The recent 1.6 update has already fixed the issue you mentioned.
That said, have you considered making the opposite kind of mod?
When giving a deconstruct order on areas where walls and power conduits overlap, the conduits often get deconstructed along with the walls.
If we could deconstruct the walls *without* affecting the conduits, that would be incredibly convenient.
