[ABANDONED] Less Eurocentric (Ming) China

Descrição
NOTE: THIS MOD ONLY WORKS ON VERSION 1.11* AND IS NO LONGER UPDATED
Paradox made a DLC for China/Far East (Mandate of Heaven), which achieved much of the things I had intended to achieve with this mod, such as a rework of the tributary system and better Mandate of Heaven mechanics. As such, this mod will no longer be updated.

Author's Note:
Probably not as balanced as I want it to be (especially if you're not playing Ming). While I did add an event chain that triggers the Li Zicheng revolt as well as subsequent Manchu rebellion/conquest of China, AI Ming would probably have either blobed enough to repel Manchu, or have annexed them entirely through other means. In fact, they might have even blobbed to India or Asia minor by the time the event rolls around. Am currently looking into ways of either restricting the Ming AI (with not much luck, it seems you cant mod the AI?), or buffing Manchu up considerably when the event fires.

Tired of Ming China falling to rebellions within 10 years of game start? Irritated that 景泰帝 (Jingtai Emperor) is somehow a 1/1/2, despite repelling both the Oirats and repairing the Grand Canal? Frustrated at how "Temple Factions" is a thing? Then this mod is just for you.

Updates:
11/4/2015: 0.9.2 Released.
9/4/2015: 0.9.1 Released.
(See change notes for details)

Features
Ming:
  • Celestial Empire given new bonuses (-0.05 Global Autonomy, Heir Chance +25%, Admin Tech cost -10% )
  • Inward Perfection modified to actually reflect "Inward Perfection" (Most arbitrary disadvantages removed)
  • "Tributary System" modifier to further discourage Diplo-annexation (-4 diplomatic reputation, discourages AI annexation of tributary states)
  • Made Ming a cultural union for the "East Asian" Chinese culture group.
  • Oirat Horde -> Tumu Crisis added (Basically hard coded, if Wang Zhen stays in power)
  • Revamped Emperor stats according to their reigns.
  • Modifiers based on the Emperor's reign for Ming (E.g. Zhengtong Emperor's reign, Forbidden City [ as it was built by the game start] )
  • Eunuch in Power modifier + decisions to overthrow eunuch.
  • Diplomatic relations with various states added at gamestart.
  • Redone Court Factions, as well as editing the bonuses they provide.
  • Additional missions, modifiers, decisions as well as events. (Revive treasure fleet, Eunuch takes control, etc).
  • "Confucianist" renamed to "Shenist", now gives -1 global unrest instead of +2 tolerance to heathens.
  • Custom army names .
  • Ming now becomes an "Empire" instead of a "Feudal Monarchy" upon completing westernisation.

Oirat/Mongol Hordes:
  • Buffed Steppe Horde government. (Seems to have made hordes more of a threat, but they didnt seem to blob like crazy in my test games. Do report back with info)
  • Oirat Horde/Mongol Khanate given new "Nomadic Horde" modifier to make them both more of a threat to Ming China.

Manchuria:
  • Made Jianzhou and Haixi vassals under Ming.
  • Added event chain to promote the formation of Manchu and the rebelling against Ming rule.(Seven Grievances)

Ryukyu:
  • Added separate Ryukyuan culture.
  • Now starts out as a vassal under Ming.

Philippines:
  • Added several tribal nations, as well as the Kingdom of Tondo (ingame as Luzonguo, with custom ideas)
  • Sultanate of Sulu now exists at (and before) 1444.

Malacca:
  • Added Alliance with Ming at gamestart.

Japan:
  • Added "Unified Japan" modifier to make a unified Japan more menacing. (+10% tax, manpower, force limits, -10% stability cost, +20% morale)
  • Shogunate Era modifier (+4 Diplomatic Relations)
  • Shinto renamed to "Shinto-Buddhist" (+10% Land Morale, +2 Tolerance to Heretics)

Planned features:
  • Additional events, decisions, etc for Asian nations (Priorities on Ming, Qing(Manchu included), Korea, Japan and Philippines)
  • More Ming Relations/Qing Relations with Asian states.
  • Custom ideas for various nations
  • More balancing, especially for Ming-Manchu events.
  • (Better) custom flags for Luzonguo, as well as flags for Filipino tribal states.
  • Making Oirat Horde the threat that they were towards Ming, while preventing them from "blobbing" to Europe.
  • Stronger Vietnam, more able to resist Ming attempts at "reconquest".
  • Event chain for Japanese invasion of Korea.

shenism is not a thing. Early Ming dynasty was exactly the right time when Confucianism went lower than governmental level and replaced Taoism and Buddhism in grassroot

Definitely. If we look at Japan (before WW2), their cultural ideologies were still very strong, despite having "westernised". I definitely agree on that the same would've happened to China if they successfully westernised.
