Progression Guide For New Players

---- JUST BRINGING THIS GUIDE OVER FROM REDDIT FOR OTHERS TO SEE ----

--- Note: This guide was made for the mobile version of the game and an older one at that, but I have gone through testing everything and all that before even porting this guide over here so I know it works for steam as well. ---

I found a lot of the information I wanted shortly after it would have been useful. So here's my distilled process for getting from D1 to D10 efficiently and without "missing" anything (well, there's nothing miss-able really, but unduly delaying)

Guide
[1] In the first dimension, your goals are to get to the H. Fizz soda, at least 4 Stools, 3 Tables, the Armory, Beds, and the Wizard. It'll probably be easy enough to max out Stools and Tables here, but you don't need to. The only VIP upgrades worth considering at this point are Inherit (to the first or second stage) and the first stage of P. Warp -- not because you'll be wanting to jump straight to level 100, but because it starts out the Armory with the best gear it can get for each subsequent dimension.

[2] You can probably beat this boss without a healer, but it doesn't hurt to have one.

[3] In the second and third dimensions, focus on finishing your Tavern upgrades other than Banker. The Banker isn't bad, but it sounds more helpful than it really is... you don't get interest in dungeon auto-runs, so in practice the opportunities you'll be claiming it are limited.

[4] Also, get the Magic Well upgrade from VIP. You won't be getting a ton of Essence from it yet, but unlike gold, you do keep Essence between dimensions.

[5] Don't bother trying to grind these dimensions beyond those upgrades.

[6] You should pick the Crit chance, Att, and the HP relics as your first three relics respectively. You could take the Gold relic instead of the HP one, but you won't really be able to get too much out of it yet and the HP relic will really help with the long run ahead.

[7] Try to get each of the main Relics and the Soda Junkie cap above 10. Any Essence beyond
that should go towards maxing out the Crit relic ASAP.

[8] On to D4. The first thing -- literally the first thing, before you do anything else in this dimension -- is going to be recruiting a full party of Dinner Boys, the Soda Junkie variant that often appears at food-filled tables in the tavern. Equip them with the best shield and the +HP item from the Armory (the Bib and Fork are better than anything you can buy there for armor and weapon), and run from level 1 until you have the cash and gear to get all of the basic Soda + Ragezerker classes unlocked. (You may well beat the boss of this stage doing this, but you're staying here for a while.)

[8a] Note: To get Dinner Boys, have at minimum a level 7 tavern kitchen and turn off auto equip in your options menu. Dinner boys will start appearing at food-filled tables in the tavern after a refresh with the bed. Once you start buying soda's for other classes they seem to stop showing up as well.

[9] And now we grind. My recommended class layout is Ragezerker, Healer, Thief, Dark Mage, Knight. This covers your basic needs (Knight for safe runs and Thief for treasure) and gives you a bit of safety against poor luck later in the run with your Healer and Dark Mage to handle problems. The Dark Mage and Knight will only automatically use their AoE attacks if there are three or more enemies remaining, and as long as your Healer and Thief are hitting properly this won't happen... but just in case it does, the Dark Mage AoE's control effect can bring your run back on course by buying some safety for a round.

[9a] Note: To effectively use the *Ragezerker, Healer, Thief, Dark Mage, Knight* or any build with Ragezerker, you will want to start your dungeon runs off at level 1 instead of your highest dungeon floor you can go to, to effectively get the most use out of Ragez skills.

[9b] The layout Ragezerker, Conscript, Conscript, Thief, Knight is more efficient damage-wise -- you can boost the Conscript's attack pretty well and they have a 20% damage boost from their passive -- but I ended up with aborted runs when I dropped the Healer and DM.

[10] You'll be using Demon armor and the Assassin Dagger until you get a sufficiently leveled Demonlord Armor and Dragon Sword to stay at 100% crit rate. Shield and items are less important -- gold multiplication or damage multiplication are all that matter. Out of my safety focus, I tended to use Hero's Blood or Dragon Shields on my Ragezerker and Healer (since either one getting put to sleep is a fast way to lose your run) and everything else was a mix of +gold shields, Vann's Magnets and Dragonbloods.

[11] Get the Stables and the +Gold pet ASAP.

[12] Your real goal here is to get your two main Relics (HP and Att) to level 100 or higher, cap out crit chance relic at 25, and buy out every VIP upgrade except Allsight and M.Clock, as well as banking around 8K Essence. Get your Soda Junkie Relic to about 40-50, as well... the others really aren't relevant right now. You can, optionally, also go for the other pets, Allsight and M.Clock -- it'll add almost ten hours to the run, though.

[13] (It's a lot of grinding.)

[14] But it's all downhill from there!

[15] The boss for D5 requires Healers to damage it with their Heal spell (/undead trope). A bit of basic gear grinding will make it a lot easier, but with all the HP and you've got from your relic you don't really need it. Since you can start the dimension with only ten levels to clear before fighting her, a party of four Healers and a Knight is all you really need.

[16] All but one of the remaining bosses can be defeated by a party of five Dinner Boys in basic
gear -- the one requires a party of Fighters. D7, IIRC.

[17] Any extra gold you have after each run should be dumped in the Essence Well.

[18] Use your banked Essence to get each primary relic to at least level 30 as you get it. (Straight cap out the Crit Damage relic at 50.) Class Relics can mostly be ignored, but the first 15 levels have a pretty negligible cost.

And that's it! Once you get to the Warrior Dimension (D11), the bosses lose their special mechanics and you can grind to your heart's content to unlock Allsight and M.Clock if you haven't already... and it's much faster, thanks to all the additional relics.

The dinner boy fork is still king when starting a new dimension and it's stupid easy to get.; It's well worth the under 30 seconds to get 5 of them.
Assume I have 400 Ping 23 Jan @ 4:46pm
Side note for 2025 players - ignore all Dinner Boy advice. It used to spawn with a fork with 100% crit and 600% crit dmg but it got nerfed into a normal rare weapon with poor stats compared to most weapons you'll have by Dimension 2/3.

From reddit:
EDIT 2: The fork has been nerfed in recent updates. It is not a weapon that will carry your team any longer. It is nice to have for collection purposes, but that's about it.

Great guide, want to add for everyone still grinding that I got to D11 with 60 levels on attack and hp, thats 40 levels less to grind out before getting 8k essence (which should be fairly quick)

Nice guide. Still works here in October 2021. I did some variations since I found the guide after I had already reached Dimension 6, but it's still feasible to use Dinner Boys up to fighting the level 800 boss. You could probably try to beat the boss with mostly Dinner Boys (maybe add 1 healer) as well but I decided to go with Healer-Thief-Thief-Thief-Knight and finish up the boss since I didn't know how tough the fight would be. I did that with just the bib and fork as weapons since I was trying to get through asap. In other words, very minimal farming for gear, just used bibs and forks to get from 700-790 with Dinner Boys and then HTTTK with bibs and forks for the boss.

Im not that into this game yet, but this guide is helping alot.
I read comments how awesome the ragezerker comp works and that they get to level 900, but my healer runs out of mana and after that its a slippery slope.

I thought the held item "Magic Bottle" would do the trick, but doesnt seem to be the case.
Also, do i give my mage physical att or do i boost spells? Because i think my mage is just hitting with a sword and not spells.... But could be wrong xD

Battle Mage (healer with a sword)-Dark Mage-Dark Mage-Thief-Battle Mage is the best combination.
