Preparation
  • Enable “Single Player Auto End Turn” and "Single Player Quick Combat" and "Single Player Quick Movement" in the game options

Instructions
1. Start a SINGLE PLAYER

2. From the SCENARIOS list, choose: "The Samurai Invasion of Korea"

3. Select the Korean civilization — ruler Sejong

4. Set the difficulty to Deity (but you can choose any difficulty to unlock it)

5. Launch the scenario

6. Do almost* nothing for 100 turns — just keep ending turns automatically
  • Adopt Social Policies when prompted
  • Attack approaching enemy units with your cities (first ≈32 turns)
  • Delete suddenly spawned, player-controlled units (In ≈11 turns)
*In this screenshot, I’ve already chosen a different difficulty — Immortal.

After about 100 turns, the game will end in Defeat. Despite losing, the "Flawless Strategy" achievement for a Deity Victory will unlock. Additionally, you’ll also receive the scenario-specific achievements.
Why Does This Work?
This bug seems to occur because China is your ally in this scenario. After 100 turns, if China's cities haven’t been completely captured, the game mistakenly treats it as a victory — awarding both the scenario completion and the Deity achievement. Essentially, it’s a case of developer oversight.

sunny-n13,
Glad the guide helped you!
I tried so many times to beat the game on Deity, but always failed... No idea who these unfair difficulty levels were made for.

Just tested it — the exploit still works.
This time I chose Emperor difficulty: https://imgur.com/a/sfEmTB9

Havana, Thanks for the comment!
Did you wait the full 100 turns, or did you just click “Retire”?
When I tried retiring manually from the menu, it only counted as a regular defeat (though this scenario still gives some achievements even for that). But if you wait until turn 100 and lose naturally, the game strangely grants the Deity victory achievement.

Hm, I don't think this exploit works anymore. I just tried it and got the achievement for failing.
