Windows 11 fix

English version of the windows 11 fix for insurgency

Insurgency uses a very old version of BattlEye, so it can cause crashes/blue screens of death.

So, how can you fix this? Since the developers haven't published a fix yet, follow the instructions below:

1) Open the Insurgency installation folder
2) RENAME the BattlEye folder to something else (e.g. BEYE) and REPLACE the folder with the BattlEye folder of another game that has a newer version, a working version (e.g. Unturned).(Unturned is working as of 2/27/2025 and is free.)
3) In the new BattlEye folder you have, replace the BELauncher.ini file with the original BELauncher.ini file from Insurgency.
4) Enjoy the game again.

Sike, launching from the desktop doesn't work if the server's running Battleye.

Guys, you can also just go to your steam apps folder, create a shortcut of the insurgency executable, and copy it to your desktop. Using a desktop shortcut to launch the has prevented any problems for me.
