Quick update to address some concerns received via the Discord server:

FEATURES:

  • The 'Clearer View' situation should disappear once it has completed now.
  • Reduced the strategic resource cost of all Muonic Hydrogen and Hypernuclear ship components by 33%->50%
  • Fixed some text strings.

Major update/changes to ascension perks in this patch. This is to update/modernise some perks to newer design philosophies, new game metas and new game mechanics. In particular, I have reduced the number of ascension perks that directly nerf other countries. This is not a very fun game mechanic when you are on the receiving end, so I am seeking to slowly rework those ascension perks.

Some of the new changes may break things, or be totally overpowered. Please provide your feedback to our Discord server. Thanks!

FEATURES:

  • Indomitable Ideology: Nerfed war exhaustion penalty from 150%->75%. But added The Word of Liberty, which grants you a -10% ship build cost and +50% ship build speed bonus for ~10 years when waging a war with the Impose Ideology war goal.
  • Common Goals: Capped job production bonus at +30%
  • Lands of Freedom: Capped migration pull bonus at +150%
  • The Political Game: Upped trade value bonus 4%->5%, envoys assigned to the Galactic community now provide +5% monthly unity instead of the flat unity bonus, also fixed some contradictory text.
  • Celebration of Diversity: Each unique (as in, not gene modded etc.) species that has happiness on the target planet gives entertainers +1 trade value, and culture workers +0.4% job production. Caps at 5 unique species, or +5 trade value per entertainer and +2% job production per culture worker.
  • Imposition: reworked significantly. Now provides from diplo weight. Removed the 'vision' edicts. Now gain +15% diplo weight and +10% worker output when on the galactic council, doubled when you are the custodian or emperor. malicious espionage now no longer nerfs an opponent, but provides you with a small cache of resources for completing an espionage operation depending on difficulty and type.
  • Imperium: Instead of bonus subject acceptance, now grants +1 monthly loyalty. The Empire is reworked, now each loyal subject gains +10% job output multiplied by specialisation level. Protectorates get +10 stability. Added The Iron Hand, which grants you -5% ship build cost, +10% naval capacity and +25% army build speed for each loyal subject (protectorates not included).
  • Citizen Supremacy: Reworked. Now passively grants +10% citizen happiness, +5% job production. If the slave to total population ratio on a planet is >0.2, gain an additional 5% happiness and 5% job production. Double this bonus if the ratio is >0.4.
  • Militarised Economy: Soliders now consume minerals instead of producing them, but make +1 alloy.
  • Heroism: Reduced leader xp gain, but buffed the leader traits which can level up multiple times (this is from a patch from a while ago).
  • Volunteer Fleet: Retired for now. It will be reworked. Sorry!
  • Peace in Body: Removed Meditation (Leaders no longer gain free levels). Instead, get Collective Peace, which grants +0.5 influence and +5% happiness for each non-aggression pact with a neighbour when not at war (stacks up to 5 times). Also gain Celebration of Peace, when a planets happiness is above 80%, gain +20% pop growth and +10% job production.
  • Explorer's of the Frontier: Fixed bugs, actually does what it says.
  • Masters of the Material: Reworked. No longer grants free megastructure tech. Instead get Adaptive Designs, when a ship disengages from combat, it gains stacking bonus to hull, shield and armour. Also gain Iterative Refinement, researcher physics and engineering output increased when building/upgrading a megastructure.
  • Conveyors of Tradition: Time-Honored Wisdom bonus councillor exp reduced 100%->50%. Now gain Guiding Elders, each ruler provides +1 stability, +2 governing ethics attraction and -1% pop upkeep on that planet.
  • Masters of the Immaterial: Gain additional leader lifespan and exp instead of specialist output. Influential Manipulation no longer nerfs another empire, but rather grants you +0.5 influence, +10% diplo weight and +5% ship fire rate. Added Pre-cognition, when you go to war with a country you are influential over, gain +20% ship weapon range and damage.
  • Pacifist Diplomacy: fixed bugs

FEATURES:

  • Fixed non-english localisations. For languages other than English, English text will show up rather than the loc strings (like 01_embassy_propose). However, translations are currently not implemented.

FEATURES:

  • Changed background code or the privatisation decision from the Free Market AP. The weightings for random developments are different, for example, setting a colony designation makes receiving the relevant deposit much more likely than before (as in, a research world will get research deposits more often). Also fixed some cases where you get useless deposits, like Lithoids receiving a farming deposit.

  • Updated to Stellaris version 3.8.2
  • Updated Explorers of of the Frontier to work on minor artifact income as opposed to total number artifacts.
  • Updated Heroism to work better with the the new Leaders and Council system.

FEATURES:

  • Added extra kinetic, energy and missile type weapons to the Combat Ascension rework. You still need to turn on Experimental Features to access the ascension perk. They are all hastily balanced (and probably imbalanced), so feedback is appreciated.

FEATURES:

  • Now ready to go with Stellaris 3.7.x
  • I have begun introducing the Combat Ascension rework. The AP is now called "War Doctrine Ascension" and can be tested by enabling the Experimental Features option at the beginning of the game. Only Supercapital warfare is currently implemented, the others are still WIP.
