First art pass!

General Changes:

-This update has been a toon of work so thanks so much for reading the patch :) I've put together a string of upgrades to both the A bombsite and B bombsite, with a focus on cleaning up the angles and opening up new gameplay opportunities.

A Bombsite:

-Removed LSD looking artwork
-Added stage for a performance
-Redid bombsite cover
-detail pass
-Focus on A main's gameplay gave me an idea for a new route instead of the old blocky design, a twisty underground corridor.
-Removed A Vent
-Simplified back of bombsite A
-cleaned up store angles

Middle:
-Detail pass

T Spawn:
-Detail pass

CT Spawn:
-Detail pass

Bombsite B:
-Removed Vent
-Added skilljump course to elevator
-Cleaned up underpass with a redo of geometry
-Reworked window into a grenade area without sightlines
-Redid the bombsite B upper building into something less detailed
-Detail pass

Construction:
-Detail pass
-Tweaked cover slightly
-Lighting pass

General - First art pass!

A Bombsite - Many small changes.
-Blue theme more apparent and consistent around the bombsite and its connectors.
-Added my first easter eggs!

B bombsite - Many changes. Redid the "Vents" area. Now, there's a watery scary area. Call it something!
-Orange theme introduced, in contrast to the A bombsite's Blue theme.
-Vents expanded and retouched, angles revisited.
-Station geometry redone.
-Went back to my original idea with the bridge supports going down and connecting to the B bombsite - really showing how this underground area is structurally linked up to the rest of the map. Lamarrite did the work on the first version of this area, and at this point only a few rooms remain that still contain his work. Be sure to give his maps a visit, including cs_renovation! His twitter is worth a follow too ;)
-Added Miner's second major B site idea - besides the big orange box back of site. - a path connecting both sides of the pockets on B bombsite. This path, in his idea, was a jump, or dangerous to take. And, his vision has become reality. Miner's ideas have been really really useful around my whole map. Be sure to check his projects out too! Thanks so so much Miner!
-removed the Trashcan to Subway angle that killed so so many retaking CT's.
-patched a crazy sightline (thanks merf!)

Middle - Reworked for better CT control, including worse T timings into mid.

- new and improved mid box readded into middle.
- new and improved construction area with wider and more forgiving angles- mixed with new and more interesting CT holding locations in construction.
-art pass through middle :)

Park (upper B) - redid with a green color scheme.

- Improved the Default box at the top of B stairs.
- Added a new headshot angle into construction - with easy backpedalling opportunities into Elevator.
- Art pass and detailing of the upper B bombsite entrance
- introduced a curve to the half wall dividing B site from Park.

A Main - not much change, just a new boost box and new timings which make the water area much more interesting :) and make it play as originally intended. Watch out for the CT's powerful sightline into T spawn from the fence.

-Added bluebox, a boost looking above any potential smokes to cross into the bombsite, and shielding the Store entrance from A bombsite's eyes.

CT Spawn - a bit of detailing. Removed the powerful door pocket position- streamlining things pretty effectively.


That's not all, there are honestly too many changes to say in one patch notes update. So, so many changes. Check out the new 3D skybox!

General:

Major updates to the T approach to A Bombsite, A Bombsite, and to Middle.

Minor updates to CT spawn, Construction, B Bombsite, and Underpass.

T Approach To A Bombsite:

- Removed Long A.
- Added more murk to the water at Secret
- Added a safe Ladder approach to Secret
- Removed the Back A save spot behind Shop/Store.
- Took Merf's advice (thank you merf) and redirected the stairs to face towards the new Secret entrance at Crack.
- Also, shout out to Miner from EagleOne discord. You're a G and your advice has been extremely helpful to Dumbo, thank you so so much. Credit to the new A bombsite goes to him- the design is my own but he had the great idea of moving the bombsite plant zone away from the center of the courtyard, and including more off-site cover there in the form of a sculpture. Miner is an incredibly intelligent mapmaker make sure you tell him so, or tell him he's stupid so he keeps coming back to give me more advice. Seriously, thank you!
- Clipped the ceiling in Store/Shop (Thanks MapInk & EagleOne, and everyone else who abused this)
- Added some parkour

A Bombsite:

- Moved the Plant Zone for the first time.
- Removed old Pipe art cover, added new abstract sculpture cover.
- Completely redesigned the bombsite around the new pathing and large cover changes.
- Reoriented the AC unit backsite, turning it to face the action and provide real cover from both Middle and the A mains.
- Improved backsite A pathing flow.

Middle:

- Removed Big Box from Middle. CT's said they wanted more cover in the last update's playtest, but the reality? The T's needed them to have LESS cover. The doors should be ample to watch mid from, CT's, don't forget you have Ivy (Construction's exit) to play with too.
- Gave Underpass's Subway Entrance a metal backplate to stop more guns from wallbanging and to limit damage from all guns. Improved the lineup from Murder Hole into Squeaky- now the A connector and the Murder hole have direct-wallbang LOS.
- Improved clipping on A Building.

CT Spawn:

- Added a new CT entrance to A, this door faces directly at Shop.
- Closed the main CT entrance to A, adding extra cover to prevent wallbangs from certain lineups. This helps CT's get onto sight, blocking the longest sightlines into Middle through Squeaky.
- Closed off CT Garage completely.

Construction:

- Grew the new Ebox at construction to provide more cover. Subject to future change. Minor clipping changes to fix an error I forgot about for five months.

B Bombsite:

- Added a new backsite path, Vents.
- Lifted Backsite into Heaven.
- Added a new B site box backsite, thanks Miner again.
- Made the B bombsite silent drop through Elevator easier, thanks Miner.
- Added Rebar to the bombsite for some much needed height variation to headshot level on bombsite.
- Made it obvious that s**icide is not an option.

Underpass:

- Opened a dead-end hallway I had originally drawn into the level back in May last year (2024)
- Opened a new path to Vents
- Clipping fixes.

Finalized version 2.0

General:

Aesthetic overhaul for a cleaner, more modern look in most areas.

New pathing towards A

Tweaks to CT spawn and T spawn

Significantly altered timings

Bombsite A:

New path leading to A bombsite "tunnels" connects A main and T's mid entrance, significantly reducing rotation timings, and opening up a much needed risk/reward for pushing CT's. (Push for a headshot angle into mid, giving up A main control for the duration of your slow walk through the water)

Bombsite B:

Minimal changes, but CT Garage has been closed off from CT spawn.

Middle:

New path from A main "tunnels" connects into T's mid main. This path creates a new exit from middle, leading to more A hit rounds at a risk, and easier A site retakes (with a much more accessible A main, given mid control is CT's when the bomb is planted, lends an extra 5 seconds)

CT Spawn:

New detailing, reversed the cover structure, added an extra ad pillar, removed deep CT spawn, and the connection to CT garage. Altered CT timings away from B and towards A, in general.

T Spawn:

New detailing, removed the planters, opened up the spawn's massive sightlines again, removed much of the excess cover, and closed off the majority of the playable space to become larger park areas which are inaccessible. Increased T timings towards A and Mid.

That's all! Have fun walking around and checking it all out yourselves.
