General Achievements
"Clean Slate"
Flush every toilet in The Precinct.
You can do this as early as the prologue (before the bank robbery). Simply enter both bathrooms and flush the three women's toilets and the three men's toilets to unlock this achievement. What a good use of company time...

"On Top Form"
Achieve first place on the Shift scoreboard.
At the end of your shift, you'll "clock out" at your desk once your shift is over. You'll be ranked against every other squad working at that time and, if you rake in enough experience, you'll be first, unlocking this achievement. Some things to note:
  • Some shifts only have you on it, which means you are the only patrol pair earning experience. It seems to be rare, but it does happen (see photo below).
  • Not clocking out after your shift may incur a penalty for unsanctioned overtime, but the penalty is minimal.
  • You can continue to earn experience even after your shift is over and you can keep going as long as you'd like, making the effort needed to be number one by the end of your shift much easier to manage.
  • Earning about 5,000 experience or more should almost always guarantee you the top spot.

"Self Improvement"
Unlock a Player Upgrade.
Player upgrades come in the form of tokens that you earn for ranking up, which, in turn, is for doing positive policing: writing tickets, making arrests, collecting evidence, covering bodies in body bags, and other actions.

When you gain at least one rank, you'll earn yourself a token, which can be spent on four branches of upgrades, so make sure you use them! You can find them in the pause menu under "Upgrades".

"Taking Out the Trash"
Commandeer a Garbage Truck.
First, you'll need the upgrade that allows you to commandeer any vehicle while out on the street.

Garbage trucks spawn at random, making it a little tricky to locate them when you are looking for them.

I'd recommend unlocking the "Commandeer" ability early on, that way you can work on other achievements, or progress through the main story and grab one when you come across one out in the wild.

If the achievement doesn't unlock right away, wait for Sgt, Kelly to get it, as it appears to be tied to both of you entering the vehicle.

"Track Star"
Sprint for 30 seconds without stopping.
You'll need to unlock the "Timed Breath" ability to have the chance to regain stamina to earn this achievement, so you'll need to earn one token before trying for this.

Once you have it, just start sprinting in any direction and press [Y] when the yellow marker is over your stamina bar to gain a little bit back. Do this for at least 30 seconds to unlock this achievement.

"Employee of the Day"
Earn 10,000 XP in a single shift.
Earning 10,000 experience points is easier than it sounds. In fact, you can do it on any shift, regardless of the length of time. I highly recommend unlocking the "Commandeer" ability before trying for it, though.

This ability let's you use any vehicle (even civilian ones) as a temporary police vehicle. The reason this is a good idea is because, once your shift is over, you can't call in support for another cruiser if yours is out of commission.

Once you have it unlocked, write tickets, arrest and book criminals and I highly recommend working on the time trials and street races at the same time, as they give between 500-750 experience points for earning gold in them, which stacks up rather quickly.

Once you've reached over the 10,000 experience barrier (I'd recommend going for about 10,500 to account for any poor conduct deductions the game might give you), return to your desk to unlock this achievement.
General Achievements
"Career Limiting Move"
Park in the Chief's Space.
Behind the Averno City Police Department, in the gated parking lot, you'll find a vehicle parked in the designated "Chief's Parking". You can either unlock the "Commandeer" perk so you can break the window and move it from the spot, then park there yourself, or push it out of the way and park there.

Either way, you need to do it, then get out of the vehicle before the achievement will unlock.
Rank Achievements
"Making Your Mark"
Achieve the rank of Police Officer 1.
Rank is determined by how much experience you earn from providing quality service: arrests, tickets, booking criminals, collecting evidence and identifying the correct charges that should be placed on each suspect.

Concluding your shift at your desk will tally up all your accumulated experience and deduct any penalties for poor behavior or performance. Achieve rank one (after passing all your rookie training) to unlock this achievement.
Parking Ticket Achievements
"Ruined Their Day"
Issue 3 valid parking violation tickets.
Parking tickets and how to write them comes on your second day of on-the-job training with Sgt. Kelly.

You'll go through your beat with him and end up writing three tickets as part of the introduction process, unlocking this achievement.

The next level will come with writing a total of 50 parking tickets, which you can do at any point during your playthrough, so don't worry too much about hitting the mark; you'll do so probably without even trying for it.

