Introduction
For Kena: Bridge of Spirits, there isn't much to know before diving into it. The one thing to take note of is that you must start the game on the hardest difficulty, as there is an achievement for doing so.

Also, no collectible is missable; there are no achievements for unlocking charms and you only need to collect 50 of the 71 hats to earn the achievement. Lastly, I highly recommend unlocking all your skills over charms. There is a finite amount of karma (upgrade points) to find in game and if you fall short, there is a method to grinding out more karma, but it is slow and time consuming. For instructions on that, see the achievement "Skillful Spirit Guide".

Happy hunting!
General Achievements
"Found a Friend"
Find the first Rot.
This is a story achievement and will unlock during the prologue.

"Say Cheese"
Capture a picture in Photo Mode.
At any point during your playthrough, select "UP" on the d-pad to bring up several options; one option is for photo mode. Simply take a snapshot of anything to earn this achievement. Why not take a photo of the stunning view!

"Hunter in the Forest"
Learn the Bow Ability.
You'll learn the bow ability when you finally meet Rusu at his lookout high on the mountaintop. He'll teach you tricks and he'll have various tests you can take to earn Crystals, so make sure to do them all so you can afford cute outfits and hats!

"Harness Your Power"
Learn the Bomb Ability.
The bomb ability is learned as part of the main story; after visiting the Storehouse, you'll try to open one of the large, mechanized doors and fail.

You'll be contacted by another Spirit Guide and taught how to harness spirit energy into a bomb. You can use this offensively against enemies, or even on rocks to get them to float.

"Crossing Over"
Learn the Dash Ability.
The dash ability is a late-game skill you'll learn after defeating the Corrupted Woodsmith, returning to the village and trying to make your first trek up to the mountain shrine. Upon returning to the village, Zaju will teach Kena the ability so she can travel to the Spirit Realm.

"Master Spirit Guide"
Beat the game on Master difficulty.
Upon defeating the Corrupt Rot God, you'll be treated to this, probably, final achievement for your tireless efforts and skill in beating the game on the hardest difficulty. What a journey; well done!
General Achievements
"Skillful Spirit Guide"
Unlock all ability upgrades.
This achievement is a little strange. If you strictly spend your karma on upgrading your abilities, by the time you get to the end of the game, then you should have enough to upgrade everything.

Now, if you did what I did and spent too many karma points on unlocking charms (which aren't tied to an achievement), then you'll fall short by the time you complete the game. There is, however, one way to farm karma, albeit very slowly.

In the Fields, there is one rock that you can explode and it has a single enemy that comes out and, if you kill them before they explode, will award you a mere ten karma points. It's slow, but a way to farm infinite karma without having to jump into NG+ . You can find the rock/enemy here:

"The Lonely Path"
Reach the Mountain Shrine.
The Mountain Shrine becomes available at the very end of the game; once you defeat Corrupt Toshi, you'll gain access to it and the final boss of the game.
Discovery Achievements
"Haikyo"
Discover the Village.
You'll unlock this just after the prologue in the Ruins; you'll stumble upon it just after defeating the Sprout boss.

"Into the Woods"
Discover the Forest.
You'll unlock this after leaving the Village to help find Taro. When you locate his spirit, you'll unlock this achievement after the cutscene with Kena seeing what happened through his mask.

"The Open Range"
Discover the Farm.
You'll discover this area after making it through the Storehouse as part of the quest to help the Woodsmith. This portion of the game comes after finishing Taro's quest.
Combat Achievements
"Rot Commander"
Use 5 Rot Actions in a single combat.
You can unlock this as early as the prologue when fighting the first enemy spawner creature, or the first boss, Sprout. Just use the "Rot" ability five times without killing either and it'll unlock. It can also be unlock elsewhere in the playthrough when you have the opportunity.

"Between the Eyes"
Destroy a Shield Sticks without breaking its shield.
This achievement can be done as early as when you go search for Taro and receive your first mask. When you start leaving the village, you'll be targeted by some shield-wielding enemies.

Your light attack from the back should allow you to combo them without damaging the shield.

There shields can take a few light attack hits before breaking, but heavy attacks and your running lunge attack will easily break their wooden shields.

"Piercing Blow"
Hit 3 Enemies with a single Rot Infused Arrow.
Once you obtain your bow ability from Rusu at his outlook, you'll need to research the "Rot Arrow" ability. The goal here is to charge your "Rot Actions" once you research the ability and fire an arrow into an enemy that can then pierce through them and hit two more.

