Install sqlitebrowser[sqlitebrowser.org] or sqliteman.
Close SpaceChem.

Steps

Go to the SpaceChem data folder:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Zachtronics Industries\SpaceChem
Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Zachtronics Industries\SpaceChem
Linux/OSX: ~/.local/share/Zachtronics Industries/SpaceChem

Open the file .locals with the installed sqlite editor.
Navigate to the table user.
Find the desired profile row.
Change the field name.