"Fine Work"
Issue 10 valid parking violation tickets in one shift.
After you reach the part where you are assigned to street racing activity, you'll notice you can start picking your shifts and what you want to do (patrol, traffic, walking a beat..etc).

I recommend picking a longer shift for this and one with a vehicle so you can cover more ground as you work. You just need to find ten vehicles that are breaking any of the laws listed here (or you can check in game if need be).

Keep in mind that the tickets have to be legitimate, so don't go writing phony tickets just to fill your quota, otherwise you'll lose experience points and be dinged for bad conduct at the end of your shift.

Do note that you can do this prior to getting to the street racing portion of the main game, but it isn't geared towards it, so worth waiting until you have free reign over your patrol priorities and practices to do it.

"The Most Hated Person in Averno City"
Issue 50 valid parking violation tickets.
Fifty parking tickets isn't very many; you'll unlock this without really needing any sort of grind to reach that many tickets. Keep in mind that this only counts legitimate tickets, just as the previous two achievements did.

Writing bogus tickets to inflate your numbers isn't going to work, rookie.
Arrest Achievements
"What Are You in For?"
Have two suspects from different crimes in your police car at the same time.
Exactly as the achievement states.

You'll need two subjects from two different crimes in your car at any one time. When you arrest one, you can continue to patrol as long as you want before taking them in for booking.

If you have one suspect in your car already and interrupt a crime with two or more perpetrators, call for an escort unit to take all but one of them back; take at least one of them with you and you'll still unlock this achievement.

Two suspects from the same crime will not count towards this achievement.

"We're Gonna Need a Bigger Holding Cell"
Book 6 criminals in one shift.
Booking six criminals can go one of two ways; you can either keep accepting crimes during your shift and try to book as many as you can within your shift time frame, or you can go over your shift and continue booking criminals.

Booking criminals after you should have already clocked out still nets you experience and credit for the booking of the suspect (tested and confirmed). If you go over your time, less crimes will be radioed in via dispatch, if any at all, but you can still run plates to find wanted criminals and the occasional fight, gun fight or graffiti going on if you drive around enough.

Remember, you have to drive your arrestees back and physically book them. Sgt. Kelly booking them or you delegating it to an escort car or other officer will not count!/

"Nowhere to hide"
Use three different support options to catch a single suspect.
When you first start out, you won't be able to use at least three support options in a single pursuit.

Typically, vehicle pursuits don't last long enough to warrant needing three separate callouts, but you might get lucky.

I recommend, once it is available (through ranking up), to go on helicopter patrol, as you'll need your NPC backup to apprehend the target(s).

Usually the pursuits last a little longer and if you maintain your spotlight on the target vehicle consistently, your support builds up quick enough to get multiple callouts in a short amount of time.

"Radio Responder"
Respond to and complete 50 callouts during your shifts.
Dispatch reports callouts to you while you're on your shift. Accepting them is one thing, but you also need to see them through, so that means detaining and either ticketing or arresting the suspect(s) committing the crime(s).

You don't need to necessarily book them in jail for a callout to count; if you call someone to come pick them up, you'll still receive credit for the suspect.

"Book 'Em, Cordell"
Book 30 suspects.
Over the course of your entire playthrough, you only need to book 30 suspects at the precinct yourself. This means escorting them to your patrol car, to the station and then booking them yourself. You can see how many suspects you've booked in the pause menu under "Stats".
Gang Achievements
"Building a Case"
Submit 5 pieces of evidence against gangs.
Submitting evidence comes into play when you join up with Detectives Li and Kowalski on your fourth day (the first day after the prologue ends). You'll go through the tutorial on how to locate and book evidence.

Next, you just need to locate five pieces of evidence at any points in time and book them to unlock this achievement. You'll earn this fairly quickly through normal gameplay, so don't worry about focusing strictly on it.
Races, Jumps & Time Trial Achievements
In The The Precinct, there are a few things you'll need to collect to earn all the available achievements. Some are marked on your map by default (Vehicle jumps and street races), while some are not marked on the map and must be located through searching.

For street races and jumps, they are marked on your map as soon as you progress far enough to have them become available. They shown up as pink and blue respectively.

When they are completed, ramps will turn green to show you reached the minimum distance required to "complete" it, while street races will reflect the color medal you've achieved in said race.

