Hydroponic Hell [VCD 1.12]
Por Vic=HKC=
There is something true in the title: Hell. Hell before an update to put every crate in the same area. Hell because of these weird living creatures making annoying sounds. Hell because every plant you need to replace can take several seeds. Hell because the weird plants can't fit a disposal bin or the incinerator properly the bigger they are. Hell because it's easy to draw on the paper but not on the computer.

Introduction
As usual, the map isn't at the right scale.

Remind me why I decided to draw big maps?

Also, I wanna promote this guide made by Jepp about achievements - it helped me a lot!

This guide can help you too

HISTORY:
  • October 2018: Added screenshots + tips I forgot to add + altered map
Any specific achievement?
This map is needed (or can be used because of a specificity) for the following achievements:

  • Pine Fresh - Complete Hydroponic Hell Level
  • First Aid - Restock a total of 50 medkits over your cleaning career by punching out of levels with medkits
  • Head Hunter - Collect a head from each species in cleaned levels and take them to your office // Green alien's head
  • Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe - Find all the unique and hidden collectibles and return them to your office
  • Eggregious - Find all the hidden painted eggs and return them to your office
  • Bob's Legacy - Find Bob // Note from Bob behind some barrils
  • "Red Keycard" - Unlock Bob's super secret secret stash room // Given the fact that you need to find Bob to retrieve the keycard...

Pieces of Story
Tips
  • You can hear pods doing sounds, it's a way to check if any is left on the map.
  • Some of the pods are in the start area, on the pillars for the lift and under or behind some plants.
  • The biggest plot isn't really fitting for a disposal bin, I suggest you to carry them by hands (or to burn them).
  • I suggest you to use the Arc Welder (or also called the Laser Welder) for the alien's body parts.
  • The bad plants, apart for the little one, are usually hard to put in a disposal bin or in the incinerator. Use the Arc Welder to burn them.
  • Pods can also be burned with the Arc Welder if you don't want to carry them to the incinerator.
  • As M' was saying in a comment, it's better to use the incinerator door that is the farther of the entrance of the room (in other words, not the one in front of the janitor trunk). The other door, when opened, is nearly blocking the way to put the junk in the fire.
  • You have to put seeds in empty soils for plants to grow. Back then, it was sold one by one by the vendor but now, it's three at once. However, still, it's annoying to carry them like that, I used a disposal bin or an empty bucket to bring them where I needed them.
  • The J-Harm can be used for pods you can't reach or to bring crates on the stacking area on the second floor (which is mainly used in co-op but can perfectly work alone).

Thank you very kindly for the guide, super useful.

Now the number one tipp:
The Bucket is the best disposable tool for a number of reasons:
1) It let's you Mop up first while you can dump trash, bullets and incinerated bodies in them, since they do not pollute the water
2) It has about 30% the capacity of the bin if you incinerate bodies first and fullfills a second role
3) it takes 20-30% of all bullets in any map combined with the ability to stack them for transport they make up for their small size.
4) holding left mouse (someitimes it requires you to click once) will let you rotate slowly so you can plant seed without touching the seeds.
5) you can wash your mop completely 5 times and then it is best used for transporting the intestines or limbs
6) i started to use the mop by standing on it (good way to stop tipping over the bucket in early games and to reach higher up) however it is more efficient to place the buckets lower than yourself and use the overly long range to the mop, reaching from above

Actually this map is fairly easy if you take some preparation:
1) take a Plasmawelder with you from your office and start torching any plant and bigger bodies you can find (no heads, arms or intestines). Any other trash than cans is also good.
2). When you use the plasma welder: one 2 seconds burst to warm up and short klicks to the center of gravity of any object shall incinerate quickly. Getting close to overheattemperature (when 1 or 3 flames start going throught the whole room) is efficient if you remember to keep the breaks between klicks longer, overheating will produce more mess to clean.
3) Mop up immediatley what you just burned because it is very hard to see burn marks in the beds. Taking a bucket somewhere close to you is a good idea in any map.

after spending a freaking hour getting all the seeds needed to put in the empty soil boxes, i figured out a quicker way to bring them around instead of going back for 1 seed at the time. get a fresh water bucket, knock that sucker over and put a bunch of seeds in the empty bucket. now you can carry around a bucket of seeds instead of going back for 1 new seed every time. :vcdworker:

I burn these stuff too unless I'm tired of using the AW. And it's true that using the furnace door like you say is easier. I don't even bother with the other door :p.

some extra things to note:
1. You can melt bodies and other organic things with the weldergun. Do this with the large alien torsos that wont fit in the bins, the weeds, and the pus sacs.
2. it is possible to throw things VERY far in this game. it helps to have high sensitivity on your mouse. allow me to explain: just pick something up, look backwards to the place you want to throw it, and swing your mouse towards the place you want the thing. then, let go as your swinging it. the amazing physics engine will send it flying as fast as the sensitivity of how fast you moved it.
3. use the furnace door that is farthest from the entrance to the starting room. the front door of the furnace makes it very difficult to quickly deposite it. to chuck and suck. to flail then bail. to throw and blow. to toss and.... floss. hooray for dyslexic typing. :vcdsign:
