under the subclass "cvar" you can see "type"
This is where you change your crosshair type.
"r" "g" and "b" represent the colour setting of a crosshair and can be configured aswell.

This is so stupid, there was no reason why this couldn't have been part of the "Profile" pane in the options menu.
Just stupid, lazy programming.
All of this manual config editing got a bit more fiddly with the addition of widgets, and I never updated this guide. This information is extremely outdated at this point.
i always have a back up file of previous .CFG i made so why not save them directly after i made the changes in consol. :)
