Hi !
By printing this I feel others who won't have the patience to toy around with mechanics will be able to experience more out of the game versus launching it and exiting 10 minutes later cause they keep using up all their starting € money and dunno what to do next or how to earn it back to enjoy the gameplay.

If you have suggestions or corrections by all means feel free to drop a comment!

Basic Info
F11 - Press and hold to hide the UI.

Storage modules provide the number of slots corresponding to their size, with 50 items cap per slot.

Engine power depends on the ship level only, at one level their speed provided is the same.
Achievements
This guide will help with the 18 of the more time consuming achievements.

(Pirate, Caranum, Morgrax, Harv) Researcher.
4 achievements to research each faction.

Level (2,3,4,5) Tycoon.
4 achievements to Research World levels (2 through 5).

Level (1,2,3,4,5) Ship Designer.
Level (1,2,3,4,5) Commander.
- 10 achievements to build 1 & then 10 ship(s) of each level 1 through 5.
- You just have to Create build them in the Factory. No need to click Build as the wording in the achievement suggests which would produce them into existence.
So you only need to to harvest the crystals in your starting base to create Engine Cores.

There are floating question marks with circles around them scattered through the world.
These are the missions.

Solo Fighter: Win a singleplayer PVE mission.
Quick and easy to do right where your game starts. I suggest creating a world and using the Factory to make a 2nd Small Battlecruiser as the plans are already there. Then get the achievement and delete the world. The mission is just navigating your ships through a field to destroy explosives with a timer going. But afterwards only one ship came out of the mission.

Team Fighter: Win a cooperative PVE mission.

You will need a friend for this, or a 2nd copy of the game if doing it solo.
And 3, Level 1 ships.

Left click the ? to Create a game, (or if someone else created, click their game, and Join).
Then click Leave to back out of this screen.
Select 1 of your ships, Right click the question mark then pick 'add ship to mission'.
Do this 2 more times with the remaining 2 ships.
The creator of the team can then Left click the ? again to pick Start.

* I found taking my building/storage ship to the location and creating a Level 1 Factory with spare Cores to replenish the Factory was a faster way to get those 3 level 1 ships at the location.

* In recent months when creating new maps it seems like this building generates closwer to the starting area than it did a year+ ago so there's also that. Make a new map until one is right there :)

On 7/28/18 Developer LInsoDeTeh said to use the Rosinante Mission which is part of the Human trade station.

On 9/2/2019, 7:47 AM
LInsoDeTeh:
basically you could just copy one of the existing multiplayer missions, change the ID and put the $MissionContext->SetMissionSuccessful($winTexts) command into the OnMissionStarted() event or something

Here's the full documentation, even though I don't know exactly what happened to the stylesheets

View on mini map.

Opponent: Win a PVP battle.
You need to find the Human PVP arena for this one. At time of writing (3/13/19) the Pirate Aspect arena just crashes my game. But the human one works just fine.

View on mini map.

The last 3 I feel are a given, meaning, you will get just playing the game with little effort.

Customizer: Change your player color.
(On the main menu options.)

Jumper: Use a Jump Portal.
(With a ship selected you can create a Jump Portal off the B (build) menu. Will need power.)

Crafter: Produce an item in the foundry.

Mining towers & Transmitters from Automation Lab

You start with a few mining towers as pictured above.

These give you ore that you can refine in the Factory. You can see what they are by clicking on them or if you are strange like me digging everything away to see what is 1 block below the tower. Careful you don't accidentally click the mineral block cause you cannot replace it.

Originally posted by LInsoDeTeh:
The colour of the transmitter connection refers to the item type currently transferred through this line (dependent on the source building).

There are:
White: none/disconnected
Yellow: Energy (stream)
Green: Energy Spheres (individual items)
Gold: Gold Nuggets (individual items)
- sorry this colour is still a bit too similar to yellow for energy - we're working on it.
Light Silver: Aluminium Nuggets (individual items)
Dark Silver: Iron Nuggets (individual items)
Black: Coal Nuggets (individual items)
Copper: Copper Nuggets (individual items)
Orange: Lava Nuggets (individual items)

You can manually click each mining tower to pickup 2 ore (slow as molasses) or setup Transmitters (created in the Automation Lab) to accumulate the resources into Storage.
*Dev said larger Storage is available as you level your world.

You can use the Small Battlecruiser you start with, or create your own ship.

Then target the ship with left click.

Press B to enter Build mode.

On the right side you will have 3 columns with a number 1 2 3 across the bottom right corner.

If you have multiple items in each column pressing the same number over will cycle through all the options.

