This mod works with ''Gods and Kings'', or ''Brave New World'', or both.

At this point this mod includes real religions, fictional religions, joke religions, philosophies and even secret societies. So far there are 40 of them, and the only things that they have in common is that they are ''unusual'' and that they entail a set of ''beliefs'' that can be used to proselityze.

There are a lot of other religions you can choose from SamBC's religions collection. Before asking ''where is Discordianism?!'' etcetera, check if it doesn't already exists

NOTE: The AI won't choose any of the new ''religions'' listed here, it will choose the default ones as per vanilla. If you wish for the AI to choose these new ''religions'', you might want to check out my "Favorite Religion Randomizer" mod.


HOW TO REMOVE UNWANTED RELIGIONS:

There is a relatively simple and clean way to do that. All that you need is to find the directory where this mod is stored in your computer and open with a simple text editor (Notepad is a good choice) the file named ''strangereligions.xml''.
For Windows 7 users it's in:
Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Strange Religions (v 8)
Scroll down to the end of the file and follow the instructions there.