This can be done anywhere you have three enemies and it does not need to kill them; it simply needs to hit all three.

I managed it while visiting the ancient shrines just after freeing Rusu's house, but it can be done anywhere you have three enemies.

"Triple Threat"
Destroy 3 enemies with a single Parry.
You start the game with the ability to parry monster attacks, making this achievement possible as soon as the prologue.

I highly recommend doing this with some of the lower-end monsters you face. While technically not required, it makes whittling down their help a bit easier when they don't have ranged attacks and aren't going to have sweeping melee attacks.

First, you want to reduce each monster's health down to the minimum without killing any. Once done, lure all three in close and parry any monster's attack to deal outward damage, killing all three.

The range of the parry bubble lends to some degree of distance between you and enemies; they don't have to all be right on top of you.

"Bow Master"
Hit 3 enemies with a single Multi-shot.
The multi-shot upgrade allows you to fire one arrow that then splits and hits multiple enemies.

In order to have the arrow split, you'll need to find an enemy, then shoot the bound enemy to have the arrows split and hit different, nearby targets.

One thing to remember is that you don't have to kill any of the monsters; you just need to hit them.

A great place to do this is on the Mage boss fight or Relic Guardian in the Lantern Cave since they constantly have three or four of the smaller enemies spawning constantly. Just remember to bind one of the small enemies, then shoot the one you just cast bind on to get the arrow to split!

"Weigh Them Down"
Destroy a Moth enemy with a Bomb.
You'll learn the bomb ability shortly after embarking on helping the Woodsmith (after Taro's story).

You'll venture into the Storehouse and be taught how to focus your energy into one big explosive. Neat!

There are plenty of moths in the cave itself to get this achievement on, as well as through the Trials in the Village.

Simply throw a bomb onto a moth and let it explode. Easy!

"Quick Draw"
Hit 3 critical hit spots in 3 seconds.
This involves hitting the gold or bright red spots on various enemies. You can either do this on one enemy three times, or on three separate enemies as long as it is within the three second time limit.

The easiest place to do this is around The Fields when working on Adira's spirit missions. That's when you first encounter the suicide bomb enemies. There is a particular part where you face off with a Vine Knight boss during "Adira's Love". They will perpetually spawn right before facing the knight until you eliminate their spawn point by cleansing the flower they come from.

Using your bow, fire off three arrows in rapid succession to earn it. This isn't the only place you can do this. Another is also during Adira's Regret in the Village Heart. The spot is right after defeating the Rot Eater lizard.

Lastly, you can do this during the Trials as well if you've already passed these areas and still haven't earned it.
Combat Achievements
"Return to Sender"
Destroy a Mage with its own bomb.
I found this combat achievement to be one of the most difficult of the bunch. The goal here is to find a mage, whittle their health down as low as possible while breaking up their attempts to heal themselves and summon enemies and then, once they lob a bomb at us, parry said bomb back at them.

Tricky, but doable. In fact, there is a way to tip the scales in our favor if you do it in a certain spot. During the Woodsmith's portion of the game, you'll eventually find yourself in the Village Heart and deep underground.

You'll want to pay attention here on the map; you'll end up in a huge cavern with three corrupted flowers and a pool of poison below you.

The goal here is to bomb each pillar to the side and destroy the flowers on the left and right to lower the poison, then jump down. In theory at least! For this I highly recommend having the "Sprint Attack Heavy" unlocked. It makes a great interrupter that you can spam.

Here is where we put the favor back on us. Trigger one flower and return to the center platform as shown above. Next, make your way to the next one, destroy it and watch the poison below.

Once it "boils" for a second or two, drop down as shown and you'll simultaneously trigger the enemies and be teleported back to the center platform, safe from all attacks.

Dispatch the initial wave from up top to trigger both mages. Kill one while on top with your arrows and use your rot arrows to disrupt their healing. Once one is dead, jump down and engage the last mage.

Quickly run to them and use your "Sprint Attack Heavy" to interrupt their attacks, summons and heals. I recommend staying as close to them as possible. When they get ready to cast their bomb ability and you're hugging them, parry the bomb as soon as it leaves their hands to direct it back, killing them.

It can take a few tries, but this method allows you to face a mage on its own in as optimal circumstances (with no other distractions) as I could find. If you fail, simply reload your save or auto save.

"Sharpshooter"
Destroy an enemy by shooting a Bomb out of the air.
This is one of the easier combat-related achievements to get. Once you have access to bomb ability and the ability to slow down time when you draw your arrow(s).

