- For village and chasm, go to options and increase gamma to the maximum. It's hard to see where you're going otherwise. Even with full gamma it's hard but it's easier to distinguish what's a rock and what's just darkness.
- For ice cave, you don't actually have to go do the crystal thing at the beginning. Jump toward the checkpoint in front of the big floating ice blocking the view to the rock you're supposed to use to cross, sprint jump and try to target the rock anyway. You can target it despite it being in the ice. This shaves off a good minute off the run and makes this time attack completely trivial.