The last marker on your map that is shown be default are the time trials, designated by a pink stopwatch. The stopwatch, much like the street race icons, will reflect the color medal you have for each one. They also will show you your rank if you hover over them.

For each category, the following achievements are tied to each one:

"Is It a Bird" & "No, It's the Law"
Complete 5 vehicle jumps & Complete every vehicle jump.

Before tackling most of the vehicle jumps from the various makeshift ramps set up around Averno City, I'd recommend unlocking the "Commandeer" perk so you use some of the faster, more reliable vehicles scattered around the city.

The normal squad car can complete some of the jumps, but only the "Police Buzzard GTX" is fast enough for some of the longer jumps, but you can't use it until you're rank 20, making civilian Buzzards much more easily accessible.

If you are ranked high enough for the police Buzzard, you can find it parked in the underground garage below the police department.

For each ramp, you need to reach a specific amount of distance to "complete" it. Each ramp has a different distance requirement, but none of them will tell you what that is until you try and, if you fail, it will show your distance and what the minimum distance is needed.

"Coming in Clutch" & "Finish in 1st place in all Street Races."
Finish in 1st place in a Street Race & Finish in 1st place in all Street Races.

"Ready for the Real Thing", "Pedal to the Metal" & "Fast Responder"
Complete a time trial, Get a gold medal in a time trial & Get a gold medal in every time trial.
╔Collectibles (With Map)
There are three types of collectibles that do not show up on the map. They are: rare vehicles, plaques and museum artifacts. There are a total of ten rare vehicles to obtain (done so by simply entering the vehicle once), 20 plaques to read and 20 lost museum artifacts to collect.

It should be noted that the artifact cases contain different artifacts depending on the order you collect them in. The first case will always be "St. Henry's Cellar Key", as that one is part of the main story. The last case you open will always be "Warhurst's Ring", regardless of the order you find them in.

The following map shows the location of each collectible (vehicles, plaques and artifacts)., as well as the four digit combination lock for each respective case. Click on the map to bring up a larger, easier to read photo.

╟Lost Artifact Achievements
"What's in the Box?"
Recover an artifact.
The first artifact will be found early on in the game as part of one of your routine patrols. The main game will lead you to a briefcase behind the ACB bank by some dumpsters. You'll need to find a clue before opening it. The clue is nearby and the answer is to the 4-digit code is: 4321.

Once you open the case, you'll unlock this achievement.

"A Sharp Mind"
Recover every artifact.
Once you've recovered 19 of 20 artifacts, the final one (regardless of what case you still need), will contain a gold ring with an inscription for the final case. Take the ring back to the precinct and speak to Kowalski.

You'll uncover the truth about the missing artifacts, solve the case and earn this achievement in the process.

Note: If you're having a tough time finding all the artifacts, consult the map under "Collectibles (With Map)" for a map of every collectible in the game.

╟Plaque Achievements
"Historian"
Read every Plaque.
There are a total of 20 plaques to read in and around Averno City. They are scattered in historical and well-known areas, as well as a few off-the-beat pathways.

The plaques are small, very small in fact. They can often be overlooked if you're not paying close attention. Every plaque is mounted at eye level and on the ground floor of the city. There is only one achievement for plaques and that is to read every single one.

Note: If you're having a tough time finding all the plaques, consult the map under "Collectibles (With Map)" for a map of every collectible in the game.
╚Rare Vehicle Achievements
"Hidden in the Hood"
Discover and drive all the rare vehicles.
Rare vehicles are scattered around Averno City, ten in all. They are typically re-skined versions opf vehicles you can already find, but that helps most of them stand out. They are always hidden and off main streets, typically under rubbish or makeshift awnings.

Rare vehicles are not locked and do not require you to break the window in order to access it and drive away. Enter each rare vehicle at least once to unlock this achievement. Sgt. Kelly does not need to enter the vehicle for each one to count towards the achievement.

Note: If you're having a tough time finding all the rare vehicles, consult the map under "Collectibles (With Map)" for a map of every collectible in the game.
Story Achievements
"Thrown in the Deep End"
Complete your first shift for ACPD.
Story driven; essentially this is tied to the prologue to teach you the basics on your first day. When you conclude your day at your desk, this achievement will unlock.

"Cleaning the Streets"
Take down the August Gang.
Story driven; the August Gang will be a top priority on your third day on the job. Completing this final tutorial mission will unlock this achievement.