Weaken any one enemy to about one or two more hits before defeat, then give yourself some distance between them and you, throw your bomb and quickly slow down time and fire your arrow into it, killing the enemy and clutching this achievement.

"Triple Tap"
Destroy 3 enemies with a single dash attack.
You won't be able to use the dash attack until very late-game when taught to you by the Village Elder, Zaju. Once you learn it, go to the trial " Forest Courtyard I" and weaken the first three enemies to about one hit each.

Gain some distance on them and raise your shield, then use your dash attack to kill all three simultaneously.

It's a fairly easy achievement to earn compared to some of the other combat ones and can be done in numerous places both in the Trials and outside of them.

Relic Achievements
"Taro's Fear"
Find Taro's Knife Relic.
You'll take possession of Taro's knife relic after meeting Rusu on top of the lookout, obtaining the bow ability and then defeating the Wood Knight to free Rusu's home from the corruption that has overran it.

"Taro's Love"
Find Taro's Food Offering Relic.
After cleansing all four shrines (Fishing Shrine, Water Shrine, Wood Shrine & Flower Shrine), you'll be able to open the door Rusu mentioned earlier. Inside are many offerings for protection given to the Sacred Tree. However, a fairly tough boss fight blocks your path: a fight with the Sprout Captain.

Inside will be weapons, food and particularly interesting will be Taro's food offering. Collect it as part of the story and you'll unlock this achievement.

"Taro's Regret"
Find Taro's Lantern Relic.
Found in the aptly named, "Lantern Cave", this relic is protected by one of the more difficult boss creatures you'll have encountered thus far. Upon defeating the Relic Guardian, you'll be rewarded with this relic. What a fight!

"Adira's Love"
Find Adira's Ox Relic.
Found out in the Fields during the Adira's spirit missions. You'll earn this achievement as part of the main story. You'll free the ox from the corruption that has immobilized it at the base of the tower, unlocking this achievement.

"Adira's Fear"
Find Adira's Hammer Relic.
This relic comes after freeing the Ox, Rufus. Rufus will assist in destroying the large bolder blocking your path into the forge, located high above the fields to the northeast.

Make your way to the boss guardian protecting the relic and you'll collect it upon its defeat.
Relic Achievements
"Adira's Regret"
Find Adira's Village Heart Relic.
After traveling through the Village Heart, as well as the Village Heart Caves deep below, you'll find this relic at the very end of your journey. Oddly enough, no guardian protects this relic when you stumble upon it; just the dark, damp caves hide it from you.

"Toshi's Fear"
Find Toshi's Incense Relic.
Once you learn the dash attack, you'll find this relic upon entering Toshi's Fear and making your way to the end, facing off against the Mask Maker. This teleporting warrior has a variety of attacks, though I found him surprisingly easy compared to the Corrupted Woodmsith.

He's quick and I don't really recommend parrying his attacks. Use your "Sprint Heavy Attack" to disrupt some of his moves and keep dodging to avoid his blade attacks. When he boxes you in and splits himself up, you need to shoot all four forms before he calls down a beam of energy, dealing massive damage. Putting your shield up will no block this particular attack.

Rot hammer and basic staff attacks do the most damage to him, so keep pounding away at him when you can and you should be able to make short work of him in no time.

"Toshi's Love"
Find Toshi's Village Crest Relic.
Toshi's Love is the gateway to the Warrior's Path and the Warrior, the guardian of this relic. The Mask Maker goes for speed and deception over grandiose, heavy attacks. He has a few quick blade attacks, but nothing you can't easily dodge.

The real trick is just staying on your toes and keeping your distance. He has a grab attack and a kick attack that he does if you're in close proximity to him. My strategy was to whittle him with arrow attacks, then rot arrows as I build up my courage.

His open opening attack is always to teleport and then hit with three blade attacks. You can, if you run right away from the cutscene, get in one heavy attack, then dodge his blade. His blade attacks cover ground if you're far away, but they are slow enough to dodge without much trouble.

The Warrior is probably one of the easiest relic protectors you'll come across.

"Toshi's Regret"
Find Toshi's Harpoon Relic.
Here you'll be tasked with acquiring Toshi's harpoon, which is guarded by the quick flying and deadly, Hunter. This boss fight requires you to be very adapt at your bow and arrow, as the Hunter flies, teleports and has a deadly knife attack that can be tricky to parry.

Headshots are key, as they will drop her to the ground to get a few whacks in with your staff or a well-timed rot hammer. Use the trees for cover and stay very mobile. If you haven't maxed out your shield or arrows beforehand, I highly recommend doing so.

Upon defeat, you'll retrieve the harpoon and unlock this achievement.
Boss Achievements
"Spirit Guide"
Defeat Corrupted Taro.
The final boss to Taro's story, the Corrupted Taro is a multistage fight that will put your skills to the test. Make good use of your parry ability, the weakspot on his right shoulder and aiming for the lantern to temporarily blind him.

In the first part, I kept my distance with arrows to build up my rot ability meter and parried when I could, then used rot hammer to deal sizeable damage. If you successfully parry his attack, it'll stun him momentarily to get a few hits in with your staff or to lay down a rot hammer hit if you can.

Once he loses his sword, he'll go close quarters and he can be tough to track. of, so if you need to, press [RT3] to put a tracker on him so it helps keep you in front of him. He runs around a lot at this stage and will circle you before trying to grab Kena. Make sure to dodge his grabs, otherwise you'll be squeezed and have no way to free yourself before taking a sizeable chunk of health out.

Once defeated, you'll unlock this acheivement and conclude Taro's arc. Well done!

"A Heavy Hammer"
Defeat the Corrupted Woodsmith.
The final boss in Adira's story, the Corrupted Woodsmith, is a devastating enemy to face. She has two forms, more of less.

In the beginning, she'll be tethered to a central crystal mechanism. You'll need to throw a bomb so it explodes, opening up the outer shell and exposing the core. Shoot three arrows in rapid succession into it to temporarily break the link.

The Woodsmith will drop and give you an opening to put some damage into her before getting up and re-forging it to protect herself. Do this one more time and on the third round, once you break the outer shell, do not attack her.

She'll quickly jump to the center of the map. When she does, throw a bomb on her; your window to do so is very limited. A cutscene will play where she breaks the contraption in two and now wields her hammer and a sword piece. When the custscene ends, she'll be hit by the bomb; use this time to put three arrows in the gold portion of her chest to down her quickly, then go in for some damage.

Here is where it gets tricky. I honestly don't recommend parrying her attacks, as I found it extremely difficult to time correctly. However, when she goes to the center of the map to summon the two minions to help her, throw on her. This will trigger her to do one ranged attack (block it with your shield), followed by one lunge attack (roll to the side to dodge it) and then one forward attack (double jump to dodge it). Attack her with rot hammers if you have any.

With enough damage she'll go back to the center again, which means you need to rinse and repeat the above until her defeat. It'll take some practice; she's very tough.

"A Leader Walks Alone"
Defeat Corrupted Toshi.
This boss isn't, in my opinion, isn't too difficult. He's fairly slow until he runs at you to attack with his sword and staff and his moves are extremely easy to interrupt, while also dealing decent damage to him.

For this fight, I kept a wide distance from him to minimize his melee attacks. Instead, I opted for charging him when he ran at me and using your dash attack to both interrupt him and deal damage.

Don't bother using your bow in this fight except for one area; he'll deflect them with his staff and often they strike you instead. When he glows gold and appears on the side of the map, he is vulnerable to a headshot which will cancel his magic missiles and drop him to the ground. This is the only time shooting him with your bow works.

Rinse and repeat until he's defeated. Enjoy the win because he'll take your Rot and create the Corrupt Rot God, which is one formidable foe.

"Restore Balance"
Defeat the Corrupted Rot God.
After defeating the Corrupt Toshi, he'll, naturally, not go down without a fight (again) and summon the Corrupt Rot God to defeat Kena. This is a multistage boss fight.

The first stage will have you focusing the red, glowing areas of his left hand, head, sides, right elbow and leg. In this portion of the game, the Corrupt Rot God has a grab attack, charge attack, scream (short distance of impact) and a sweeping arm attack. Utilize your dash attack to dodge everything and you should be just fine. When you destroy half of the red areas, you'll be thrust elsewhere and have to fight three stages of smaller enemies to reach him again.

The smaller enemies don't pose much of a threat. Stay mobile and keep your head on a swivel to avoid any unnecessary damage. As mentioned before, use your dash attack to avoid damage.

When you return to the Corrupt Rot God, rinse and repeat for the second half. The only change in the second fight is he now has a laser beam that sweeps to your right to your left. Dash attack through it to avoid damage. He'll throw you into a platforming realm. Do note that if you fall, you are returned to the start of the area. It is not game over.

After reaching the top, you need to maintain courage so you can use your rot abilities. Smaller enemies will spawn constantly, so use them to build rot actions. When he charges up, you'll see three rods on his back turn gold. One is on the left side and two on the right. Use your rot action to rip one out at a time. Upon the third one being pulled out, you'll down the Rot God.

