Lore Translations! (English)
By PeculiarTendencies
This guide shows how the characters from the English language are translated to the characters used in the Necropolis. If you notice, at the end of every level there is a lore mural on the top floor of the transitionary room. Every time the player walks up to these murals, the Brazen Head will say something along the lines of "Here is lore, if you have the skill to study such". The lore on the wall is NEVER translated in these rooms, but now they can be! Below I have created an almost final version of a table for translating characters between English and the language of the Necropolis. These translations could bring out essential lore, or could maybe assist the player.

Translation Table
NOTE: The characters and the letters which they align with may change with EVERY PLAYTHROUGH. This has not been tested yet.

Pre-Translated Lore
This section should include all lore which has been translated for the player.
Manually Translated Lore/Secrets
This is the first translation I have done. Some characters are different from basic notes to long paragraphs of lore. I have been transferring them all night. Here is the first bit, about a man named "Avrammon".

@FULLMEATALVAPIRE I am pretty sure, as mentioned in other comments, the key changes every so many playthroughs.

@1Lt. Gary [2RB] I'm sure the key has probably been updated. If not, then the key may be randomly generated on every so many playthroughs. I've abandoned this thread, just wanted to leave it out there for those who are interested in the lore.

Either they've changed it or your key is wrong, love. I've got something for every letter except Q starting from scratch, and T and S seem to be the same symbol.

Nice one - good job - i have also been interested in the glyphs / language of Necropolis scribings and how they appear in English, French, Gernan, Castellano and Russian.

Seems it is a straight transposition of glyph for letter, with a couple left out for "fill in the blanks".

Thanks for confirming this!

Never seen any mention of Heco before, but there is another name that appears unique on the plaque that is the picture of the wizard thing from He-man and the masters of the universe.

I hadn't looked at the guides until just now.
I'm looking for a guide to the creatures (and tactics to deal with them, some are easy, some are... less easy :P)

In particular - the guys with the red fists that tend to end my game around level 4-5 unless I use a potion or spell to defeat them.

I think they're called Shadowborn... They're dangerous.

Very cool, I'd love to see more research on this!
