used in a mod for Rimworld? I would obviously credit you for them and Janboruta for Mithraism and Ryoga for Voodoo.
Tomatekh  [skaper] 17. aug. 2020 kl. 8.51
@Kribe
Checking the files it's still in the mod. I might have renamed it at one point (likely when I made the Civ VI version of the mod) and forgot to update the description.
Kribe™ 16. aug. 2020 kl. 7.18
You mention Mushrikun in the description yet its not in the game?
Tomatekh  [skaper] 21. mai 2020 kl. 9.10
@Arone59
In Civ V, Tengriism was included in the base game so there was no need for the mod to also add it.
BlueArone 21. mai 2020 kl. 9.06
add tengri
Tomatekh  [skaper] 17. mai 2020 kl. 14.43
@kardiomed
The mod is focused on historical and indigenous religions. It was a design choice to not add new and late modern religions. While I did end up including one or two of them, for the most part, I left it up to another modder to make a religion pack focused on these religions.
kardiomed 17. mai 2020 kl. 4.48
And Where is Cheondoism, Tenrikyo, Caodaism and Ayyavazhi?
Mojave Neon 23. apr. 2020 kl. 17.49
Strange, when I looked at it, Itang, Malagan, and Tangata Manu were all missing. As far as your stand-alone Oceanic religion pack, it doesn't show up on your Steam workshop, and when I click the link on the complete page that's supposed to link to the individual packs, the link for the Oceanic ones, and only that link, says the page is gone.
Tomatekh  [skaper] 23. apr. 2020 kl. 16.43
@ruhrgebietheld
If a download is no longer working, it's unintentional and probably just a problem with the hosting site. I'll look into and and re-upload it when I get a chance.

However, every religion in the individual packs is included in the "Complete" version download. I did a quick check and all 5 of the "Oceanic" religions are in the the HR Complete with none missing.
Mojave Neon 22. apr. 2020 kl. 22.39
Are there any plans to bring back the Oceanic religions pack? That one seems to be gone, and even in the historical religions complete pack, several of those that were in the Oceanic pack are missing are missing.

Thank you for this mod. It gives rep for alot of religious traditions that are normally ignored. I do have a suggestion though. Voodoo should be written as Vodou or Vodun. Practitioners of the religion in Haiti and in West African use the later two terms while the former came into popularity as a result of non-practitioners mispronouncing the original terms. It also in alot of places is used to refer to Black magic which Vodun/Vodou the actual religions look down upon.
90s Edgelord 9. juni 2019 kl. 16.17
thank you
Tomatekh  [skaper] 9. juni 2019 kl. 15.32
@Ranger Ash
It's not part of the intended scope of this mod, but I believe it's already included in Ryoga's Strange Religions mod if you want to add it to your game:

Tomatekh  [skaper] 6. aug. 2018 kl. 19.57
Hi, I no longer actively update my Civ V mods except to address crashes and bugs. However, I will look into adding the religion into my Civ VI version of the mod.
KgQuetoi 6. aug. 2018 kl. 14.38
Can you please add Cao Dai relegion
Magos ti-85 24. juli 2018 kl. 19.07
@ Tomatekh

Oh, I see. Sorry for the confusion. I was unaware of the use of Forn Siðr in historical manuscripts, and of its difference from Seiðr. Thank you for the education!
Tomatekh  [skaper] 24. juli 2018 kl. 10.35
@PVGaming

Forn Siðr simply translates to "Old Custom" and is one of the few terms that actually appears in historical texts when referring to older Norse religion after the area was converted to Christianity. I find it a much more accurate choice than Asatru which is a word invented only in modern times to reference the reconstructed neo-Norse faith. Asatru is also limiting in scope as the term excludes areas outside of traditional Aesir worship. “Norse paganism” of course works as descriptor but is an unwieldy term for how religions are referred to and implemented in game.

