Task 1:Fuel
As the leader of an advanced city,it is your job to ensure everyone is doing well, your first problem is fuel.

The frostland is a place of resources and riches, waiting to be plundered.
In your city, locate a coal deposit first and then construct a extraction district on top of it,with research, its even possible to unlock unlimited deposits that are deep.

Coal mines can allow you to extract the coal at a much more efficient rate.

But except the deep deposits, eventually your regular deposits will run out,if you are playing in a map that has oil and/or Geothermal geysers then you are in luck! But if not,you will have to venture out into the frostland and establish a fuel colony or a oil outpost.

Keep an eye on your fuel storage, they cant carry excess fuel,so always construct more fuel stockpile hubs

Once you have oil,you can research an upgrade based on your corresponding community and/or faction, there you can choose:

-Adaptation:adaptive pumps

or

-Progress:oil pumps
Task 2:Food
Now,food gathering may sound easy, but it isnt, since a city has from thousands to millions of inhabitants, you always need more food to feed your citizens.

Locate a food deposit and construct a food district if you have the melting deep deposits upgrade (the upgrade that i mentioned at task 1),you can have infinite amounts of food to get,but not to satisfy all your citizens

There is also another posibillity,if you have a logistics district built in an old waypoint, you can construct a food colony somewhere or a food settlement.
Task 3:The council
In frostpunk 2,Politics exist, and its your job as the steward to manage the factions and the communities, what satisfies some will not satisfy the other.

Lets look at some aspects:

In the council, you dont just sign laws and boom, they are aproved, only if you have the captains authority can it be done so,as the steward, you have weak power in the council with no rule laws signed,so the factions will have to say yes or no if you want it to go as you expected.

next, some laws must be researched inorder to unlock them,Remember:Laws and Researches and buildings will influence the zeitgeist of your city.

now,the book of laws is categorised in 4 sections: Survival,Society, labour And Rule, and each has diffrent laws that you can choose to vote on,with rule laws, its a bit tricky, factions will vote based on their relations with the steward,so if you REALLY wanna be captain, you need to support your factions so they vote FOR you,not AGAINST you.
Task 4:Housing
Every city has standards, and a common standard is the need for housing,so there are 2,no 3 ways to handle this.

First, you build a housing district, its good for beginners who dont have a research institute yet

Second,if you have a research institute, you can research a housing block for civilians to live at their workplaces

And third:you reallocate your citizens to your colonies, where you use the upper 2 solutions to meet their demands.
Task 5:Tension and trust
Everyone knows tension,Radicalisation, anarchy bla bla bla,but if there is tension, there is danger

here is how tension comes in:

-Cold problem
-Hunger problem
-Disease problem
-Squalor problem

And here is how you can reduce tension:

-Reduce the problem to noticable
-Pass laws that have an tension reduction impact
-Research ideas that reduce tension
-construct fighting hubs close to housing districts

!WARNING! If tension is at maximum, you have an ultimatum,if you dont solve it,the city will fall and the game is over,i barely got away with it like 25 times.

The same ultimatum counts for trust

Here is how you can increase trust if you lost some of it:

-make relations better with communities and factions
-fulfill peoples demands.
Thats all!
So,i hope you enjoyed my guide, this is the first one i ever made,i hope you will remember my words, proud leaders of cities

go forth, and lead humanity as how you see fit