Use your rot on the deadzone flower to end the fight. You've now completed the game on the hardest difficulty. A job well done!
╔ Collectible Achievements
There are a plethora of different collectibles in the game: Flower Shrines, Spirit Mail, Meditation Spots, Rot and Hats. You'll need to collect every item except the hats. You only need 50 hats and there are far more than that in game.

Below is a list of all the locations you'll need to find every collectible. Some collectibles are only obtained on NG+ (hats & charms), but a second playthrough isn't necessary unless you wish to do so on your own. There are no achievements associated with NG+.

Do note that charms are not tied to an achievement and aren't necessary to collect unless you wish to do so for their benefits. I recommend seeking some of them out, but don't spend too much of your karma unlocking them all, as you need it to unlock your skill tree. Prioritize skills over charms when unlocking stuff.
╟ Collectibles - Cursed Chests
"Curse Collector"
Open all Cursed Chests.
Cursed chests are few and far between compared to regular chests. They have a red glow around them to differentiate themselves from regular, harmless ones.

Each cursed chest has a requirement you must complete before being able to loot the treasure from within. Typically, it is defeating certain enemies, defeating enemies under a strict time limit or without getting hit. Things of that nature.

Some of them are pretty tough, so if you don't feel you can accomplish one, try coming back with more health of better skills to help compensate.

You can find the following cursed chests here (click the map for a larger, easier-to-view picture). Do note that the three cursed chests in the Village that are all side-by-side must be completed in order, but not all at once. You can find all the Cursed Chests here:

╟ Collectibles - Flower Shrines
"Good as New" & "Restoration Master"
Restore a Flower Shrine & Restore all of the Flower Shrines.
Flower Shrines dot various locations of the map, always enveloped in the rot, wishing to be freed by Kena.

Interacting with them once they are free of rot and restored will reward you with a slew of blue crystals for your efforts.

Some are able to be cleared of rot after combat, some from using your rot spirits to smash the rot away and transform it into vibrant foliage by using Forest Tears. It all depends on the situation.

Before claiming the shrine, it will glow blue; make sure you collect the crystals from it!
╟ Collectibles - Spirit Mail
"The Last Stop"
Deliver all Spirit Mail.
Spirit Mail show up as small cloth bags; they glow bright yellow and are pretty scarce compared to some of the other collectibles.

Collecting them alone won't count towards the achievement, though. you'll need to return the mail to their respective homes within the Village in order for it to count.

Each Spirit Mail will show an icon on your map of where it needs to go once collected as shown below:

Returning the Spirit Mail will remove all poison from each house it is delivered to and give you access to finding other collectibles from within, so once you clear the poison, make sure to explore the house for additional goodies.

There is at least one collectible inside each house, so keep looking!

You can find all the Spirit Mail here:
╟ Collectibles - Meditation Spots
"Zen Master"
Meditate at all Meditation Spots.
The meditation spots dotted around the map serve two purposes. One, the achievement, obviously, but the other is that each spot gives you a little bit more health to work with.

Since we're playing on the hardest difficulty, every little drop of health is severely desired, so make sure to seek them out as soon as you can to help survive your fights.

Not all meditation spots are out in the open; some require specific main story elements to be completed in order to obtain them, so if you can't reach a certain one, try continuing the main story to open it up.

You can find all meditation spots here:
╟ Collectibles - Rot
"No Stone Unturned"
Find all of the Rot.

Rot are those cute little folk that follow you around and help Kena on her quests and adventures. They love helping, eating and, of course, hats!

There are exactly 100 hundred to collect to bring on your journey and they are hidden in all manner of places: under rocks, tree branches, in leaf piles, awarded for defeating enemies and even in treasure chests.

You'll need to look high and low to locate all of them. To make things easier, below are the maps of all the Rot locations. Keep in mind, all the clusters of three Rot that are next to each other are earned from defeating that respective boss in that area.
╚ Collectibles - Hats
"Hat Collector"
Collect 50 Rot Hats.
With the addition of the anniversary DLC included, there are now a total of 71 hats in the game, but for the achievement, we only need to collect 50 of them, so you have some breathing room.
Below are all hats in the that you can earn on your first playthrough, as some hats are locked behind a NG+ playthrough. Finding the hats is all you need to do; you're not required to go to the Hat Carts and actually equip any of them if you don't want to.

But, come on, those hats look pretty darn cute on your Rots, so why not dress them up!
