BUGS:

  • Hopefully fixed the 80% loading crash issue on the Linux OS.
  • Explorers of the Frontier AP now describes what it actually does in the description.
  • Ascension of the Flesh now works for Lithoids and should provide the pop assembly bonus.
  • General error log cleaning, hopefully to avoid any other crash issues.

Features::
I am currently working on a major rework of the Abyssal Secrets crisis in light of my learnings from the Prime Flesh MODJAM2022 entry, which you can find here: https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2909515514

  • Integrated The Prime Flesh with Solar Storm and added options to customise the difficulty of the crisis in the starting settings window.

Bugs:
  • Frigates should now get muonic thrusters.
  • Hyperonic armour has been updated.
  • Overlords and subjects should now no longer be influenced by Masters of the Immaterial.

Features:

  • As suggested by @Minnow, added an option in the initial game menu to disable the extra-ship weapons part of this modpack.
  • Added an extra tech for both Muonic Hydrogen and Hypernuclear matter that grant extra ship components and reworked how the resource conversion buildings for those resources work. They are basically a third tier of the Alloy and Energy buildings now.
  • Added extra Heroism traits.

Bugs:
  • Spiritualist Establishment now grants you the correct amount of trade value.
  • People will eventually forgive you for your unforgivable universe-ending shenanigans (as suggested by @Mystic Ranin).

Features:

  • Replace much of the middle part of the Abyssal Secrets crisis with a situation; this is robust code-wise and also gives the player a smoother experience with more feedback of what is going on.
  • Smoothed out some other sequential event sequences with the crisis and updated localisation.
  • Added special diplomatic localisation in the event you choose to side with the crisis.
  • Updated some sound/UI for the crisis.

Bugs/Balance:
  • The spiritualist only Establishment AP should now grant unity properly.
  • As suggested by GltichFling108, nerfed the diplomatic power from tech granted by the materialist Partners in Progress AP.
  • Some balancing for the Weapon Ascension AP.

Features/Balance:

  • Weapon Ascension is back! The special weapon systems it provides are reworked, standardised and more carefully balanced. This AP is now also merged with the Naval Capability ascension perk, you now get the extra corvette, destroyer and cruiser ship sections with this ascension perk.
  • As a result, the Naval Capability APs are now retired, the Escort and Attack Destroyer ship hulls (that are very bugged as or right now) as no longer accessible.

Bugs:
  • A variety of minor bug fixes. More serious bug fixes coming with the soon to be 3.5 Fornax compatibility patch.

With this update the compatibility patches for ESC NEXT and ESC V3 should no longer be necessary.

Features/Balance

  • The Weapon Ascension AP has been disabled. This ascension perk is hold-over from early versions of the mod and fills only a very small purpose in the game, in testing, basically nobody picked it, I will find other uses for the assets used in that ascension perk.
  • Remove the 'See Solar Storm Resource Stockpile' edict.
  • Nerfed Volunteer Fleet AP: the AP now grants you an edict which when activated, acheives the same purpose. It grants you ships slower and applies a stronger debuff to the free ships. Additionally, they are no longer upkeep-free, only having a -25% upkeep reduction.
  • Removed extra special traits available through the genetic mastery APs.

Bugs:
  • The Vision AP Edicts no longer cost exorbitant amounts of unity.
  • Updated localisation for the latest version of Stellaris; event name tags should work now.
  • Removed ability for The Children of the Abyss to make Abyssal Black Holes, was causing too many issues.
  • Mastermind admirals that become leaders now grant reduction to empire size from colonies and starbases as opposed to increasing admin cap.
  • Applied EXTRA fixes to Ancestral Genetics (good lord that AP is so much trouble...)