The very first option on the 3 column is your Automation Lab where you can build Transmitters for 250 €. You will need one at the mining tower, and one at the Storage (which is the last option on the 3 build column).

Once you place a Transmitter beside a mining tower it will automatically sync/connect to it. The same for placing one by Storage.

Tip:
You can hold Alt key to hold the screen still if you find that one is off screen when you try to connect. Just pan so that they are both in view and then hold Alt key on your keyboard.

Left click the Transmitter and click the Pencil icon under Outgoing as seen below.

Then click the mini transmitter icon to connect the two.

Now you can accumulate many full stacks of 50 ore each until Storage is full. The developer mentioned that as your world level increases larger Storage units become available, so there is some food for thought.

Foundry makes the €ash flow

Now that you have a supply of gold ore you need to stick it into your Foundry.

Each gold ore = 250 €.
It will hold 50 ore. But the money caps at 9750 so it will only convert 39 ore into € and then you will need to remove the € for it to continue with the remaining ore. But you can build several Foundry to handle multiple productions at once :D:

Pro Tip from Developer LInsoDeTeh:
You can end your transmitter at a Foundry instead of Storage to auto convert. Just bear in mind there is a cap of 9750 gold. But there is now a quick withdraw button to [Take All Money].

Powering Research Lab
To build a research lab, click on your ship and press B to open the Build menu. The Research Lab is under the 3 column and is the 8th option. Looks like a radar dish.

Somewhere on the map you should have these.

You can remove and re-use them with the B (build) menu.

To power your Research Lab you will need to use a Transmitter next to one of these Powerblock and connect it to another Transmitter next to each Research Lab.

Example
In this screenshot I am also using a Relay Station (giant yellow orb with the grey frame) to power 3 Transmitters. 3 is the max it can power.

Pro Tip from Developer LInsoDeTeh:
You can chain Relay Stations, So once you splitted an energy line into three, you can put another three relay stations at their ends and then have 9 connections, and so on.

€, Cost to Reproduce Materials in the Research Lab

In the Research Lab is the option, Reproduce Materials.

All the materials you put in here are for researching one of the four factions and thus leveling your world. They can all be found in the world. Some are plentiful, others are not. Such as the orange Caranum Metal, I found 5 blocks in the world not far from my base. Which means using the Reproduce Materials will come in handy with multiple Research Labs.

Lava 20 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 1000 €

Caranum Glass 150 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 7500 €

Caranum Metal 180 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 9000 €

Magma Rock 40 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 2000 €

Morgrax Stone 120 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 6000 €

Morgrax Slime 80 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 4000 €

Harv's Metal 200 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 10,000 €

Harv's Electronics 40 €
1 stack (50 blocks) 2000 €

Trade for resources
This comes straight from LInsoDeTeh mouth :D

A big feature of the game (especially to get more rare material like the orange metal you mentioned), is trading:
a) when you find an extra terrestrial station, right-click their docking bay with one of your cargo ships to sell or purchase goods. Caranum stations for example sell yellow and orange metal blocks.
b) You can build your own docking bay close to a jump portal. Neutral merchants (Caranum, Morgrax, Human and Grey) will appear on a regular base and trade with you, if you have demand and/or supply defined in your docking bay. Higher level docking bays allow to define more demand/supply slots. Just ask for the orange metal, some merchants will give it to you for sure. And buy stuff you have too much of, so you get some money back.

Here's a wiki page about the game's races, loot and trade goods.
It explains where you get all the resources from:

Advance World
Once you have the materials and € you can click on Advance World to drag/drop the blocks and click the € to enter the required amount.

Each one takes 30 minutes to research.

Increase to Level 2 World
5000 € per faction = 200,000 total
250 300 of each resource.

Increase to Level 3 World
15,000 € per faction = 60,000 total
750 1000 of each resource.

Increase to Level 4 World
35,000 € per faction = 140,000 total
1500 2000 of each resource.

Increase to Level 5 World
85,000 € per faction = 340,000 total
2,500 5,000 of each resource.

175,000 € per faction = 700,000 total
5,000 10,000 of each resource.

Hello Dahl,
this is a really excellent guide! Will help a lot of people to quick start to the game.
There are three aspects though, which I'd propose to add:

1. You can also terminate transmitter connections at a foundry, it does not need to be a storage. That way a mining tower which digs gold, can send its gold nuggets directly to the foundry via transmitter, without the storage step inbetween.

2. You can chain relay stations, So once you splitted an energy line into three, you can put another three relay stations at their ends and then have 9 connections, and so on.
