on god, usually gotta keep putting the suspect in and out of the car until kelly pulls them out eventually. this dudes retirement couldn't come sooner.

It's my headcanon that Kelly is on the take for the gangs in the city just because of how useless he is.

When I pull up to the precinct with 2 suspects in the back seat, RANDOM COPS ON THE STREET are faster at pulling the crooks out of the car than Kelly. The only time he reliably grabs suspects is when you get both of them out of the car yourself and wait AGES outside the precinct for him to grab one and start limping towards the precinct front door.

At this point, the extra 200 XP for personally booking crooks isn't worth it due to the sheer hassle. Just take the 200 XP penalty for any suspects who aren't near your vehicle after your shift and let the Escort Unit AI deal with it. The only reason to do more than 1 patrol vehicle of suspects a night is for the 6 bookings achievement.

Yep, I just completely ignore him now. He really is dead weight. If there are ever two or more criminals and you tackle one down to restrain him, he just stands there and stares at you as the other criminals run away.

Would be nice if they improved that. Like a way to target one criminal and do a call out to order Kelly to chase that person while you focus on the other one would be nice.

its more fun to drive just fast enough u can watch him running behind u to keep up, but he cant get in the car still

Kelly also imo just seems like a dead weight because he hasn't even helped to gather offenses, arrest, and even THINK to request for the arrested to get escorted to the ACPD.
