Reasoning behind the map choice
This map actually proved itself as quite lucrative considering the landmark is a gate that spawns additional mobs (as long as you don't close it) that you can kill for more gold, which translates into more souls at the end of the map.Since it's inferno mode, the natural mob quantity is also quite high by default.

So the Achievements you can work on are more or less:
- Earned Gold
- Killed enemies

Which holds true for every map actually, but hey it's still true and the amount of gold is quite insane on this one and the mob count more than good :P
Skill Tree Recommendations
There isn't much you really need to do it, but they will make your life easier by a lot.

Orc Cannon:
Stunner 5/5 , Stunner for Life 5/5 , + whatever you can get for the basic Orc Cannon, the more the easier

Crossbow Goblin:
Single Shot 5/5 , + whatever you can get for the Crossbow Goblin

Extra Fluff:
Golden Start 5/5 , Your Premium 5/5, MacHellman Hell of a Reward 4/4
The Tower setup
Since there isn't much to describe at all, or rather it would make things more complicated, I made some screenshots that should show your current progress by the waves and some sort of a build order. In case you have the MacHellman Hell of a Reward trait, you should put him down whenever you can to increase the amount of extra gold you obtain. Once you finished this builds setup, you can go afk and check back at the end for your awesome rewards or you keep using Lightning and MacHellman for even more gold / souls and for the Zeus achievement.

This is your start wave setup which you can afford if you have Golden Start 5/5. After that try to focus on upgrading as shown in the other screenshots. Normally you should be done with the whole setup between wave 12-15.

Try to build up the Spammer to level 3 as soon as possible

Next your focus should be on getting the Sniper in the back to level 3 for the extra range

Followed by the bottom Sniper that this one can pewpew the extra mobs from the gate too

Finish the last sniper tower and fill the spots with Orc Cannons and upgrade them to level 3 and you are basicly done with the build. The one on the bottom right, nearly never sees any action, so feel free to skip it if your skill tree is sorta maxed for the extra gold/souls.

I just love the Napalm Artillery, so I normally bring one with me whenever i build a tower setup. Another option is the an upgrade to the Orc Cannon on the bottom right to an Artillery and have it fire at the gate area in addition, but I prefer to keep the extra gold for the souls in the end.

And last but not least the rewards at the end of a run, with some Hellman use inbetween cause I had nothing else to do :P
Final Words
Well that's it folks. Hope you liked it and have fun reaching your goals.

Greetz,

You get something like 1 soul per 20 gold left over. So it's not really a lot, but it can add up over time.

When I started out, I even sold all my towers at the very end for perhaps 50 more souls and finished the map using spells, but that's really more trouble than its worth after you're set up for auto farming.

Does the amount of gold leftover at the end effect how much souls you get from having gold? I tried it with no gold at the end and lots of gold at the end, and it yielded the same amount of souls.

Fun fact: Eventually, the secret passage will just stay open and not spawn any further enemies on account of exhausting all possible medium-grade unit combos.

@be
feel free to setup a new guide.
This one is pretty much 9 months old, but no one else bothered in the meantime to really make one.
Made it back in the days when the game just got released on steam.
Probably not the best map there is, but it was nice and relaxing for me then :P

wastelands gives about 1600 to 1700 mobs and you can fully set up by round 8, out of 30. and leave it to farm.

I find the level before it gives around 2000 a run and is way easier.