I believe you’re also somewhat confused with your terminology. Seiðr was Norse sorcery; however, Seiðr is a different word than Siðr which means customs/traditions.
Magos ti-85 23. juli 2018 kl. 20.05
I would change the name of Forn Siðr to Asatru or Norse Paganism. It's just more accurate (Forn Siðr is a type of 'magic', though its not the pop-culture fantasy majic or Wiccan magic, it's wierd).
Tomatekh  [skaper] 9. juli 2018 kl. 10.44
It’s not a misunderstanding. As I state in the description, the countries listed in parenthesis are only the countries programmed to choose the religion in-game (most of which were programmed by Firaxis and not the mod). The list has nothing to do with where a religion orientated, or in any way is meant to imply the origin of these religions. The preferences were simply chosen by Firaxis based on what the historical era/leader represented by how the civilization is in-game followed at the time.
Weary4ever 9. juli 2018 kl. 1.05
I think it's religion's transmission lead to this misunderstanding,just as Buddhism doesn't originate from Siam(Thailand),it's really hard to distinguish these religions' origin exactly,maybe all civilizations could expedite these religions but they only got the name differs.
Tomatekh  [skaper] 8. juli 2018 kl. 19.48
Korea is programmed to choose Confucianism and China is programmed to choose Taoism. These are set by the base game and the mod does not change this. The parenthesis only indicate programmed preference, not historical origin.
Weary4ever 8. juli 2018 kl. 19.01
Confucianism is in Korea not China?
Aegir 31. des. 2017 kl. 6.30
Thanks
Tomatekh  [skaper] 31. des. 2017 kl. 6.09
Tengriism is already part of the base game
Tomatekh  [skaper] 29. des. 2017 kl. 11.53
Uhm, it's been a while since I made them so I'm not completely sure, but I believe I found the symbol in either Finnish cave art or on a Sami shaman drum and then stylized it to match the style used by religions in the game. As with most indigenous religions, Sami religion has no official symbol or name, so I used my own interpretation from research to create something that I believed represented it and fit the style of the game.
Drea 29. des. 2017 kl. 6.31
Thank you, that's turning up a lot more results using JSTOR. If I can ask another question, where did you find the symbol for it, is it a design of yours, or did it come from your research?
Tomatekh  [skaper] 23. des. 2017 kl. 5.14
Most of the civilopedia entries I wrote with articles I found on JSTOR, which is an online academic article database you can access through most universities (with a little bit of info also taken from more general sites like Wiki). I don’t remember if I got the name “Noaidevuohta” from one of those articles or if it was suggested to me by someone. Usually, I start with searches like “Sami religion”, etc.
Drea 23. des. 2017 kl. 1.11
How did you get info on Noaidevuohta? My rudimentary search right now only found it im one small article and talked about in one book about the Sami, which apparently is only located in 5 libraries across the world.
Tomatekh  [skaper] 16. juli 2017 kl. 9.05
Mormonism is included in the Historical Religions Complete version of this mod and/or the Christian Denominations add-on for this mod (both linked in the description above).
CaptainReklaw 16. juli 2017 kl. 8.52
you should add Mormonism, it's larger than Judism today, although less than 2 centries old
Red Dirt Gamer 11. apr. 2017 kl. 12.58
Can you add Atheism symbol to the list? I mean it isn't a religion, but it would be nice to have some benefits such as science, city happiness, and agriculture.
Niarbyl 21. mars 2017 kl. 12.52
Thanks Tomatekh
Tomatekh  [skaper] 21. mars 2017 kl. 12.51
Yes, the two mods should have no problems working together.
Niarbyl 21. mars 2017 kl. 12.49
Is this compatible with the Strange Religions mod?
DrakenX999 11. nov. 2016 kl. 18.11
The mod uses Forn Sidr as the name for viking religion:
"- Forn Siðr; Germanic-Norse Religion (Denmark)"
Ben'wah 11. nov. 2016 kl. 16.13
I see Mjolnir as a symbol on there, but I don't see Asatru, what I asume its supposed to represent, also the Valknut would be a better symbol for it as thats what most use for it, just a suggestion.
Azazel Dracul 1. okt. 2016 kl. 16.10
is it possible to add wicca or Pagen to this mod?
