First and foremost, this guide is giving a lot of informations but it's not exhaustive.

There are some foods that I got only a few copies off so I had to make choices. I'm still farming, trying to find all the items and as much as I can to make the guide complete. That means there may be some rewards that you got, if you tried on your own, that aren't shown.

I'm still trying to get different results from the kids but I'm open to additional infos!

**Update** After getting many answers (thanks to all of you who contributed), it would seem you can get any of the reward listed by giving any food. In other words, you may end with any clothes set from those available if you give any food to a Yellow Majin. The same rule applies for Red and Blue Majins.

The only downside is I lack the tremendous amount of data it would require for me to give you a percentage of chances to get a specific item. So it may take a few attempts or a while to get a specific reward but remember, if you got friends playing and doing this you can always trade/send items via the post/delivery service in-game!

For those of you who already know the basics and just want the infos on the results, use Crl + F and type the name of the food or the reward then keep pressing enter or use the up and down arrows and you'll be taken diretly to what you're looking for.

I didn't want to make a huge diagram that would confuse everybody so the guide will be divided by colors, that way you'll only see and get search results for the same food 3 times. There will be 3 sections, following the colors, showing what the rewards are and look like (for the clothes).

At some point in the story you'll be asked to visit Large rifts around the city. By using the Time miniatures/transfer shop clerk you will reach Majin Buu's house. Next, you touch the miniature and you'll be teleported to his house.

Once you get there you will have some explanations about how this zone works and once you enter the house you'll see Majin buu.

By talking with him you'll be able to give him food to fill a candy colored bar. Once the bar is filled Majin Buu will make a kid. The bar fills faster with food that Buu is more likely to like. You can see that information, in the text box to the right, as you browse the different foods you have before giving it to him. A rule of thumb is Buu likes more 3 stars than 1 star food. You can find a section dedicated to the food system, further in the guide.

Don't worry the game stops you whenever the amount of food will fill the bar so you don't give more than needed.


The numbers of kid depends on your race:

- If your race is anything but Majin, you can have a maximum of 6 kids.

- If your race is Majin, you can have a maximum of 10 kids.

The kids come in 3 different colors: Red, Yellow and Blue.

The type of rewards you get from giving a specific food depends on the color of the kid:

Red - Super Soul

Yellow - Clothes

Blue - Capsules


How the kids change color

After giving food to a kid 5 times, he can change color. Note that I said can, not will.
As the dialogue goes on you will see 2 options whenever the kid is ready to change:

Guard and Calm Down

Guard will have the kid change color.

Calm down will have him keep his color.

This way you can manage what kind of items you will receive and you can have all the kids of the same color at the same time if you manage the changes properly. Note that there is an achievement for making a kid change color.

The changes follow a simple pattern: Red > Blue > Yellow > Red >... and so on.
Note that some players reported a different pattern, so I suppose it may vary, but mine was always the order shown above.

The food items that you give to Buu and the majin kids are found as pick-up items all over the map. Some of those items can be bought at the Items shop or can be obtained by talking to specific NPCs located in Conton city.

1 star is the worst and 3 stars is the best. Here, "best" means the most effective to fill the bar and generate kids. No matter where you find them, each food with the same rating as the same potential for filling Buu's bar. Here is what you can see in the description if you look at food of each ratings:

Here is a table showing you what you can find in each district and the star rating of each item. Once you picked all the items in a district just do a few Time Patrols or PQs and go for another run at picking stuff up. You won't always get the same items since there are 3 possibilities per district.

And last but not least, there is Mekuji, the farmer, next to Guru's house who will trade you food and a few clothes sets for capsules. You need to give him the capsule first then visit him after doing a few Time patrols or PQs. Here is his location, left side in the first picture:
