Extreme Factions

  • Added new extreme faction: Gladiators.
  • Battle Thralls are often attracted to this faction.
  • Added new extreme faction: Indentured.
  • Caste pops on food tiles and domestic slaves are often attracted to this faction.
  • Tweaked support multiplier of extreme factions so that one pop contributes less support than in a vanilla faction.
  • Greatly reduced the attraction of extreme factions that are being prosecuted.

New Buildings
  • Added new building: Arena Complex.
  • Can only be built on a Xenophobe/Fan. Xenophobe planet with Battle Thralls in the Gladiators faction.
  • Requires a Battle Thrall pop on the building for it to be active.
  • Stalkers not included. Don't touch that dial. Now that hit the spot.
  • Added new building: Mountain Quarry.
  • Preserves mountain blockers in adjacent tiles.
  • Upgrades the adjacency bonus from mountain tiles from +1 minerals to +1.5 minerals.
  • The building provides a minerals adjacency bonus.

Changes
  • Geothermal Station is now a planet unique.
  • Refactored the deposit generation on habitable barrens and habitable asteroids. Minerals are now far more common than energy.

- Added new Ascension Perk: Mech Lords.
- Requires Medium Mechs tech. Cannot be taken by Pacifists/Fan. Pacifists.
- Gives Heavy and Assault Mech techs and unlocks an additional Assault Mech Bay.
- Increases the limit on number of mechs a planet can build.
- Unlocks Mark II mechs that are a little more superior to the Mark Is.
- Makes the More Mechs planet edict cheaper.

- Some bug fixes and a modicum of wow.
- Used the word modicum in a change log.
- Lots of file tidying/optimisation. Yes, this might well break an existing save. Start a new game.

- Added new extreme pacifist faction: Disenfranchised.
- Slaves can and often will join this faction.
- Pops on tiles with no building will often join this faction.

- Turned blurb for one of the traditionalist's demands into a bloody novel.
- A ****ton of new building destruction triggers for when requirements aren't met. Exploits must die.

- Deprecated Intensive Hydroponics techs and buildings.
- Constructing a Hydroponics Farm on a tile with water will now add a bonus 1 food deposit to the tile.
- This will be in addition to any other resources the tile has.
- The first bio-ascension perk is now an alternative requirement for the Biomedical line of techs.
- Added a catch for when barren worlds become habitable that already have a gravity modifier.
- Finessed State Interference demand, to actually require some spiritualists to give a crap.
- If you can't meet the demand, get rid of the spiritualists. Job done.
- Attempt #2 at fixing extreme factions API so the country flags are in scope.

- A few bug fixes. Some wow.
- Ex-faction members of a banned faction may now protest or riot.
- The pop penalty for banning a faction is more severe.
- Added a new Ascension Perk: All These Worlds Are Ours.
- Provides habitability bonuses for hostile worlds.
- Gives needed techs to find and inhabitat most hostile worlds.
- Increases the rate at which potential habitable hostile worlds will be identified for a follow-up survey.
- Allows development by pioneers (except Gas Giants) regardless of whether the policy is set.

- Added a couple of new education policy options, linked to Ascension Perks.
- Expanded the demands made by Preservationists.
- Fixed extreme factions API so the country flags are in scope.

- Personal Income and Tax policy deprecated.
- Replaced with a separate Income Tax policy and Business Tax policy.
- All faction demands linked to these policies revised.
- Empire Police policy now boosts Authoritarian attraction, not Egalitarian attraction.
- Base habitabilities for hostile worlds reduced again.
- Habitability boosting buildings are woking fine. There was no bug.

API for extreme factions added:
When an extreme faction forms, the country has a country flag set, cf_alphamod_factions_[FactionID].
When an extreme faction is destroyed, the country flag is removed.

Valid FactionIDs are:
aristocrats
elitists
labourers_union
militant_extremists
preservationists
spiritual_order

- Re-introduced the ability to ban factions.
- All faction bans are now indefinite and can only be lifted with an empire edict.
- Lifting a ban costs Influence, to counter exploitation of banning and immediately lifting a ban.
- Merged in vanilla changes to factions (yes, there were a few).
- Nerfed and buffed a few vanilla demands.
- Tweaked some of the demands added by AlphaMod to be slightly more dynamic.
- You still can't ban a faction with a guiding ethic that your empire has.
- Re-worked the exploitation mechanic to be more exclusive.

- Re-introduced size increases to species modification window to allow more traits to fit.
- Started updating some localisation.
