Slimebound now has unlock as the base game characters do! This likely will not affect you if you've already installed the mod and thus have a save registered, since everything is already going to be unlocked.

For new saves though, 9 cards and 6 relics are locked behind the progression system. I chose cards that refer to other cards, or subthemes that only have a couple of cards that talk about them (such as the Study Boss mechanic), to put into the progression system, to make the first time experience more streamlined.

KNOWN ISSUE - When you unlock cards, the art will be missing. This is an issue with the BaseMod dependency and not something I can resolve myself, but the card art is fine in an actual run, so it's not a major issue.
