In Celeste you have to touch the ground or complete a room to definitively collect the strawberries.
So for clarification, in this guide sometimes I will say:

'Do [x] to grab the strawberry' and 'Do [x] to collect the strawberry'

Dream-block activation -not- necessary for this strawberry.

From the beginning of the level, head right into the next room until you see a glowing hole in the ground - jump down the hole and fall all the way to the bottom until you see a dream block going through the floor.

Look to the right and you will see a breakable wall - dash into the wall to reveal a path, then enter.

In the next room you will see floating spike platforms and green crystals.

Once inside:
- Dash and grab onto the left wall, jumping over the spikes and falling into the green crystal, then ‎ ‎ ‎ dash ‎up-right onto the spikeless side of the third floating platform.
- Jump into the green crystal and dash up-right to land safely on the other side.
- Enter into ‎the ‎next room.

The hidden path to strawberry 1 is in this room - look towards the bottom-right of the room and you will see a cracked wall.

- Jump onto the wooden platform above.
- Jump over the spikes then quickly dash up to climb to safety onto the wooden platform above.
- Jump and dash up-right to get over the spikes, quickly grabbing onto the right side of the ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎floating platform.
- Jump into the green crystal and dash onto the small floating platform.
- Ride the floating platform until it’s fallen onto the ground, then walk right into the cracked wall ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎to reveal the path to strawberry 1.

To exit and continue
Head out of the small strawberry room the way you came, then dash up to climb onto the wooden platform.

Dream-block activation necessary for this strawberry.

Progress through the level past strawberry 1 until you come across a mirror and activate the cutscene (walk up to the mirror to see the Badeline reflection, then walk away).

After the mirror cut-scene, the dream blocks will become usable - dash up through the dream block then head left into the next room.

In this room you will see a big vertical moving dream block and a smaller stationary horizontal dream block.

Dash up through the smaller horizontal dream block to reveal a secret nook where you will find strawberry 2.

Continue left, dashing through the dream-block until you’re back in the underground main room^

Dream block activation necessary for this strawberry.

In the underground main room^ to the left, there are three paths you can take: top, middle or bottom. Both the top and middle paths lead to strawberry 3 although for convenience take the top path.

To unlock strawberry 3 you have to collect the three yellow-green seeds inside the dream-blocks without landing on the blocks or the ground.

[Tip: dashing through dream blocks replenishes your dash]

There's no one way to collect all the seeds - but here's one way:

- Stand on the top-middle block
- Dash down to collect the first seed, then quickly dash left into the left-middle block to ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ collect the second seed.
- Grab and slide down the left wall to see a smaller dream block and another block with the last ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ seed.
- Dash right into the small dream block, then dash right again into the dream block with the last ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ seed to ‎unlock strawberry 3.

Take either exit [top or bottom] to the right of the strawberry 3 room to be taken back to the underground main room.^

Strawberry 4 takes the same path as strawberry 3, so skip outlined paragraph below if you're following from the previous strawberry.


Head to the bottom-left of the room - there is a secret path you have to dash into.

All the way left of the room is two stacks of barrels with a gap between them - dash down this gap and fall down to find strawberry 4.

Jump onto the platform with strawberry 4 to collect it.

From the strawberry 4 room, continue right to be taken back to the underground main room^.

Dream block activation necessary for the Cassette Tape.

At the bottom of the underground main room^ you will see a large dream-block going through the floor - dash down through this dream-block to find the cassette room.

In time with the beat, jump across the pink and blue platforms - timing your dashes through the dream-blocks to grab the cassette.

Head out the way you came - up through the top-left, then dashing up through the dream-block.

Strawberry 5 is at the top of the chapters underground main room, under a dream block over some spikes.

Dash down into the dream block to grab the strawberry then quickly dash back up before you touch the spikes to collect it.

From the top of the underground main room^, dash right through the dream-block above the strawberry and continue right to be taken to the strawberry 6 room.

Dash upwards to fall onto the traffic booster, then as you start moving, dash right to travel through the dream-block and grab the strawberry.

With the strawberry, climb to safety on top of the wooden platform above to collect it.

Head left to be taken back to the underground main-room^.

Walk over the crumbling block just after the strawberry, where you will fall back down to the area just after the cut-scene, then head left to be taken back to the underground main-room^.

Head to the beginning of the chapter where we first encounter a dream-block - except we can now access it.

From the bottom-right of the dream-block, dash up-left then up-right to access an area previously blocked off - then head right to find the room with strawberry 9.

Once inside:
- Jump, dashing right into the first dream-block, then dash right again into the next dream-block.
- Grab the wall and climb to grab the strawberry.
- Go back the way you came - dashing left back through the dream-block, then dashing up-left ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎through the next dream-block to land safely on the other side and collect the berry.

The path to the Crystal Heart starts at the campfire at the beginning of the level.

The path to the Crystal Heart requires you to take advantage of your dash replenishing as you move across screens.

From the campfire, dash diagonally between screens to head upwards, where you will see a wall you can grab onto and climb up.

Climb up the wall, making sure to use your dash as you won't have enough stamina to climb the whole way up.

Once you get to the next screen, you'll have to use the dash-replenishing technique again.

Dash left and fall to the screen below, then dash up-left back to the upper screen - repeating until you get far enough to dash up and climb to safety.

Climb up to the next screen and you will find the crystal heart - dash into the heart to collect it.

Continue to the next checkpoint to find the next set of strawberries.

In the second chase scene you will see strawberry 10 - dash up-right into the dream block and dash right onto the wall so you have an exit from Badeline.

[Not Missable]
Continue through the chase and you will see strawberry 11 - it's in the room after strawberry 10.

Dash up through the dream-block, then fall right and dash left through the same dream block to reveal a secret path.

You'll want to hang onto the wall just above the exit while Badeline follows you, then exit when she passes under you.

Continue through the chase until you enter a room with a spring-pad, and ice on the left wall.
(it's after the room where you have to collect 4 blue keys to progress.)

Jump on the spring-pad to land onto the wooden platform above, then jump up the left wall of the nook where strawberry 11 is - exiting to the right so the Badelines can't get you.

[Missable]
In the room after strawberry 12, you will see two floating dream-blocks and spikes going up the wall with a path heading upwards - we need to go up this path.

Dash up-right into the closest dream-block, then dash up to grab onto the wall above the long set of spikes.

Jump to the right wall and climb up to find strawberry 13.

To exit and continue
From the strawberry 13 room, jump down to the left and fall down a 1x1 crumbling block to be taken back to the beginning of the room.

Strawberry 14 is in the room after strawberry 12 and the same starting room as strawberry 13 - you will see two floating dream-blocks and spikes going up the wall.

The strawberry is under the floating ice-block, DO NOT GRAB the floating ice as it will fall on the strawberry making you unable to collect it.

- Dash through the two dream blocks to fall below the ice-block, then quickly dash right to grab the strawberry and to not fall into the spikes.
- Climb out of the spike pit and land to collect the berry.

In the room after strawberry 14 is the strawberry 15 room.

As you progress through the level you will see strawberry 15 as you fall down the ice block.

Continue through the level until you come across a square dream-block. Dash up-right through this dream-block then dash up into the nook where you will find the strawberry - dash up onto the left wall to allow yourself to exit without the Badelines getting you.

[Missable]
Once you've completed the chase sequence, head right until you enter a room with vertical dream-blocks and a spring-pad on the floor.

To find the strawberry 16 room, look up towards the green-brick roof and you will see a hole - jump up through the hole in the roof.

Once inside:
- Dash up through the bottom of the large dream-block.
- Fall left to grab the strawberry.
- Dash right-left-right through the large dream-block.
- Land back at the beginning and collect the berry.

[Missable]
The entrance to the strawberry 17 room is opposite to the strawberry 16 room.

Once you've completed the chase sequence, head right until you enter a room with vertical dream-blocks and a spring-pad on the floor.

Look under the fourth dream-block and you will see a secret entrance - climb atop the fourth dream-block (below the entrance to strawberry 16) and dash downwards to find the room with strawberry 17.

Tip: Spikes don't hurt you if you dash from below them.

Once inside the strawberry room:
- Dash up-right into the bottom-left of the dream-block
- Fall until you can dash up-right into the next dream-block and land safely on the other side.
- Collect the berry.

To exit and continue
Use the same technique to get back to the beginning of the room - except dashing up-left from the bottom-right of the dream-blocks.

[Missable]
Progress through the level until you find the second checkpoint and awaken from your dream.

Continue past the checkpoint until you enter a room with spring-pads on the floor - similar to the previous dream room, but now has spring-pads where the dream-block columns once were.

To find the strawberry room, look up towards the green-brick roof and you will see a hole - enter the hole in the roof (same hole that once led to strawberry 16.)

Once you've jumped through the hole in the roof:
- Head upwards past the spikes to enter the strawberry room.
- DON'T DASH
- Use the spring-pad to the left to jump across the crumbling platforms, using the floating ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎spring-pad to grab onto the wall and jump to more crumbling platforms.
- Jump as close to the strawberry as you can, then dash left into the berry to grab it, landing ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ safely to collect it.
