In update 1.4 for Planetary Stations, two new types of uninhabitable worlds have been added, old versions of which once existed in New Frontiers. These are Scorched World, a prototype of Mercury, and Sulfur World, a prototype of Io (Jupiter's satellite), on which a station can be built.
A difficult but necessary decision was to discard Helium-3 as a strategic resource. This was done in this update to make the mod more friendly to other mods. Also, the new resource was not fully integrated into the economy, this would have made the mod too cumbersome and difficult to update. And without full integration Helium-3 made no sense. Nevertheless, for the wagering role Helium-3 will remain in the game as a planetary feature that will allow for much more energy extraction than usual.

Changes:
- Added new type of uninhabitable worlds - Scorched World with a unique look and portrait.
- Added new type of uninhabitable worlds - Sulfur World with unique appearance and portrait.
- Added features for the scorched world opening up energy extraction.
- The strategic resource Helium-3 has been completely removed from the game.
- Fixed some serious bugs. Including those related to the use of the station by the AI player.
