How to Build a Bell Tower
By Ampjet
In this guide you will be learning how to build a bell tower.

This is a more of an advanced build and this guide makes the assumption that you have a working knowledge of Tiny Glade mechanics and that you know how to manipulate all the controls to create a basic structure.

IMPORTANT: In this guide I will explain the step in text first and then the image under the text will be the visual demonstration of the explanation.

If this guide helped you, please remember to give it a thumbs up, an award if you're feeling extra generous, and be sure to comment to let me know what you thought! Feedback is always appreciated, so be sure to let me know if something was not explained in a clear manner. And please be sure to visit my other guides at the bottom of this guide!

Thanks!

Step One: Create First Box
To get started make a box, flatten the roof and raise the structure up to be as tall as you'd like. Use the bottom square of the "squash and stretch" tool to raise it up. It is ok that your building will look like it is up on "stilts," we will fix that later.

Step Two: Create Second Box
Now create a second box that will go right on top of the first box.

You will want to raise this box up so there is a gap between it and first box, like the image below.

This new box is now the roof. Position it so it is right on top and that the structure columns it creates go right on top of the first box's columns as well. Adjust everything so they are sized well and the clipping looks natural.

Step Three: Create the Bell
To create the bell you need to create two round structure cylinders. Create them both right next to the main tower structure.

Pull them up higher and adjust their roof slopes like in the image below. Left clicking and hold on the roof will give you the four arrows- pull one roof slope to get an outward slope, and on the other roof, pull the other way to get an inward looking roof slope.

Now adjust the roof's heights. The outward sloped roof will be the main body of the bell and it will be taller. The inward roof slope piece is the "mouth" of the bell that curves outwards.

One by one position these two structures so they are in the middle of the "main" tower structure between the gap you created in Step Two. These "bell pieces" should be perfectly overlapping each other to the best of your ability.

As you can see, the two roof structures combined will create a bell shape. If the shape is not to your liking, play around with it until you get something that looks like the image below.

Step Four: Create Tower Base
Time to create the base of our bell tower and cover up the "stilts" that I have mentioned. To do this create a box, flatten the roof, and move it all the way down to the bottom. Adjust the sides so it lines up nicely with the walls of the bell tower.

Now create another box, again push it to the bottom. This one will become the stairs. Squash it as small as you can.

Using the path tool, draw path along side of the box you just created. You will see stairs form. I recommend using a small brush for this.

If you happen to draw path on the other box, you will see little doors appear. Use the path eraser tool to remove these. Again I recommend using a small brush for this to be more precise.

Step Five: Create Tower Roof
Now we will add detail to the roof of the tower. Create a box and put it at the top of the structure. Flatten the roof of the new box, not the roof that was already there.

Using the bottom square of the "squash and stretch" tool- bring the base of the box all the way up and make it a pretty short box. We are going to use this box as a detail to go around the roof that was already created. Fit this box perfectly around the roof.

Pull the roof arrows, so the roof looks like the image below.

Now create a cylinder structure on top of the roof.

Position it in the middle and adjust the slope of the roof as you'd like. I personally like an inward slope.

Step Six (Final!): Paint and Decorate
Paint and decorate your tower! If you use the "Tudor Style" for the structure, like I do in the following images, you may need to adjust your building some so all of the various pieces clip together naturally.

You will see how the "Tudor Style" wood beams will require adjusting compared to the stone that was there before.

You will notice that under the roof piece that is the bell, there is still a cylinder. I recommend panting this the black color- this will make it look more like a shadow under the bell in screenshots.

Add windows, flags, and details!

Take a final screenshot and show your friends!

That turned out really cool Kreativling. I like what you did to the tower on top of the bell. Well done!
